Im a busy and exhausted mom that wasnt getting any regular exercise (a must for my sanity!). When our insurance company started offering discounted gym memberships I did my research based on two major things. 1. How friendly it was to kids and 2. if I would feel comfortable exercising in public there (ie, Im not a "hot mom" :)). The other gyms in the area are nice and theyre even cheaper. But they dont have the same friendly and down to earth feel of the CAC. Ive been there a little more than a week now and Im SO incredibly happy! This is a mothers paradise! :) They have a fantastic Kids Club and I never worry when I drop off my 15 month old son. The childcare staff is very caring and enthusiastic about their work. The other moms are friendly. The staff are helpful and seem genuinely happy to work there. And I am not worried about looking like a dork on an exercise machine or in a class. :) Im exercising next to happy old folks and other down to earth people. Thats right... no stinky jocks who look like they live (and will eventually die) at the gym. Bottom line is, CAC may be more expensive and not as "polished" looking, but Id rather pay more for a comfortable atmosphere, happy staff, and a place that my son enjoys. Im one happy mommy!

I love this gym and have to say its not just because of the excellent staff. The Gresham gym staff try to keep things super clean and I was even told they have a cleaning service that comes every night. I see the female customer service staff in the womens restroom all the time cleaning windows/mirrors wiping down handles and replacing amenities etc. Every time there is an issue of something that has been broken or needs something updated or replaced, I have noticed, theyre always super quick to have it serviced and back in order. In the six months Ive been here the womens hot tub has been serviced and repaired, the wet community sauna and spa have both needed service and within days were back in order. With as many people coming in and out of this place I can imagine things get used quite a bit so for them to be repaired and back in order as quickly as they are has been impressive.

I live near 3 gyms. Before I went to Cascade Athletic Club, I visited the two cheaper options. In both locations as soon as I opened the door the music was blaring and there were people pouring out of the buildings. Cascade still has music, still has busy hours, but it just *feels* different. Its a place where you can think or talk and workout at the same time. I had a great experience with personal training here. The trainer really took an interest in me as a person and called and checked in when I started to loose motivation. This gym has lots of social activities and things for kids. Its very family friendly

Dirtiest gym Ive ever been too! (Been to 5, worked at 1) No cleaning done in the free weights section or the windows in the first three months of my membership. Only seen a mop a guy do janitorial one time in the bathroom. Ive been there 16 months! A/C rarely comes on! Personal trainers dont smile or say hi. I only go there because its one block from my house. This place is really depressing. 24 hr fitness is $19 less per month. Im leaving!

Super chill club. Friendly staff. Great amenities. Womens locker room is very body positive and a great mix of all types! I take group power classes, swim laps in the pool, hit the weight room and enjoy the steam, sauna and hot tubs! Raquet ball is next. Theres no way to get bored or stuck in a rut at this club. They offer everything. Big fan. Do It!

I looked at their website and they do not show the cost of membership... That seems kind of sketchy. They want you to call so they can "see which option fits you best..." Sounds like a classic bate and switch... I could be wrong, but every other gym I looked at has a price schedule. I think Ill just go to community rec. center...

Decent sized gymnasium with all the amenities of a pool, cardio, classroom, and etc. Anyways, my one star review is for when I cancelled from this gym and was continued to be charged for months. I was turned to collections, make sure to get a handwritten note when cancelling membership.

I joined the gym after tearing my PCL. I joined because they could accommodate my injury and rehab with a arm bike and a saltwater pool which you can not find at most gyms. The atmosphere is also refreshing compared to most gyms these days.

The varity of scheduled programs, is plentiful. I enjoy the Tai Chi classes, the most. The facility is one of the best, in Portland, & I recommend it to anyone, the people, & facility are terrific.

This is a great gym wonderful staff and clean and the best part no one judges you you can feel free to be your self and work out in peace without wondering if anyone is thinking why your there.

Very good all around gym. They have plenty of equipment for cardio and weight training. A full selection of group classes and a lap pool. Great place to get in, workout and go.

Great local gym. Never crowded. Lots of older folks. No need to worry about what others are wearing or doing. You can do your thing comfortably here.

Pretty chill gym. No gym bunnies or too many bros. An older crowd, too. Saline pool, pretty good equipment, and usually quiet after 8pm.

Was traveling and my hotel didnt have fitness center & they gave me a one day pass! Great equipment, quit and a great staff!!!

They need more stuff fixed the Ants & flys there are a strange site hope they fix everything even the bathing suit dryer
