After living in Oregon city for the last three and a half years, it was finally time to move on to a new adventure. We sold our previous home with Andrew Finkle three and a half years ago and were so pleased with his services that we wanted to use him again! Andrew has only gained experience, knowledge, expertise and passion over the last three and a half years and we were treated with the best possible service in selling our home. We were in a similar situation as our previous home in wanting to get top dollar, but not knowing if we were asking too much for the time/area. Andrew advised us well and we landed on a price we felt good about. During the entire process Andrew advocated for us, negotiated well during the initial offer stage, inspections and appraisal. His knowledge of the area, as well as the current climate of real estate in Portland was priceless as we looked to him for wisdom and direction. Not only is Andrew a great realtor, he truly cares for his clients. You gain a friend when you hire Andrew. Let me be clear, hes not the type of friend that just tells you what you want to hear - he is kind and gracious, but when its time to be honest and shoot you straight, he is direct and pointed, giving advice and information to allow you as the home buyer/seller to make an informed and empowered decision. Did I mention hes hilarious? Well, he is - he makes home buying/selling fun, and you definitely wont regret hiring him! THANK YOU ANDREW!

I originally started working with an agent here last summer, but ended up deciding not to purchase at that time. When the time was right this summer, the agent we worked with last year had moved away, but handed us off to Ivy Chappelle. This ended up being one of the most fortuitous things to happen to us. Ivy was wonderful. She was responsive, helpful, knowledgeable, and REALLY took the time to figure out what on earth we were looking for, even when the criteria changed on a minute to minute basis (we are very demanding people!). Ivy never seemed annoyed with my thousands of questions or pushy nature. She ended up showing us a house that wasnt one we had really been interested in seeing, but she was on the money- it was the perfect house for our needs. Ivy helped us get the house for UNDER asking price (in this market!), and coordinated EVERYTHING- from the inspections to special paperwork to the tenant who was causing all KINDS of issues for us. I think she would have taken care of our loan paperwork if she could have!! I know it is rare for a real estate agent to get such a glowing review, and a lot of people end up not loving their agent very much. I dont even leave reviews very often, but we were really, really lucky to have found Ivy and this agency. I dont know what we would have done without her. I hope that people can read this and are wise enough to contact Ivy, the decision will make your life a lot easier.

Worst real estate company ever!!! We hired Rich Ovitt who works for Nick Shivers Team. He lacked negotiation skills, and experience. After inspections cleared, we never heard from him again, not even during closing!!! When we called Nick Shivers personally on his cell phone to complain about his agent and he DID NOT return our call. How rude is that?! Dont expect fliers to be there when your house goes on the market but instead they show up a week later, even after your house has an accepted offer. Rich had us meet the buyers in person without him being there, a big NO NO, which left us very uncomfortable and ambushed without representation. We even emailed Nick Shivers and NO response. That is no way to keep customers happy in any way. Dont believe the hype on the ads and website. Find a different company to work with. We gave our money to a company that HARDLY WORKED for us at all.

Needless to say Rich Ovitt gave us great advice and was very supportive through out the process. Then we worked with Ivy Chappelle on finding the perfect house for my family. From the very first call to enquire about a listing, to the closing day on our house Donovan Birch was amazing. We were trying to buy a home while simultaneously moving to Portland from the other side of the world. His knowledge of the areas and market proved invaluable as he guided us to finding the perfect home for our family. Donovan is also extremely well versed in the VA programs, and knows just how to advocate for military clients using these types of loans. In this crazy market we figured out very quickly just how important it is to have an agent that is confident providing sellers information about the ins and outs of VA loans. This review is way overdue. I worked with Rosanna Del Rosario at the end of 2015 beginning of 2016. Rosanna assisted me with the search for my first home. She connected me with a great loan officer. After a couple months of searching and learning it turned out that the timing was just not right to buy my first home. Rosanna is incredibly knowledgeable of the market and worked diligently to find me properties that met my target. She was always very prompt in responding to any questions or requests as well. Rosanna was an absolute pleasure to work with. I will undoubtedly be utilizing Rosanna and the Nick Shivers Team in the future. I would recommend to anyone whether they are purchasing their first home or their hundredth!
