I went here and need some lumber and some fasteners and small stuff and when I asked for the lumber I need three guys were working and had no idea if they had it no one knew what it was or if they had it I asked If i could go walk through and look they told me no and just stared blankly at me so I left and stumbled upon 52 ace hardware and lumber and they were great they even cut the wood and helped me refine my plan and saved me allot of work and money they are on the corner of 52nd and rural I believe

Love this place! I go here about twice a month (or more in the summer) and always find what Im looking for. The people are friendly and a great resource. The place feels very much like the neighborhood family hardware store of yesteryear. I love to grab our wagon and walk up there with my 3 year old without worry of her getting lost in the store or run over by a 16 year old driving a fork-lift...big box hardware be dammed. And they also sell a fine line of artisan skate-boards. Cheers!

Telephone interaction only, so far. Searched for an odd sized Kwikset deadbolt latch online. Found a place and callled, it turned out it was a locksmith. They were rude and annoyed on the phone at my inquiry, finally got them to refer me to a place that might help and they referred me to Aces. Called them right away and WORLDS different on the phone. Helpful and friendly, very professional phone service and will be going in to get help finding a new deadbolt latch.

The kids kicked out a window and I wanted to try and replace it myself. Being a novice handyman the crew at Ace Hardware really came through for me. They gave me great instructions and encouragement. After they helped me gather what I needed I followed their instructions and my new window looks great. Special shout out to Chad. Really nice guy and very helpful. You name it, they have it. Plants. Hammers. Screws. Paint. Lawn tools. Cleaning supplies. Even skateboards! The new garden center is amazing, and Im so glad to have this hardware store when Im shopping in the Woodstock neighborhood. Its close to Reed College, Eastmoreland, and just a quick drive from Sellwood. Plus, even though its an "Ace Hardware", its locally owned and operated...which counts for a lot in my book!

Great staff, very helpful and friendly. Greeted me at the door with a smile and helped me with cutting down a couple screws I needed special. Huge selection of items and could have sold me new ones but I really just wanted these cut down so thats what they did. I very much appreciate the "what does the customer need" attitude. Highly recommend this location to anyone in the area! Thanks guys

Went for a couple specific bolts, and they were all so helpful as soon as I walked in the door. They had exactly what I needed and when it came to 50 cents and didnt have anything but a credit card they said dont worry about it and just gave them to me. (Next time I go in, and there will definitely be a next time, Ill pay them back, but wont forget how awesome they were.)

Really reliable basic neighborhood hardware store. Great array of what you need, from paint to wheelbarrows to nuts and bolts. And if they dont have it (like some flooring stuff I needed once), they know where you can get it. Friendly, well-staffed which is a huge plus, a solid, all around, go-to spot for all the non-lumber items for yard and home repair projects.

I go here all the time. Theyre always friendly and helpful and the store has most of what I need at any given point. Love it so much. Everybody loves my dog. They come and play with him. I lost my my husband just recently. They are so helpful on getting what I need. When I buy something, and walking my dog and I cant carry it. They will put it behind the counter with my dogs name on it.

Ive come here before to buy plants from their nursery, and to get gardening supplies. The staff here is always very friendly and are happy to provide help or let you browse at your leisure. The plants that Ive purchased have been healthy and the prices are reasonable.

I called them about Glow in the dark paint I saw on their website. They only had the spray paint type in store, which I wasnt looking for. So they suggest I check out a store right across the street from them. GREAT SERVICE!!

Employees stand just inside the door to help you locate anything in the store, how fast is that? The garden center is unusual for a hardware store with actual plants and its own staff.

Great place to pick up the things you need quick. Staff is very helpful. Also, they carry some skateboard decks and accessories. Some motorcycle tools, as well.
