I write this in hopes of helping other parents make an educated decision on their childrens daycare options; The staff at West Salem Toddler Care next to Annette are incredible and my son speaks highly of them. I truly feel like they care about the well being of my child. My only concern is the owner of the facility, Nancy; Like most parents I am always concerned about the progress of my child in school. Recently it has come to my attention that Nancy has intentionally held my child back from progressing to the facility on Taggart Drive where the older children attend school. It has now been a week of phone calls with Nancy refusing to return my calls with an explanation as to why this has happened. I do not take removing my child from a daycare lightly as he has developed relationships with the people that work there and the children that he attends with however the continued disregard by Nancy is quickly pushing me in that direction. I unfortunately in good faith can no longer recommend this business to other parents. Please consider other options before going with West Salem Kids Care.

I just want to let the parents know not to send your children here. I worked here as an assistant for 6 months and had to quit. The Teachers are amazing, but the owner Nancy is terrible. She left me at the Gilbert house alone with 10 children playing on the playground. There was no wayI could keep an eye all the kids running around by myself without having a teacher there. I have heard her bad mouth the parents to the children and staff countless times. Her son was in high school at the time of me working there him and his friends would come in and hang out talking about inappropriate things Im front of the children. When picking a place for your children to be cared for this is not the correct place. If she continues doing the things she does, it is only a matter of time before she will be shut down.

I would have to agree. The director, Nancy is very rude and unprofessional. ( The teacher Camille is great.) I will never take my child there again, the way I was spoke to and treated by Nancy is unforgivable, you should never speak to a parent the way she spoke to myself and daughter. My daughter had an accident at school and was accused of having Diarrhea after the teached witnessed it was not so, but Nancy would not listen to her own teacher nor myself and refused to have my daughter back in school despite what her teacher witnessed. :-( She brought me to tears in front of my child by the way she was speaking (with a raised voice) to me ( not to mention, while I was holding my daughter). I highly recommend you look elsewhere!

After just a month or so after my son went to the daycare I pulled him out. Not because the teachers were rude or anything, but because the director, Nancy was very rude and unprofessional. I will never take my children to her for any daycare needs, nor will I ever recommend her daycare. I have never talked to her before and the first time I talk to her, I catch her in a lie, and she knew it. So she decided to tell me that I was being rude because I was questioning her, and that she remembered that I was a rude parent, when I was never there to see her or her teachers, my husband was. Sounds like someone needs some professional lessons.

Ive been using West Salem Kids Care for a year now, and I LOVE the teachers. However the owner Nancy just makes my husband and I uncomfortable, she is always very cold and distant. The icing on the cake was this last week. I was about a week late on paying my bill and was in full communication with Nancy about our financial situation when my child came home crying... She said to me that Nancy threatened to remove her from school if the bill wasnt paid!!! Keep in mind my daughter is only six, and Nancy saw it fit to make threats to my daughter who is a child. My husband and I are going to take our business elsewhere!

I am very picky about who watches my kids after some bad experiences, and I can say without a doubt I would recommend this center to anyone with no hesitation. Nancy has always been very polite and friendly, and Camille, Pam and Athena are great with my 3 and 6 year old kids. They do fun activities like game day and visits to tulip farms and petting zoos, and my kids were always happy to go there. I am moving and I am very sad to have to take my kids out of this center at the end of the month.

I have never taken my kids here and have not made my decision yet as to where I would like to send them, however, I AM upset just reading these reviews. I would never even risk it. My children are too important to me to even put them in a "maybe" not so good situation. If the owner is lying and threatening kids who knows what she would do when no one is looking? As a mother it gives me the creeps and I would never trust this lady!! Parents please use better judgment!!!

As a longtime parent with West Salem Kids Care, I have nothing but praise for the care for my children here! We first met Nancy and her staff when we moved here and she provided tons of information, resources and love to my kids. It meant so much to me to feel secure everyday leaving for work, knowing they were in good hands. I would highly recommend anyone looking for care in the Salem area to WSKC.

I can not thank Google users enough for their reviews and unfortunate situations that help me avoid a terrible mistake and nightmare. I can only hope my research gets better than this.

My five year old really enjoyed preschool here. He really loved Nancy and all the teachers. I wish we had tried this place sooner!
