Dear Kaya Kalugin, I came across your review on here the other day and I was absolutely disturbed and hurt to see the stuff you had to say. When you came into the salon you asked me to match your platinum blonde hair, to the extensions which were a few shades yellow (warmer side of blonde). Which then really confused me because from our last appointment you mentioned you hated any yellow tones in your hair. I didnt think it made sense. I made the decision to use color vs. bleach to lift your roots, I felt like I wanted to save the integrity of your hair because your ends looked very porous and dry from previous bleachings you had done SOMEWHERE ELSE. End result, I thought your new growth matched perfectly to your mid and ends and it had the perfect warm tone that matched your extensions. EVERYONES hair is so different on how it takes in color and I have mentioned this to you before, so when you washed your hair at home (your ends being so porous) the color just slipped out of your ends, creating warmth to peek through at your new growth. I DID NOT ruin your hair. I charged you $90 for the work I did and how much color your dry ends absorbed. I recommended a 2 week rest for your hair and that I would be happy to fix it giving up my time for free but quoting you $20 for extra color I would use for a whole new process. Salons tend to get busiest on the weekends, thats why you couldnt reach me or the salon the day you said you called and I apologize for that. In no means was I ignoring your calls or messages. Your comment "Go back to school!!" is what really offended me. I did 2 years of training to be where I am today and experiencing hair like yours is what will make me a better colorist, so I Thank You for letting me understand hair like yours. My education did not stop after I graduated from Aveda Institute, I will forever be learning how to be the best stylist/colorist I can be for the rest of my career. So please be a little more sensitive around people like me who are trying their best in learning and achieving the best results for all of my clients. Thank you and have a great day. Irina

The shop was busy, but clean, fun to look at and professional. Lots of magazines to look for new styles too. I had my own picture for the pixie hair cut I wanted and Jillian, the lovely little stylist took her time, discussed it with me and then gave me the best cut I think Ive ever had. I just love it. She colored my daughters hair that day (Monday 10/12) as well, and we both are very satisfied. I highly recommend the shop as a professional, fun experience.

This review is for guys. Cherry Red is the best place to get a hair cut if you are looking for more than just a barber. I am very picky about haircuts and found Irena and Carlyn to do an exceptional job. Jillian the owner is fantastic and these gals have always been attentive to my needs and provided the service I would expect from a salon with class. No integrity. Will not return. Will warn off anyone who asks. With better than 2 months to complete a wig in period style, I received a call 1 week out expressing concerns about the project. I had supplied the necessary tools to complete the project. I was charged $65 for a last minute unusable hack job. Angry? You bet.
