Got called about a position because they had come across my resume online somewhere. They told me about the position at a biochemical facility which matched up to my degree. Thats where the positives end. They wanted me to fill out forms that would be sent via email. It took calling and emailing for almost a week before my recruiter who had passed me off to another staff member who was supposed to be sending the forms finally sent them to me himself. I filled out the forms, went up for an interview and then scheduled my interview with the company the position was with. Got offered the position and did more paperwork and was told Id be starting right away. For 3 weeks it was oh the company hasnt set a start date or they would set a date then aerotek would call and say it was being changed but not till when. Once i finally started the first couple weeks were ok but then anytime i had a question it was like pulling teeth trying to reach someone for an answer. 3 weeks in the job was no longer a good fit but was told to just stay and keep doing it instead of ending the assignment and finding something else. After christmas i had to call in due to having to rush my wife to the hospital. I was emailed not called saying my assignment was being terminated. I was then told to schedule a time to drop off my work badge and my recruiter kept changing the appointments. I asked to reschedule once due to strep throat and was told they would no longer work with me. Their staff then called me a week later to inform me that the company was extending my contract. When i let the woman know "thats funny because they terminated the assignment earlier in the month" she had no clue of this. The staff doesnt communicate with each other showing how disorganised and unprofessional they really are. Id recommend using any other staffing agency out there cause theres none worse than aerotek.

When I started working "for" them, I had graduated college only a few months before. There was an entry level engineering position with a very prominent company that they were advertising through Careerbuilder as they have complete control of that website. I applied through them to get the job, and I was able to get the position. When it came time to discuss pay rate, I really didnt know what was fair or not, as thats one thing they never manage to ever tell you in school. I thought they were giving me a pretty fair number, so I accepted. A few months into the contract, a friend of mine whom I graduated with and was equally qualified got a similar position to mine in the exact same department at the same level as me, however I learned that he went through a different contracting firm, and he was actually making 70% MORE money than I was, even though we were doing nearly identical jobs. When I confronted Aerotek with this information, they pretty much said there was nothing they could do...which makes less than no sense, but whatever. They later give me a 2 dollar an hour raise! Oh boy! Now my buddy was only making 10 dollars an hour more than I was, so it was good? I later learned that the company I work for pays the exact same amount of money to ALL contracting houses for entry level engineering positions like mine. When its all said and done, Im taking home a little over HALF of the money the company I actually work for is paying for me. Considering the only "benefit" I get from Aerotek is a paid day off every 10 weeks, I think thats pretty damn lame. My word of advice would be, if you find a job with them, take the position to ANY other contracting house, and dont let them screw you over.

I have worked in IT for various staffing agencies, Aerotek and their affiliate TekSystems are by far the worst staffing agencies I have ever worked for. Addeco, kForce, Experis, other local staffing agencies, anyone is better than Aerotek/TekSystems. They only care about themselves and their client (understandable), but to end an assignment, they will call you up and tell you to never go back to the client ever again. No staffing agencies have ever done this to me except Aerotek/TekSystems. At first I thought it was my fault but again, only Aerotek/TekSystems does this, in addition their cut of your pay is the highest out of every staffing agency, they have left me with the worst staffing agency impression out of the 6 staffing agencies I have worked for in the past 5-6 years.

I inadvertently became employed with Aerotek after applying to Netflix, who dont do direct hires. After that ended, Aerotek found me a new assignment. Long story short, they misrepresented a telemarketing job as one where I would be calling people who had expressed interest in a product. The term they used was "warm leads." Try "cold calling." Then I found out that another recruiter had asked a coworker of mine to lunch. If that was really all business, how come mine didnt do that? Then, when the director of the telemarketing place stood behind us saying, "THIS IS BULLSHIT" when we werent selling anything, and I asked to be reassigned, my recruiter said I should have given two weeks notice and they couldnt place me anymore. Perhaps Im better off.

Never was a big fan of staffing temp agencies! I have done my share of working for several of these agencies over the years, If you can get directly hired on & weed out the middle man that is the best thing. You get low balled on your wage & these agencies make about $8 to $9 hr. off of you & you have a 90 day probation period. Then if you get hired on you start all over, but there are a few shops that dont do that & if your lucky they hire you on & your medical & dental insurance starts The same day. after your 90 day probation period. If you can hire on a union shop that is your best bet! Staffing agencies dont care about you there just middle man order takers!

I had a very positive experience with Aerotek. I moved here from Chicago due to my wife finding a job in PDX. I was feeling a bit lost and starting to feel desperate after weeks of unsuccessful job hunting when I came across Aerotek. Jordan(recruiter) brought me in for an interview and was extremely informative and helpful throughout the whole interview process. I am currently working for a company that I enjoy very much with great hours. Would recommend Aerotek to friends and family should they ever be in my situation.

Tried them 3 times, all 3 times they would offer me about 6 or 7 positions I said great and looked forward to hearing back in regards to interviews and never once heard back from them. Each time I would call to inquire about the jobs they would tell me the recruiter I interviewed with wasnt there and then they would offer me new positions I of course said yes and yet again zero ability to hear back from them and it becomes near impossible to get a hold of the recruiter you interview with.

Mostly useless. Tried this place twice and both times were unsatisfactory. As with JEM in a previous review, they brought me in with glowing terms then said there wasnt much they could do--clearly a numbers game. I did get an interview for a low-end position--I backed out as it was barely above minimum wage. Afterward, they wouldnt return my phone calls or answer emails. Evidently, theyre paid by who shows up and repeat visits from we-the-workers dont count.
