All the associates are really kind and caring they make sure to let you know you are a team and if you have any issues with any of the assignments given they try and find a solution however if they cant find any they find you another assignment without treating you differently. I believe all these bad reviews about them being rude and unfriendly are only ones side of the story I worked for the Tigard location any all throughout my time there I had a very nice relationship with all the associates there and I was never treated bad. You will get ki.dness if you give kindness if your taking advantage of this company on the regular of course they will be upset because trust me this company is so understanding about you missing work for personal needs but you need to also be honest and not just call out because you are too lazy to work. Express let me miss one whole week of work because of my heart condition while I was hospitalized and when I returned they help me find another assignment right away without giving me the nasty eye. They will work with you as long as you work with them. I overall rate the Tigard location a 5 STAR but I will rare the experience a 3 because I do believe there is a few things express should do better from their side and that is seeing how the employees treat express employees during their assignments. My spouse worked for the Gerber company and on his first day he told me how the managers there were very rude and harassing and they were demanding people work on days they werent even scheduled to work he also mentioned how the managers there spoke back and forth to each other very unprofesional and when they got upset they used cursed words. I myself worked as a temp associate for a leasing company and the manager at the time had mentioned to me that if I worked for the company I would receive a bonus for every apartment I leased. She also mentioned to me that she had called express to see if I could receive the bonus I had earned for that month and that express had denied it because it was way too much money to pay out to me. I was also able to see every month how much express was charging for me an hour and how much they were making compared to what I was making and I believe that any express employee shouldnt be told those things because it brings a lot of stress to you. So My word of advice would be to put attention to the companies express is helping out because many of them arent really honest they expect you to go behind an express managers word and do what they want you to do instead so that they dont look bad with them. Once again I RATE the Tigard location a 5 STAR only be cause of the associates but I RATE the experience a 3 due to the companies they help.

This is the most unprofessional, unorganized chaotic organization I have ever seen. Its simply unacceptable. You are better off walking into McDonalds or a store and applying directly. The staff were rude, unprofessional, and arrogant. I have seen other employment agencies who are much more professional, efficient, and know how to treat people. 1. In 2 weeks, they kept asking me for a resume 3 times and what kind of jobs I wanted. Three times in 2 weeks. It was from two different people. 2. I saw a job online and asked about it. Its a job I have done before and supervised others in. After giving me the job description she goes, "Its not very a glamorous job." What is that even supposed to mean? I was taken back by the condescending attitude! Im work to pay the bills NOT waste time looking cute behind the reception desk. I lost it and firmly said, "I dont know about you, but that is no where in my mind when Im looking for a job." 3. I received a call about a job mid-day asking if I can accept. I asked if I can call back in 2 minutes? She then just snapped at me in a rude, condescending tone and said she needs to know right away if I can accept it. I re-iterated that itd be only 2 minutes. She then said, "Ok." I am a single mother and needed to know if my mother can watch my child for the day. I also ride the public transit and needed to know how long it takes. I didnt want to tell her this. I called her back and accepted the job. I finally got a full time salaried position out of state through a network of old college mates. Avoid Express Employment and look elsewhere.

Working for this place is like working for Tony Soprano. For those that havent seen the show, they love you while you bring them money, if you get laid off you better watch your back cause there coming after you. Except in this show Tony is played by Kim. While you work for them they "love you", cause they pay u crap and you get no benefits. However if you get laid off and go on unemployment they will do whatever crappy thing they can to get you off. They will offer you a job that is so horrible that they hope you quit or get fired from it so that way you dont cost them extra when it comes to unemployment rates. If you turn them down they will report you to the unemployment agency so fast ur head will spin, your unemployment will get rejected and then you sit on your butt with no $ coming it and stress level through the roof. If you have any other options, such as McDonalds like the person said previously go there. At least you get some benefits. These people pray on you the worker in this horrible economy.

I came in and did all of my testing, filled out all of my paperwork, and was given a job offer to send my resume to pretty quickly. I sent it and that job decided not to set up an interview. I was given the info for another position, working for an eBay seller. The position sounded more than a little unreliable and frankly, down right sketchy. I said that respectfully I would like to pass on this one and keep looking. Havent had a single offer since. What I did get was a voicemail describing all the positions that had become available recently (this about a month later) and I call back right away. They had no idea what I was talking about, didnt give me any information about any job, rushed me off the phone with a "we will call you if anything comes up" and that was the last Ive ever heard from them. This company is not professional. Dont waste your time.

Wow... my experience is parallel. Place looks cut rate inside and out, and treats you like a resource to be exploited. I was called on the phone about a particular job, asked to come in and interview for it, then was asked a bunch of canned questions that had nothing to do with any particular job, and at the end of that, told I didnt qualify for any of their positions. This is with many years of experience and two degrees. I felt like my time and gas was wasted, and that they only wanted to "interview" me to put me in the system like a statistic. On top of that, this same place did the same thing to me 2 years ago, yet had no record of me ever interviewing before. I didnt realize it was the same place till I got there because they have changed their name.
