We bought an old house in Bethlehem that needed an entire renovation which included new electrical work, plumbing, windows, kitchen, and bathrooms. I interviewed three remodeling contractors, including Sobrinski Painting. Pat came to the house to provide an estimate. He was the most knowledgeable and thorough of the three. He followed up the onsite estimating process with additional questions and good suggestions. His price was very competitive and we selected him. I felt he was genuinely interested in doing the work and helping us make this project a success. His team showed up on Day One ready for demo. Kitchen, Bathroom, Powder room gutted. Drop ceiling gone. Layers of wallpaper in every room, even closets, painstakingly removed. We also added an additional upstairs bathroom that was previously an enclosed porch off an existing bedroom. This additional bathroom required removing two windows and adding cedar shakes to match the exterior of the house. We also added a huge closet in the master bedroom. (Old homes do not have much closet space.) We replaced all the old linoleum floors in the kitchen and bathrooms with ceramic tile. We resurfaced an old brick fireplace with ceramic tile and a damaged foyer floor with ceramic tile. The final step in the project was removing the existing wall-to-wall carpeting throughout the house and resurfacing the existing hardwood floors. Every day the house was full of workers. We had a very tight deadline that would allow us to move into the house two weeks before Christmas. They finished on time and on budget. We are extremely pleased with the quality of the materials, workmanship, and the professionalism of everyone involved in this project, including his office support staff and designers. Our family and friends who visited us over the holidays were amazed at the transformation. It’s about as close as you can get to living in a brand new house with all the character and uniqueness only found in the craftsmanship of a 100 year old home. I would highly recommend Sobrinski Painting for any painting or remodeling project.

The interior of my house was pained by Sobrinski a few years ago. The sales person was very charming. In addition, to the painting I had new tie flooring installed in my bathroom and the bathroom tub and tile were glazed. A separate contractor installed the flooring. I am very pleased with the contractor who completed the flooring work. The paint used by Sobrinski appears to be cheap. I noticed this early after the project was finished. The paint peels like plastic.(not feels but peels) I have had my bathroom repainted by a handyman because the ceiling began to have bubble marks that collected water and the water began to drip from he ceiling whenever the shower was used. I wondered if I had been charged for a decent brand of paint but had my house painted with cheap "apartment paint". I have had no such issue since paying a handyman to paint my bathroom correctly. Its been more than a year. I did have a Sobrinski representative come out look at the paint job prior to hiring a handyman. I even showed him the paint that was used. He made no comment. I did not hear back from the representative. The glaze when initially completed looked wonderful. About six months after the glaze the base of the tub began to peel. I contacted Sobrinski. The representative was shocked at what he saw. Sobrinski had someone come to redo the glaze. The peeling reoccurred. I paid a specialized glaze installer who guarantees the work for 7 years. I know nothing about paint or glaze but I do know quality. I thought about this for a long time before writing the review but each time that I look at the paint job, I feel that Sobrinski got over. I feel that I was charged a premium price but received an inferior product. Maybe Sobrinski thought I would not notice. I dont know. I have had come out of my pocket to correct their inadequacies.

We had about 2/3 of our house repainted, including two two-story open areas that required inside ladder work. Sobrinskis quote was the highest of the four we obtained, but they negotiated to a number we felt comfortable with. They did a very good job tarping the floor and furniture, spackling the wall imperfections, etc. After the job was complete, we did notice some missed nail pops and paint edges, and they promptly sent a crew back to fix them. It was a pretty effortless experience. The painters themselves were professional and courteous. The only thing keeping me from a five star review is the slightly higher price and the need for follow-up touch-up work, but we definitely feel we got our moneys worth. Its been a few months, and weve had absolutely no issues with durability, etc., even in the bathrooms.

I have worked with Sobrinski at least two times. Im not one to blow smoke up a companys bottom, but they were beyond excellent each time. Jason, who over saw each project is a good guy as is the owner. I dont own a house in Bethlehem anymore, but if I could use them again up here in Stockbridge MA.

Great local contractor that does more than just painting. All workers are loyal employees that have been with the company 10- 15 years on average. Very workable on budget and have experience with nearly every type of residential and commercial construction project.

I needed a couple of rooms painted for the holiday season and Sobrinski was able to do it the very next week right before Christmas. It turned out great and was pleased with the quick turn around. End result looks great!

I had Sobrinski Painting power wash my home. They were able to remove the mildew that always builds up on the north side of my home. I would use their service again in the future.
