Let me begin that the reason this salon is getting 2 stars is because we were promptly greeted by the receptionist/stylist and Skips friendly conversation with my daughter as he rinsed her hair. I gave my daughter this Groupon for full highlights, haircut, blow dry and style. Although I am hesitant on Gropun deals, my research on this salon led to about 13 reviews which were mainly positive; most of these reviews had Skip as their stylist. The stylist invited me back to her chair to discuss what we wanted for her hair today. I gave clear directions on the shade of the highlights, the style of the cut as well as how much hair to cut. She appeared to understand our needs and began the process of our requests. 3 hrs later I noticed that she was finalizing the style with hairspray. It did not appear to me that my daughters hair was cut as we had discussed. I then approached her and asked her if she had layered my daughters hair. She said she did not realize my daughter wanted layers in her hair; yet we did discuss this fully prior to her cutting her hair. Additionally, she stated that we would be charged an extra fee because of my daughters hair length and texture(she has curly hair). I stated that the Groupon does not indicate a surcharge for longer hair. She proceeded to strongly stand her ground and said the fine print stated it. I again told her that I had read it several times and nothing was mentioned about surcharges. She said "Well, that is the procedure for all Groupon customers and that you need to be in contact with Groupon". I said I would but that it was certainly the salons responsibility to alert Groupon of surcharges so the customer does not blindly walk into this situation. I showed her the Groupon so she could point this surcharge out in the fine print and she could not locate it. Yet, she stated that I had a package that did not include straightening my daughters hair. I said I had a blow dry and style as part of the package...to blow dry with a round brush does straighten the hair! The owner, I believe, Skip, came over to us to determine what the loud discussion was about. He agreed that was their procedure and I said that he should have informed Groupon of this. This business was rude in their interaction with my daughter and myself; My daughter sat with her foils in her hair for 1.5 hrs while the stylist completely cut, styled and blew dry another customers hair. When she was ready to cut the length of her hair she asked my daughter how much she wanted off( although we had initially discussed this with her) My daughter responded " Maybe 3 inches, do you know how much my curly hair will shrink"? The stylists response was unbelievable: "I dont know, its your hair" By the way, to make matters worse, the stylist said that she informed my daughter(the only conversation she had with her the entire THREE HOURS) of the surcharge and that my daughter said it was ok. I explained to them that she is a minor and that discussion should have been with me, the paying parent. I was charged $20 for blow drying her longer than normal hair; they should have mentioned that on the Groupon!! This was very deceitful on their part. Obviously, they have done it MANY times to other Groupon customers. Thoiught this might help other unaware Groupon customers. There appeared to be many happy elderly customers patronizing this establishment. Yet, I certainly will not be coming back. The stylists poor attitude left a bad taste.

This was my first time receiving a cut from Skip, who was recommended to me by my fiancé. I had heard Skip was a skilled stylist who would do my hair justice. My needs were to cut off all the dead hair and have a manageable style. Skip was straight to the point on how to clean up my hair and create a style that was easy to take care of. It turned out to be the shortest hair length I have ever had and it was beautiful. My hair looked richer and more vibrant (probably because there was too much dead hair) and the style has been easy to maintain since the cut. I will be returning to Skip for future hair needs!

Dont go. The salon is dirty and poorly organized. I waited 15 min with a wet head because of the stylists lack of time management (Sophia). I have long hair, and it was cut without a part. No part to the hair, just randomly trimmed. When I requested that the stylist part my hair to check to see if it wasnt lopsided my request was ignored. I ended up with a lopsided cut by over an inch and had to go to another salon to fix Sophias mistake. I should have walked out the minute I saw how incredibly dirty the place was.

Bought a Groupon, got an appointment, got there after driving across town and they refused to honor the Groupon, said only first time ever customers. Even if I was a full pay customer last time about a year ago. Went there totally by accident as I did not recall the name of the salon. Sorry lady no cut UNLESS, you pay the full price. SOrry ,too many other salons available to put up with BULLSHIT. Thanks but NO thanks.

I got highlights and a haircut. The highlights were so poorly blended, I had friends ask me where I got my hair done so that they would know not to go there. Also, about a one inch section of my hair was not cut - just left longer than the rest. Just FYI the owner is a Trump supporter. He and my hairdresser both discussed politics during my appointment. It was the opposite of relaxing.

I havent gone to a salon in years and decided for a change in style. Went to Skip with little idea of what I wanted and he did an amazing job finding a style for my facial structure. He also wanted to be sure that the daily maintenance would fit my lifestyle (i.e. be relatively low maintenance). Im very happy with the results and will definitely be back.

Its been almost 3 weeks since Sophie worked her magic. And, I am still in love with the cut and color. She found a shade that was richer and cut my hair to give it lift and swing. As promised, I can air or blow dry with minimal effort. Sophie knows her stuff and is just fun. Sophie, Ill see you in a couple of weeks!

Purchased a groupon for my girlfriend. She said that the place was absolutely not a spa as there were used rags everywhere and the place was generally cluttered. The women who cut her hair was indifferent towards her and then charged her extra for thick hair. 1 of 5 stars | Will not return

Had a cut and color with Marissa , turned out perfect even though I had never been there before she matched my color perfectly and blended enough so I wouldnt need to come back for several weeks as I was just about to deliver my baby. Cut was perfect, definitely ask for Marissa.

Worst salon experience ever!! Skip was not in that day, so I cannot judge his work. I did however, get my hair done with another stylist. Im going to another salon to have my hair done correctly and will never go back to that salon again. I would use the term "spa" very loosely.
