Very disappointed on my recent visit to Franklyn Studio. I contacted over 50 salons to inquire if they carried a specific PPD free product due to a severe PPD allergy and was thrilled when Franklyn Studio emailed me back to to say they carried the product and specifically mentioned to me how well this product worked on gray coverage.(another reason for seeking out a salon that used Goldwell Elumen) I drove over 100 miles to the salon only to find out they could not use this product on my hair because I had used henna on my hair two weeks prior and I was informed at that time that the product had zero gray coverage? Really? I not only emailed the Salon but called and spoke with the receptionist who although she was very nice never bothered to find out any specifics from me. I was told by the stylist that I should have been set up for a "consult" appointment first before attempting to use this PPD free product on my hair. I was and still am hugely disappointment on how the situation was handled. I merely received an "Im sorry" and the good news that I could still get a haircut. How exciting... I got to drive a 100 miles for a hair cut. Needless to say I will never return to Franklyn Studio nor would I recommend them to anyone.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCES (yes, plural). Where to start? Visit 1: stylist completely over processed my hair, left the bleach on too long, tried to fix with toner but to no avail. Took 5 hours. Visit 2: showed a picture with specific colors, technique. Stylist completely missed the mark, gave me 2000s era highlights instead of balayage as I had requested. Came in to get the streaks fixed and ended up getting told that I was WRONG for saying my hair did NOT match the picture. Stylist got a buddy of his to come bully me further and offset the score of 2 to 1, me losing. His buddy agreed with him of course, basically trying to make me seem crazy. Ended up getting so frustrated I just said, "COVER IT UP WITH MY NATURAL COLOR" and even THAT was not a simple task. Dude completely missed the mark with dying my hair "natural" and made it jet black, which it is NOT. So after paying an EXORBITANT amount for my "services" - maybe I got charged extra for the bullying services? - I ended up purchasing box color and doing my own damn balayage. I did it better. WILL NEVER EVER RETURN AND AM TELLING PEOPLE I KNOW TO NEVER GO THERE. Dont ever argue and embarrass the customer. RUDE.

Ive been going to Franklyn Studios every six weeks for over six months now and Im quite happy with my hair cut, color and the quality of service I recieve, Yes it is pricey but no more so then any other nice salon. The reception staff is always courteouos quick to greet me when I arrive and help me schedule my next appt when I leave. The waiting area has coffee, water, and a selection of sodas in a small fridge, I went from medium brown to medium/light red in stages and Im happy with the color and progression of lightness. By going in stages my stylist made sure that the color was never too extreme. My one complaint is that when I first went I asked for blonde highlights. The end result was hardly noticeable and though the stylist apologized she didnt offer to fix it for free which I would have appreciated. In her defense though it was her first time working with my hair and I didnt bring in a picture to demonstrate how light I wanted the highlights to be. Despite that Ive continued to go back and have always been happy with the color changes.

For years I have been searching for a professional and relaxing studio to get my hair done. I am excited to say that I finally found such a place: Franklyn Studio! I took a friend of mine and we both had our hair cut and styled and loved our experience so much we will definitely be back! The atmosphere was relaxing, the stylists professional (Ashley was so wonderful!), and while some people might think $44 is too much to pay for a haircut, at Franklyn Studio it is well worth it! If you want to look good and are looking for a low maintenance style, make an appointment!

Im always pleased with how easy it is to communicate with my stylist (Joni). We all know what its like to ask for one thing and get something completely different. Joni knows what shes doing and listens well. The cuts are always a pleasant surprise. The atmosphere at Franklyn is very professional and courteous. I love the waiting area and tea and coffee area. Clean and relaxing.

I have been traveling on a monthly basis back to the mid-West to my old hair stylist/colorist after I moved to the area last Jan. I finally broke down and made an appointment with a local salon. Kierstan gave me an outstanding color and cut as good as, if not better, than many of the other major cities Ive lived in. Their prices were competitive for a top salon as well.

Joni is by far the best hair stylist I have ever had. I am horrible to my hair and get it cut once a year. Every time I go back to her she remembers me. That is a nice touch. As for my hair...it always is EXACTLY what I ask for. I think pricing is fair for the attention I get and the cut I recieve. It isnt a salon chain in the mall!
