One of the best fitness clubs in the area! Lots of space, equipment, and convenience of facilities like steam/sauna, showers, and lockers. I have had the pleasure of working with their personal trainer, Mike (which is how I got introduced to this club) for my fitness goals. It has been an awesome experience thus far! I have tried personal training sessions before with other gyms and they were so-so. Mike definitely takes it to the next level! Other than the personal training, I do enjoy the freedom of having a great selection of equipment for targeting different kinds of goals - something hard to find in smaller sized clubs. So, I definitely recommend this gym! Some of the negative reviews are 6-7 years old. The people (customers) there are mostly minding their own business, like at any other gym, so Im not sure what the complaint (re: meatheads) was about. If you are arriving for the first time, be prepared to be 5 minutes early as it can be a little challenging to find the gym (its in the rear) - thankfully there are multiple arrows to guide you with their logo. Keep up the great work, folks!

Just wanted to review this Gym as ive been going here for close to 3 years now and wanted to at least post my experience with a few of the other terrible experiences listed here. The gym is nice and spacious, which was my most important factor; there are not many areas where you feel crowded or that there are too many people around even when busy. The treadmills on a weekday can be tough at times, but there are always other cadio equipment available in that situation otherwise the wait can be about 10 - 15 minutes. Some of the equipment is showing some age such as the hanging dip machine (wear from elbows). Pricing is reasonable; im not sure how everyone else pays but the staff has never charged me for what I didnt authorize and usually will check with me regularly leading up to the end of the yearly sub fee. Of the other gyms in the area, this gym seems to attract a more casual work out people and not the hardcore meat heads so I find it to have a lot more laid back people.

Ive been going to this gym for about 4 yrs. It was very nice. When it was new. Since then they havent bought any equipment or fixed the old equipment. The handle on the elliptical literally fell off when I was working out and I pulled my shoulder out. This was 4 months ago. The handle is still missing on the machine and there is a note suggesting its in the works of being fixed. There are always about 5 cardio machines broken each visit which is now a big deal because the membership rate has gone up but theres less equipment to use. I dont know about you but after working 10 hour days...I dont have another half hour to kill waiting for someone to get done their workout so I can start mine. Overall, I would find another gym. The equipment is becoming outdated and the personal trainers are creepy, constantly hitting on women. Not worth the money, not to mention theyve double charged my credit card several times now which has been a giant pain in the rear to have corrected.

This guy runs a ma and pa business and plays dirty with peoples money! When I closed a credit card account, I told Tony Id give him a check for my last three months of my membership, which I did. For six additional months, he took the routing number off of that check and continued to deduct from my checking account WITHOUT MY AUTHORIZATION OR RESIGNING. Noone ever called me to renew, or asked for authorization for deducting from my account. Im taking it to the police -- this is stealing. On another note, I was unhappy with the gym for several reasons, not least of which that he turned down the sauna temps so you didnt even break a sweat if you were in there for an hour -- to save money. He plays dirty, I hear through the grapevine the place is struggling, dont trust the situation or him.

the owner definitely dips his hand in your pocket on your way out the door. if youre thinking of signing up for a year, make sure you read the contract carefully; i should have declined to pay a higher monthly rate after the initial 12 months and changed the 60 days notice provision to be valid 60 days *prior* to my 1 year anniversary. (or better yet, should have gone to superfit in the first place). if youre happy with the gym, great. but do yourself a favor and re-read your contract now so when youre ready to end your membership you know whats coming.

I have no idea what the bad reviews are talking about - maybe someone with a grudge? We used to below to a health club in Mt Airy - This place is HALF the price - yes half - and is far less crowded - Ive never had a hard time getting a machine. Ive always felt that my business is appreciated. I have never seen anyone smoking outside btw. If the main lot is filled, there is an overflow lot which always has parking and is only a short walk away. We love this place!

This gym is great. Good hours, great staff and good equipment. The staff really puts it over the competition. THey know you by name when you walk in, help you, encourage you. It feels like a family! They have lots of classes and many different types. Their 30 minute ab class twice a week is awesome! THey also cater to their patrons. I kept asking about more Yoga classes and they worked on it and got it going! THis is a great gym!

Lots of equipment and rags to wipe down the machines. But it gets crowded quickly, smells bad, has poor ventilation, and is full of meat heads. Walking there is a bit dangerous because cars come flying around the blind turns, and there is no sidewalk going up the hill.

Ive been a member here for over a year, and its been great. The staff let me store my bike while I work out, know me by name, and are friendly. The place is clean and spacious, and affordable. Im happy to support a local business and recommend CHFC to anyone.

It is SO hard to find a parking spot at this gym! I guess its b/c its right next to a business, where people work, but I got frustrated, I left, never even going in! Not worth the frustration for me.
