*MY HUSBAND JEFF IS A THRU-HIKER ON THE A.T.* Jeff arrived at his hotel (Duke) in DunCannon, PA. and stopped by the front desk to retrieve his mail drop. He was told that is came to them COD (collect on delivery) because additional postage was due, and the Hotel staff rejected it because of policy, but asked the P.O. there to hold it for Jeff. The clerk said she called the Postmaster to request that they hold it for Jeff and that Postmaster said she would not hold it. Jeff sent me a message and asked why postage would be due, to which I told him that I had paid it when it was mailed. No big issue, we owed an additional $14.95. I immediately called the P.O. and spoke with the Postmaster while Jeff started sprinting to the P.O. on foot, which was not a short distance... I asked that Postmaster, Pat Keller, to please hold it; the drop sustains him while he is hiking and she said it was not her problem. I asked if I could pay over the phone and she said that was not possible. I paid the postage when it was mailed, but the P.O. here undercharged me...Why? Why would that P.O. not accomodate us? So as I was telling the Postmaster how unacceptable this was, I heard Jeffs voice in the background and I said is my husband at your window? She said yes, he made it just in time and then hung the phone up. Mean people suck

I brought in my wedding invitations to buy the stamps for them. The employee working told me what size stamp I needed and sold me 30 of the $0.78 stamps. She then instructed me the other 60 of these plus the 90 white rose $0.49 stamps I needed were in the safe, and she left a note for her manager to get them for us on Monday. That Monday, my fiance went in to purchase these stamps and they apparently dont carry the white rose stamps after all, so they sent him to another post office. Now, two weeks later, we recieved our invitations back in the mail saying we owe $0.27 more postage on each envelope. This post office the one who told me that what size postage I needed, and they are the same office that sent them back to use to charge us more! They wasted my time and money because their employees dont know how to do their jobs.

I had a phone to return to Verizon Wireless and normally when I go to the post office the clerk will throw a piece of packing tape on the box to secure it. In this instance, I went to the Duncannon office and was told by the clerk that the postmaster had taken all of her tape away because it was taking away from the profit of the postal service. I was told that she wanted us to buy the rolls of packing tape that were for sale. From now on, I will ship my packages from the other post offices in the county.

Stopped in to pick up the mail for my office and to mail a small box. Waited in line behind another couple for about 10 minutes, then was turned away by the hag working behind the desk that it was past her lunch break time and that I would have to come back! It was 11:02 and I had been waiting since long before 11! TERRIBLE customer service and a terrible representation of the USPS!!!

This post master is a horrible, miserable old lady. Her type of negative, ignorant attitude really brings down the morale in that place, and I pity her staff. She needs to be fired. I miss when the Delancys were in there. Things were so nice, organized and efficient. Also I am sick of our RD carrier driving through my yard, rutting it.

I live in Duncannon and love the fact the people here are friendly and welcoming. I have witnessed the post mistress SEVERAL times be VERY RUDE to customers. I have also heard her SCREAM at the staff. This woman is not only a poor representation of our town but is also an embarrasment to our community!
