We used MEI Catering for a birthday party and everyone raved about the food and service!! We had been at other events where MEI was the caterer and always thought the food was great, so we gave them a call for the party. Chef Nick was a pleasure to deal with had some great suggestions on how to make the party go off without a hitch. Our typical birthday party for our boys consists of my wife going to Costco and buying burgers, chicken, hot dogs, sides, soda, and a cake. Then I would spend the day grilling everything, which I never minded because that was how we always did birthday parties! Wow, have I missed the boat! We decided on hot roast beef sandwiches, meatballs and chicken fingers for the kids. The roast beef was so thinly sliced and fresh, meatballs were amazing and all the kids (and some adults) loved the chicken fingers. They also brought the cake personalized and everything else needed for the party like paper plates, utensils, condiments, rolls, etc. They really thought of everything! They saved us the emergency 3 trips to ACME the day of the party when we realized we forgot something. Chef Nick also suggested that we have a server at the party, which I honestly thought was unnecessary, but turned out to be the "best decision" I ever made according to my wife. Christine showed up at 2:30 for a 4PM party and had everything set-up and ready to go when our family and friends arrived. She was a joy to be around and pulled everything off without a single hiccup. She even reorganized our fridge, which hadnt been done in a while. All in all, I got to talk to my family and friends and not worry about a thing because MEI really thought of everything and went way above and beyond my expectations. It was really enjoyable to get to catch up with all of our friends and family over a few cold beers as opposed to grilling all day and running around like a maniac.

I used MEI caterers/Twinning Hall back in October 2014 for my wedding venue and two years later (and being to other weddings), I still stand by my choice. My husband and I learned this summer that we are pregnant and so began the baby shower venue/catering search. We wanted to stay close to home this time but we knew that MEI would be our caterer. Our shower was this past weekend and years later Nick and his staff did not disappoint. The food is amazing. Throughout the afternoon guests were complimenting the food. I have to say I wasnt surprised that the food was good though because I remembered the food from the wedding. What made me most happy though was the EASE of having an "off-venue" event. I was concerned that I would forget table covers and I forgot about coffee (which many people like after some cake) and here it was all included. I have to mention though the women that served my guests were the nicest. I wish I was better with names because they did introduce themselves but truly they were excellent. I have a small family and some friends that did come early to help me set up the venue but the women asked if they could help us - they filled mason jars with water for the flowers, checked in with me numerous times about helping with anything else, they even helped clean up. I dont know if thats apart of what Nick expects from his employees but I felt like they went above and beyond for me and genuinely wanted to help. Thank you Nick and MEI staff, Im so happy that you guys are still the best years later!

We held our wedding reception at Twining Hall on 4/8/17 and thanks to Nick and his staff at MEI Catering, it was a perfect evening. The hall was decorated beautifully and the items we added (favors, centerpieces, decor for the gift table, etc.) were placed exactly as we wanted. When I realized Id forgotten a topper for our cake, he was prepared! The staff was friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived and throughout the night. The food was absolutely delicious! The carved beef was our favorite. We had many out of town guests travel for our reception and everyone raved about the food, the service, and the location. I met with Nick in July, 2016 to book the hall and throughout the months leading up to the event, he was a call or email away. My husband and I no longer live in the Philadelphia area, so this was extremely helpful as we were planning this event long distance. Through meeting with Nick and through the information provided on his website, we were also able to secure our DJ and photographer, both of whom also did an amazing job. Even though I currently live in Virginia, I do have many friends and family who still live in PA and will definitely recommend Nick and his services for future events!

Hello everyone, We are Mr. and Mrs. Smiley and we just had to post a comment about our wonderful experience with this great company and people. First off “Nick” the owner is just the best in every way you can imagine. He worked with us in every aspect you can think of to give us the dream wedding we always hoped for. Getting married is tough and expensive, and when you have over 22 people in your wedding party, the bill add up quick. But no matter what obstacles we ran into, Nick did everything to get us everything we asked for within our budget. At the end the place looked beautiful; everything was on point and on time and the food was amazing. So if you need a hall to host your event, I am telling you that there is NO BETTER place to go and no better people to deal with. We thank you so much for making our day special! From the Smiley’s ;-)

MEI turned out to be a huge disappointment before we even got things started. My fiancee and I confirmed with Nick that our wedding date was available as long as we were finished before 6;00 pm. We agreed and set up a time to meet Nick. Upon meeting Nick to start our wedding plans he informed us that the date was now booked and that we could either change our wedding date or he could offer us a shortened package at a reduced price. This now leaves us with no hall for our wedding, no caterer or cake, no DJ, nothing. MEI, especially Nick has shown us that he is entirely unprofessional, unreliable and completely unethical. It is our opinion that he booked our day for a larger wedding party and one where he didnt have to give a First Responder a courtesy discount. Nick clearly is out to make the most profit he can without regard for whom he hurts.

We have had many events with MEI Catering. The owner and staff were always there to honor all our wishes to make each event so much fun and enjoyable. Even last minute changes were handled with our complete satisfaction in mind. Nick and Celia listen carefully to how we want things to go. We have had many Family Christmas parties, Family First Holy Communion, our daughters Rehearsal party, our sons wedding which was held right in our home. We have had numerous home catering events with Celia being there and/or Nick. It is a forgone conclusion that when things need to be catered, who is calling Nick or Celia first. To say they are considered part of our family, is an understatement. You cant go wrong using MEI Catering--your event will be a true winner. Fran & Barbara and the whole gang
