This review is for Laura. For the last 17 years, I had the same hairdresser. I recently moved 121 miles from her, so I had to find someone as good as her and someone I liked. I thought this would be impossible because she is an excellent hair dresser, personable, and has worked at some of the best hair salons in Maryland before opening her own salon, but I was wrong. (Of course, no one will ever be able to totally replace her, but I’ve found someone pretty close.) After researching the Internet and reading the reviews of hair salons near me, I decided to try Designers Edge. In addition to the great products and services they offer at reasonable prices, I like the fact that it is a small and friendly salon with hair stylists that continue to update their technical knowledge and stay current with the latest trends. Being heavily involved with animal charities, I was also impressed with the owner and hair stylist, Laura Majeczky, who is an animal lover like myself. How many hair salons offer you the opportunity to have your hair styled while holding a cat or petting a dog? My former hairdresser understood me well and knew my likes and dislikes. I had gotten used to that, and I feared I would not be able to communicate it well to someone new. To help me describe the style I was interested in, I brought in pictures to show Laura, and I verbally modified them to fit my needs. Laura is very friendly, patient, talented, and great at paying attention to details. She truly listens to what you say and is able to cut and color your hair the way you want it. I am extremely happy I found Laura and Designers Edge. I highly recommend this salon for a great hairdressing experience. Visit their website or make an appointment. You will not be disappointed.

My experience here tonight was incredible! I cannot express how happy I am with my haircut by Kim. Layered perfectly and it felt so amazing when she washed my hair. I have never had a stylist out as much care and time into washing my hair as she did. She listened to my needs and was super nice. And I love that there is a cat and dog in the salon. I am an animal lover so I was very happy to be greeted by the owners dog! I will definitely be going back and recommend to anyone looking for a new salon!!!

I went to get my nails done. The staff were friendly but the end result didnt last. I got gel polish done on my natural nails and was told that it would last about 2 weeks and wouldnt chip during that time. The next day I ended up with two of the gel polished nails chipped and completely peeling off! And also another two nails chipped. This was simply after taking a shower. No reason for it at all. For the price I paid I was very upset and disappointed..!

Laura is a great people person. She always manages to make you feel comfortable and relaxed. She takes good care of you from start to finish. I always leave happy with my new look and receive lots of compliments from friends and family. I cant imagine going to any one else! Call Designers Edge and make an appointment.
