We have had a wonderful experience at Whales, Snails and Puppy Dog Tails. We enrolled our son last year (2013) and he was a new student to the area. We started him in the full time summer program, which not only is jammed packed with awesome activities at no additional cost aside from the normal weekly tuition, but it gave him a chance to make new friends BEFORE school started. Our son was so shy and we are convinced Whales really brought him out of his shell. Every night before bed he runs to the calendar to see where the next days field trip is and always "reported" back when we pick him up how awesome it was. He loves it there!! The staff is wonderful, reporting on good and bad days...as a parent, its nice to hear about the good behavior days too! During the school year, he is enrolled in the before and after school programs. With two working parents, its hard to meet the bus schedules so we are just delighted that Whales provides transportations to the area elementary schools. Bill and Judy provide great care for our son. They are very open with parents, and are just down to earth people. They dont sugar coat things, always keep the parents informed of whats going on at the centers, always do fun things for the kids and for the community (examples: pumpkin decorating contest, food drives for local centers in needs, etc). I simply cannot say enough wonderful things about Whales!

Im so happy with my decision to send my little guy to this daycare! I was a new mom sending my 5 month old baby to daycare. I was so nervous, but I was quickly reassured that my son was in good hands. Miss Olga is absolutely wonderful with the babies and my son loves her. In fact, all the ladies who work at the daycare are so personable and you can tell from the way they interact with the kids that they truly love working there. I also like the open layout of the daycare (makes me feel safe that nobody is hidden behind doors or walls with my child unlike some other daycares). The owners are always available and I see them working at the daycare almost everyday. Since they are so involved in the daycare, they know what truly goes on. This is probably why they have such a great staff. I know of other daycares that the owner shows up just once in a while and this leads to the staff slacking off and talking on their cell phones instead of watching the kids. That kind of behavior would never be tolerated at this daycare. I honestly cant say enough positive things about Whales!

Our son has been at Whales since he was in diapers. Tomorrow he starts middle school, and today was his last day at Whales. Wow. He has been there in many different rooms, from the toddler room to the school agers building next door. He has been in all day care, before and after school care, and the summer program (since he was in kindergarten). Bill and Judy are wonderful people who run an excellent day care center. They bend over backwards for the kids. The staff there is also very friendly, and some of them have been there for longer than Danny has. Bill and Judy run a first rate summer program, and they go on interesting trips with all meals included. Places such as the Renaissance Faire, the Amazing Maize Maze, and Gettysburg. Also, Bill and Judy do lots of charitable things for the community. They delivered fresh baked cookies to the cast and crew of Seussical the Musical at Red Land High School, and they took out two ads in the program for that musical. They are very giving people, and I am very glad that our son went there. I will miss walking in there every day.

This is a wonderful daycare center. My child has been there a little over a year now and loves going to play and learn with her friends. I was very afraid at first to send her to "daycare", but now have no fears:). The owners and staff there are very friendly and helpful with any questions or concerns I have had. They have many different activities for the kids which is wonderful, it helps me to know that she is having a fun time learning and playing while I am at work. The center is always very clean and offers an excellent menu, I wish I could eat breakfast and lunch there! I wish that I did not have to work, but in the meantime while I do, I am so grateful to have found such a wonderful place to send my child too. It is a great feeling picking her up so happy and telling us what a great day she had. I would recommend Whales Snails and Puppy Dog Tails to anyone that wants to have the comfort of knowing your child is in caring, loving hands while you are at work!

My child attended this daycare for a total of 18 months. There were a series of events that gave me concern culminating with the following: 1) making my child go through the trash at a public bowling alley because another child accused him of throwing his bowling shoes away. He hadn’t. When I asked the co-owner (Judy Whale) about it, her response was “it’s not like he was punished for it”, and 2) children (6 yrs of age and younger) playing games on tablets that are not age appropriate (rated T). The co-owner Bill Whale’s response “I’m not going to sanitize my program for 1 child”. That’s their level of care for your child. I complained about these events (and others) on a Tuesday. On Wednesday we were informed that we would have to find a new daycare by Monday. Bill Whale loves to toot his horn about the videos he makes of the children and gives to the families. The one he provided to us in Dec. 2016 included a song with the F word and the N word…

Both my children (5 & 2) attend the center and they love it! They always have a great craft to bring home, the field trips are entertaining and diverse, and the staff is very friendly. What I love the most is how much Bill and Judy do for my children. Trick or treat at the center, Easter egg hunts, gigantic cookies made by Bill! As a nurse who works varying shifts I needed a daycare as versatile as my schedule is hectic, and Whales has always been able to accommodate! Great place to take your children!

I enrolled my 4 year old for preschool this year and she loves it! I was only enrolling her to get used to group interactions and instructions coming from a teacher and I wasnt expecting her to learn anything new. She has learned and grown so much! Im entertained each day as she proudly shows me what they did. I also like that during the fun events they take photos and send them home. I will be confidently sending my other kids to Whales, Snails and Puppy Dog Tails when they are ready for preschool.

We love Whales Snails and Puppy Dog Tails. Mr. Bill and Ms. Judy take excellent care of my two little ones. My six year old daughter cant seem to help herself from running to Ms. Judy in the Am when she sees her. She loves going to daycare and my 5 year old autistic son asks to go even when we have the day off. I couldnt be happier with the level of care my kids recieve! So thankful to find a place where I feel confident leaving my little ones when I cant be with them!!
