They cared about our vision for our house. We called them because of the hail damage to our house. We needed a new roof, new window capping, new gutters, and some of the siding replaced. Now, when David Shaw, the 4th generation owner, came over, my wife and I were expecting the standard pitch of "Heres what we can do for you; here are the shingle samples; here are the gutter samples, blah blah blah". But that is not what he did. David sat down with us and simply asked us a question, something like "What do you envision your house to look like in 5 to 10 years? What is your dream renovation?" After 30 minutes discussing our ideas for our house, he then had a better idea (as did we) of the colors and styles of shingles, gutters, siding, and capping. So, instead of us just wanting to get stuff replaced, keeping with the current general look of the house, we ended up choosing styles that match our vision of how our house WILL look in the near future. What a difference! We picked a darker shingle and lighter siding for a bold contrast. And their service? They have a site lead contractor for each job, so even though a lot of their specialty workers come and go (roofing specialists, siding specialists, gutter specialists, etc.), a single site lead is always there so yuo can become familiar with that one person and build a rapport, which is a nice touch of professionalism and customer support. Joe was our site lead, and we would see him on a ladder working hard at 8am in 6 degree weather. The whole team is truly committed to excellence. Top Notch truly cared about our needs now and in the future. They did not ask about our future needs in order to squeeze more work out of us. They stuck to the insurance estimate word for word. We truly feel we worked together to determine the best look for our house. We are very impressed - so much so that no other contractor will ever set foot in our house ever again. Top Notch for everything else - our soon to be built deck, interior rooms, and so on. We cant wait to see what else Top Notch can do!

Ok where to start. Day one.... I called and spoke to a very pleasant woman on the phone and she took my message. Day 2 waited out the day for a call back Day 3 finally spoke to the road guy and made an appt. for that Fri. Thurs day he canceled and rearranged it for Mon.. Never did he ask if the roof leak was being managed. Then that Mon I waited til 3:00 pm and didnt hear from him. I called and the polite receptionist apologized for the miscommunication. She told me that the road guy (not mentioning names here) was in Nj. Well great another missed appt. So low and behold, a person in charge called me back. However, he was from the commercial end of the business. He didnt even carry a ladder. No ladder equals no help. So I offered him a ladder and he said I do commercial. Ok then why are u here then? He stated that he will have someone come tomorrow morning to video tape the roof. I didnt hear anyone on the roof and I was home all day and mostly outside doing yard work. There is no way they came that am. The kick in the face... So I am waiting to hear back from someone for a few days. Finally , I decided to call them. I left a message. I heard back from the receptionist that there was an estimate sent to my email. Awesome... No contact from anyone other than a receptionist. I opened up the estimate. No sign of what they thought was wrong. No asking me what the symptoms were.. No contact except with the estimate. So my experience was this. Needless to say I will not use this service. If your customer service sucks at this level, I could imagine getting any warranty work done. Sheez call your customers and talk with them is buisness 101. Ok I am going to add two stars because someone called me after I emailed them. He was very knowledgable and explained what he seen on the roof. He also apologized for the mishap. I am a little more pleased about the situation. Thx for at least calling me back.

Called in mid April and estimator came for the estimate April 28th Its a full roof replacement and capping and he seemed to know what he was talking about. I really wanted them to do the job. After 2 weeks I called for follow up and left a message, no response a week later I spoke with someone who said Dave had my estimate and would call me right back. We are at June 21st and no call. I wanted to use a Havertown business but these guys who either dont want my business or cant do this job wont get it.

I would have given this company 5 stars because they did a great job but I entered into a contract and paid hundreds of extra dollars to have my roof coated by them thus extending my warranty 2 more years as long as they coated the roof in 60-90 days after roof was competed, after many phone conversations I have never heard from anyone in which leads me to worry about their so called warranty. Was in need of a roofer March 2011 After calling 4 different local roofers and noone calling us back or coming out we were happy to have found Top Notch. They promptly returned our call and very courteous. They came out the same day to help with our leaking roof! I will update this review after the work is completed. SO far we are happy with how quickly they respond.

Went and got quotes for a new roof for my garage, Top Notch came in at about 15% less than the competition, and Im very happy with the results. I feel they went above and beyond in their quality and service, would give 6 stars if I could.

I has a small rpair work on my roof. David responsed quickly. He did a good job.
