Worked here for a month and quit because the management is awful. I was a lifeguard and was getting paid less than what they were telling me. They also made me do things that were not in my job description. The pool manager is an imbecile and lays down on the pool deck while the head lifeguard (who gets paid minimum wage) is checking and managing pool levels for him. The pool was once shut down by the health inspector because he was too lazy to fix it. After this he then made the head lifeguard fix it. My friend who still works there is talking about people filing lawsuits because the place is not paying their people the right amount. Made sense why I worked a crap ton of hours and got almost nothing. And the food at the restaurant is garbage and the staff there are rude. Ive never worked at a place where the staff are so bad at their jobs and the managers are god awful. And the place looks like a run down house. I do not recommend anyone working here at all or getting a membership here. Even if I were a member and the experience Ive had working here, I dont recommend it. The locker room is filthy and old. My high school locker room is nicer than this. And as someone else said, there are bees nests all over the pool deck. Youd think theyd do something. I dont understand why people think the wet whistle is all that great. Its old and smelly and the food is garbage. The outdoor pool is okay but the indoor pool is gross and murky. I wouldnt even swim in the water because the guy (not going to say names) who runs the pool is a lazy manager who makes other people do his job for him. And if you go to this club, you will probably see him sun tanning on the deck during his shift so remember that. I dont know how hes fired. I work at another health facility in newtown and if he worked here, he would be fired in a heart beat. So unprofessional and disrespectful to his staff. Im not even in college and I know that that is a terrible manager who does not deserve to be paid for what he does. This place is probably dropping in sales because of how disgusting and old and outdated it is. I could run this entire club myself and do a ten times better job than the people managing it do already. This place is so bad with their staff that even I have to leave a nasty review. For a place who doesnt treat their staff right and has terrible customer service and does not know how to keep their facilities updated, I would get a membership at the Ymca or la fitness or the NAC (Id rather drive all the way to newtown instead of going to this club). In conclusion, dont waste your money at this run down club because theyre probably going to run out of business anyways.

We joined this club based on reputation and proximately. It seemed to be ideal, combining a swim club and gym. However, the club is completely neglected. The baby pools paint is chipping and is dirty. The stairs leading up to the restaurant area is so rusty my husband describes it as needing a tentus shot just to walk on it. The lounge chairs are filthy, and very old. I have seen cigarette butts littered around the pool, and even had to yank out out of my 2 year olds mouth. I have not been back since both my daughter and I got stung by wasps, as there was a hive under the steps that wasnt cleared. I outlined my concerns and requested a refund starting July 2nd. It is now Aug 12. After several emails, a phone call, and even showing up in person, all I have are excuses the owner is on vacation or his wife is having a baby. That is fine, but it is now 6 weeks later and it is clear, from the very top, that the club is completely neglected and a lack of concern. I want a refund. I want a response. This swim club does not feel safe, there is clearly no oversight, and I do not recommend this to anyone. My friend who recommended this club says it is "changed" from last year and is not renewing her membership either.

I love this place! There are so many wonderful classes. After class I feel like I have just had a personal training session. My favorite class is the pilates fusion. What an amazing workout! The fitness center is never too crowded. My children absolutely love the Friday night kids club. They get to eat dinner with their friends, swim and then play games. My husband loves that he can do cardio and then visit the lower level gym for his weight training. My family can literally spend hours here!

The members and fitness instructors here are excellent. Unfortunately, the management has put no effort into maintaining, nonetheless improving, their services. As a result, fitness equipment is broken, the facility is dirty, and the indoor pool is constantly in disarray. It is unfortunate that the management is unable to perform the basic tasks that would allow this facility to thrive.

What is this club! I can not enjoy anything about it. The pool is dirty just like the managers hairlines. For a family memberships it costs way too much. The worst part is in the gym I cant bounce on my boys wiener. One out of five, time too dive off a cliff.

embarrassing facilities. the entire building leaks when it rains. the roof fell in on the weight room and it was closed for a month. severely decaying to the point of being dangerous.
