If I could give it zero stars I would. It gets one star only because the woman at the front desk was kind. I showed up approximately two weeks ago, eager to learn more and to sign up for a 30 day pass - which the website specifies as "no obligation". When I explained my purpose for being there and mentioned the possibility of signing up through my employees wellness program, I was immediately told by the man at the front desk that Sweat would beat that deal - red flag #1. He suggested we take a tour and I agreed to do so. The tour was fine enough - the space was clean, adequate machines and availability, and the staff member seemed knowledgeable. The bike room was kind of sketchy and a bit too claustrophobic for me, but I am not a biker and did not pay much attention to this detail. The tour ended and we returned to the front desk to talk more. The gentleman began to hand write deals for me on top of a piece of a paper, quite literally making up math in his head and telling me what my contract would look like - red flag #2. I reminded him that I was only there for a 30 day pass to get a feel for the gym and he informed me that the pass was only good if I linked it to one of their contracts - red flag #3. I told the gentleman that I would take the paperwork and talk to my husband about the proposed contract. His response: "Why do you have to talk to him?" - RED FLAG #4. How dare he challenge a customer and put me on the spot like that? I maintained my cool and explained that there are a number of gyms in the area that I could choose and simply wanted to try Sweat out and would want to explore those options with my husband. I still cant believe I dignified him with a response. Finally, the staff member conceded and agreed to sign me up for a one week pass (remember when I came with a printed piece of paper from THEIR website for a 30 day pass?) - red flag #5. He told me he would follow up with me to activate the pass. I said thank you and left. Six days later I received a phone call from a female Had this staff member played his cards right and understood customer service and professional dynamics more adequately, I probably would have signed up on the spot. Because of his horrific handling of a prospective customer, the opposite is happening and I am writing a bad review everywhere I can. SKETCHY SKETCHY SKETCHY.

DO NOT BECOME A MEMBER, SAVE YOURSELF. I would prefer to give Sweat Fitness zero stars, but Google is more charitable than I. The facilities are mediocre at best, but more importantly, they totally screw you over in terms of contract and dont handle their own billing. They will not let you cancel a membership easily - I didnt even have a membership here but had my account charged by Sweat Fitness when Intoxx closed (the owner violated his parole, Im not even joking), and the owner sold all of our information to Sweat. Unfortunately, they didnt really tell us what was going on, and my card was charged several times. I disputed it through my bank when I had no luck with Sweat, and TWO YEARS LATER, I just had a collection agency call me about a $40 balance. Avoid the subpar facilities, untrained workers and horrendous billing policies and dont join.

Ive been a member of Sweat for about two years now. I mostly take the classes offered and occasionally work out by by myself. The classes are included in the membership which is terrific! The class schedules and offerings are dynamic; youll find anything from yoga to HIIT. The instructors are caring, relatable, and push you when you need it the most. Class offerings change each season so theres always a way to switch up your routine. Everytime I walk in, Im addressed with a cheerful greeting by the staff. Check out Sweat Fitness!

Absolutely love this gym! When I first started coming here I was a bit shy, but Ellie and the rest of the staff made sure to go out of their way to introduce themselves and go over workouts with me, and made me feel more comfortable and confident in the process. They are extremely friendly and helpful, and I recommend this gym highly to anyone who has real body goals in mind, because the personal training is on point! The gym is never overloaded and it has a great atmosphere. Sweat is definitely my gym of choice!

This is the worst gym in all of Philadelphia. Ceilings are constantly leaking (severe leaks all over not just a drop here and there), bathroom flooded, and not enough equipment. They also have a ridiculous cancellation policy which makes it almost impossible to get out of the contract without paying $100 plus. Stay clear of this place at all costs. There are plenty of other options that will prove to be much better.

This isnt the nicest gym and its definitely not the fanciest gym, but its a pretty good value and has everything you need to get a good workout in. The staff is pretty cool for the most part, and the clientele is pretty much douchebag free. The one thing that does suck is that they lease part of the space to a chiropractor and the staff and his clients pretty much get in the way during office hours (weekday afternoons).

I belong to this gym and they treat their sub tenants better than their members. They lease part of the gym to a pole dance place and another to a chiropractor. They eliminated some exercise equipment to make room for both, There are no ab machines, for instance. I was there once and the chiropractor asked the gym employees to turn down the music and it wasnt even loud. Some gym.

Sometimes whoever is working at the desk will blast their own music, which is kind of annoying as mostly everyone uses headphones when they work out. Also, the cancellation policy of 60 days notice is not ideal, especially because I was not informed of said cancellation policy when I joined. But the manager waived part of it for me, which was helpful.

Absolutely sick cancellation policy. I am moving out of the state and just cancelled my account. They want me to pay for 60 days of a membership that I cannot possibly use. This is a disgrace and outright theft. I do not recommend joining a gym that isnt all that great to begin with, then screws you on the back end.

Tiny gym that offer decent classes and the equipment to get the job done. Machines do not get repaired or replaced fast enough to be considered acceptable, and the fact that employees would bring in to go food and make the place stink like wings while I exercised, is far from acceptable for a gym.

I have been a member of sweat fitness for years. The gym has everything I need and the price is right. The staff is very friendly and makes you feel at home. If you need anything just ask Joe. This guy is the king of customer service. He knows everyones name...he even knows my dogs name.

Dont join!!! Cancelling your membership is almost impossible. I really dont understand. You would have thought I was trying to get a loan for a million dollars. I legitimately CANNOT cancel my membership, they handle it over the phone for a reason, to avoid getting cold cocked...
