I was hesitant to leave a written review along with my 1-star rating until July 10th, (we moved out on July 1st) when owner Patty Davis called my husband to harass him over a private internal survey they sent us; regarding our maintenance request prior to move out. I only gave praise to the maintenance man, himself, and Pattie called us to threaten us and suggest that she will take more money from our security deposit. We had a multitude of issues with this company. When first viewing the property, Pattie "got lost" and gave us several insane reasons as to why she missed our showing-appointment. Cornerstone properties are beautiful, but terribly uninsulated. The team at Davis Realty put a young family with a 2 year old toddler on the top floor. Our first night up until the day we left, we were harassed via phone calls, texts and emails. We will not be continued to be bullied. I would recommend living in a wet box on the street in the middle of a blizzard on skid-row, then ever rent from Davis Real Estate.

Ok, rent, condition of the apartment, and location were great. However, they are a scam when it comes to the security deposit. $500 to replace the 4 pans on top of the stove, a light bulb, and a missing key (they only gave us three, which all were returned, as well as the two extras we had made for me). When my roommate and I moved in, there were quite a few (but very minor) - i.e. loose molding, dripping sink, sink spraying thing not working, etc) issues that we addressed and were told would be fixed. They came by the apartment once, and this because the water bill had been high because of the dripping faucet! They still did not fix the sink and were difficult to reach for the first few weeks at our apartment (after which we gave up trying). Edit: After contacting the office and arguing about the large charges, my roommate and I received a check to offset our loss to $175. Next time I get to Lock Haven, I will be going to the office to discuss this last bit however.

Very saddened by our treatment did everything on move out paper had carpets professionally cleaned pool professionally closed cleaned everything inside and out including garage and our security deposit was all kept by them down to the penny 1500 plus .33 interest all kept figured out to the penny.What are the chances of that. We maintained the property inside and out cleaned up fallen trees from storms and they charged us 1000 for 3 trees they said were cut down without permission. This never happened however the home owner who lived next door had 2 trees demolish my mother in law and daughter and laws cars because of storms that came through I guess we should have been nasty like them and sued at that time. We would never treat people hoe they treated us. May God forgive them all for their underhand practices. We will be seeing the magistrate.

This real estate agency is by far the worst one I have ever come across. They took months to fix anything, even inportant things needed for everyday use. They also did not clean the apartment after the previous tenants (banister was broken, giant holes in the wall, left trash everywhere). Im sure Davis took their security deposits and just pocketed the money for themselves. Oh, they also did not have smoke detectors in the basement and our furnace caught fire. We were unaware until a kind citizen called the fire department because they saw smoke coming out of the vents from the basement. Also, all of their application fees and what not are just a scam to get money. If youre looking for a place to rent at lock haven then I suggest finding a place that does not involve Davis real estate.

I initially started renting through Davis because they were able to accommodate me quickly into a short-term lease. After that lease, I decided to remain with Davis, but moved to another property. During my time, especially my transition, the staff was exceptional. They were always available and responded quickly. I am happy to rent from Davis Real Estate, and will definitely take advantage of their expertise when purchasing a home.

She is a horrible landlord who doesnt fix anything, and after talking with other former tenants they have a track record of keeping your security deposit and using it to fix what they wouldnt while you lived there. Avoid this landlord and go with someone else. Trust me, youll be glad you did. She also sold us the apartment with sewer included and then changed the lease a year after we lived there.

Worst rental experience ever, from someone whos been living in apartments for a decade. Unprofessional and ill-equipped staff from top to bottom. Not sure how they are in business with the customer service, or lack thereof, we experienced during our eight months as tenants. Would never rent from Davis Real Estate again, and would advise others to look elsewhere.

Poor maintenance and poor service when requiring maintenance. The first time I walked in their building a younger gentleman was coming out and said "Theyll rape you in pricing." I never understood him until now. I do not recommend and will be terminating my lease at the end of the lease. Never again,

They will rip you off on security deposit. Several weeks in the winter the house was at 40degrees because the furnace broke. There was no explanation, no apologies and absolutely no rush to fix the problem. Truly evil people, rent from someone else if at all possible.
