We enjoy Indian food, but have had trouble finding a good, consistent restaurant in the area, so whenever we find a new one, we go check it out. This is a good option in the Harrisburg area. I tend to evaluate a restaurant on 3 things, in this order: 1) quality of food, 2) level of service, and 3) ambiance/decor. The food here was delicious. Everything that we had tasted fresh & flavorful. Their Bryani rice dish was fabulous, along with their Saag. Also had a few curry based dishes, which were also wonderful. The service levels are good - they are attentive to the water glasses, and did come by to check on us several times. The only odd thing we encountered was that most of our food came out together, but the Bryani dish came out about 20 minutes or so after everything else. Almost like the kitchen forgot to make it. But it was very tasty, and we definitely want to go back. Another reviewer on here recommended going to Indian restaurants in NY & NJ, and Im sure that they are very good, but we just are not going to travel for 3-4 hours to get dinner, so we try to find places that are within 45-60 minutes from us, and this is a good option. Id recommend this to anyone who enjoys Indian food.

I am not kidding!!!! .The Indian food was beyond bad. If i want to have gravy made using canned tomato paste, Ill go to a Indian students place, definitely not a restaurant and definitely wouldnt pay for it!!! I ordered the Biryani which turned out to be colored rice with some spices sprinkled on top. There was NO flavor in the rice. By far the WORST biryani (if you can call it that) I have EVER had in my life. The tandoori chicken was again colored chicken with NOOO flavor in it. I also ordered a gravy called Mughal or Shahi chicken (I will update this post with the exact name which i have marked on their take away menu). It was essentially chicken cooked in canned tomato paste + water + spices. DISGUSTING DISGUSTING DISGUSTING!!! On top of that, my stomach got upset the day after i ate here. I will NEVER EVER EVER return to this place. I MAY have their Chinese food, for the sake of a review.

I strongly recommend to take this restaurant out of your list . We recently attended one of our friend party and had upset stomachs for all having had the food from this restaurant. I have suffered three days since there has been food poison! The party was attended by lots of kids and pregnant women who too suffered from this stinky food. I would strongly recommend to all never think of this dumb place who even dont give a thought on kids party . A very big NOOOOOO to this junk food restaurant. I am cautioning people to save your health from this restaurants unpleasant foodies! I would give a big *0* rating for this !!!

For last 3+ years we have placed catering order for up to 100 to 200 people more than a dozen times. The quality of food, service and delivery has been consistent and satisfactory. Boneless chicken tikka, chicken biryani, butter chicken, tandoori mix grill, lamb sheekh kabab... party trays are something we order repeatedly. I am planning to use them again for a 300+ guest party. We have also visited the restaurant located in the mall food court with decent mall dinning environment. The food quality is exceptional, my favorite is sheekh kabab.

I was appalled by the food. 2 out of the 3 dishes we ordered had hair in them. We had asked about several menu items, but they were out on all of them. The shrimp tandoori I ordered stated it included jumbo shrimp, but what I got were the tiniest shrimp I have ever seen in a boatload of onions. Overall my family and I were very dissatisfied and will not be returning.

This restaurant food sucks. It was like boiled food and not cooked well. Delivered at my personal request as I was at hotel and not having vehicle to go there. 1 star additional is for that service otherwise I was giving 1 only. Me and my family didnt liked it at all. We cooked better than at home. Well not recommend to have food from there. Rest its your call.

If you want your stomach to be good ...then dont go that resturant and avoid stalled food...

I used to frequent they original Taj downtown and was very sad when they moved to the East Mall. After talking with friends this year I was happy to find out they reopened on the west shore! And the food is just as good as it was when I started going. Quick, friendly service, and in my opinion, the best Indian restaurant on the west shore.

I could do with less then one star, horrible experience. I ordered for boneless biryani to takeout, i was disheartened to see pieces of only chilli chicken in biryani when i opened it at home. When they can cheat you on your face i can only imagine what would they do behind the kitchen doors. Lost my trust, never going back again.

Had a hard time finding this place since there are no signs outside the mall. Food was poor and overpriced. I ordered a platter and my cousin ordered a combo meal. He had more amount than I did and I paid double the price! Also they charge extra for raita! Lastly there is no thing called customer service at this place. Stay away!

Food is excellent! Staff is very polite and efficient. I ended up coming here two days in a row. Bench mark for this place is its customers are mostly Indian. Being an Indian and finding a restaurant which has delicious Indian food is hard to come by in the US. Unless its in little India in Chicago or NYC.

One of the best india rest. Few items are really good.... they make best Malayi kofta. Food quality is really Good. South Indian dishes are also good. Try samosa from the Appetizers menu which taste consistent. Service - Good(sometimes they mess up with take out order). Ambience - Very dull.

I use to be a regular Taj Palace for Mutton Biriyani but not been going recently, after 2 months gap I went this weekend and let me tell you, the best biriyani I had in this area, the mutton was so tender. Also tried Poori Bhaaji and Chole Batura... it was excellent.

worst taste ever... Frankly speaking the guys at Manchester never tasted indian cuisine... try indian restaurants in NJ or NY... and believe me you would save 40 to 50% compared to this restaurant.. very expensive and not sure why are they charging almost 25% taxes

The most worst biryani I have tasted here, they made biryani with plain rice with some colors on it, few fried onions and added tandoori chicken and they called it boneless special chicken biryani, better change the Briyani name as plain rice over tandoori.
