Common Sense

Had originally called early in the week to reserve the Uhaul for an entire day. However, when we showed up, thankfully we got an early start, they told us it was only available until 1:00pm. They had double booked the U-haul without any notice whatsoever. Rather than making customer service a priority, they were acting like slimy sales people trying to scam an extra $ off their products. Then, after calling customer service, who was very helpful, we received a call from a manager. His customer service was once again horrible. Rather than give us a credit, he just gave us our original agreement back, to a point. We now had until 4pm to return the Uhaul. That would have been fine, however, that was the original agreement pretty much. There was no compensation for the bait and switch tactic they pulled to make double off one of their trucks that day. I am not familiar with other moving companies, but I would highly recommend anyone to check out other places before coming here. And to make matters worse, we drove from Harrisburg to Camp Hill to Carlisle and back to Mechanicsburg. According to their odometer, that calculated for over 80 miles of driving. I really find that hard to believe. Maybe it was, but after their slimy tactics to start the day, I lost all trust in this slum company. There was no turning back that morning either. They know that people need to move and have made plans on that specific day. So they took advantage of that and threw customer service out the window. NEVER AGAIN will I use uhaul. Worst customer service ever. I even got a reference number from the nice customer service lady. These "sales" people could learn a thing or two about customer service and how bait and switch is NOT a good tactic.

Pros: great selection, easy location, professional/courteous staff Cons: you may have a short wait, depending on when you drop off Wow, these guys can be busy on weekends. Despite the long line of U-haul returns that they checked in, they handled my return pretty quickly. Unfortunately, the guys behind me had to wait about 10 minutes for the U-Haul team to catch up, though. The staff that I met were all professional and courteous. The man that met me at my truck was especially good. Inside the store, they had a good selection of moving and packing supplies. There were plenty of rentals available outside. Overall, the property was one of the bigger U-Haul locations that Ive seen.

My husband and I had an appointment to have a hitch installed at the U-Haul in Carlisle but we messed up on the date . The man there said that it could be a few days to get another date but then he made a call . The man there called this one and this guy said that he would install the hitch for us . The men at both places were very nice and friendly and very helpful . The only thing is , if they tell you to go to the dinner , DO NOT GO , THE DINNER IS TERRIBLE !!!! Go up the hill to Moes bar & grill , they are MUCH FRIENDLIER !!!!

The people at this location are really helpful. They had a great selection, payment options and moving supplies. I got a great box for my flat screen, blanket and a dolly that came in handy. The rates are relatively cheap for a move within the area. The average price is about $150 for a day. Thats including fuel. Take my advice when looking moving assistance. They also have storage. Look for Kyle. He knows his stuff and is very professional.

What kind of company calls a customer 24 hours before their reservation to tell them that they dont have a truck for you...that you reserved a month ago....until 2pm in the afternoon. Not quite fair to the people helping me move tomorrow. Oh and the kicker is the lady on the phone tried to make it my fault for not checking on my reservation sooner.

Ive dealt with this location many times, and have always had an excellent experience, whether its filling my grill bottle, or renting a truck or trailer. Theyve even been flexible when I had to push back my trailer rental a few days at the last minute because of something outside my control.

I used this U-Haul location a few times. Theyve always had my truck ready and quickly get me moving. They have flexible hours and a truck guarantee. Returns are easy as well, location is near a gas station for a last mile fill up. Highly recommend going here.

Stopped in on a Saturday to rent a pickup for a few hours, I was in the truck and on my way in about 5 minutes. Drop off was even easier. Great place to rent from.

Clean facility and they have a huge inventory of trucks and trailers. Only bad thing is they didnt check the truck miles and had an extra 30 miles on the odometer.

Picking up the truck can sometimes take a long time but drop off is super quick. The customer service is good as well. Plenty of trucks available.
