Ok, Im a 1st time mom so naturally Im skeptical about anything involving my baby girl. She went to Busy Bees Learning Center for 3 weeks. She started when she was 20 months. Toured the facility, I liked it initially. Seemed clean and safe. We did 2 trial days for 2 hours at a time and my daughter seemed to be ok with it. She is/was very advanced. She knows her name, can spell it, she reads and knows her phone number. Her 1st day, I was asked at pick up, "She talks? I was confused, but then realized that the other kids werent talking yet. The next day I gained my Guardiancam access (a gift & a curse). I noticed that my daughter was always off to the side or roaming around by herself while the teachers and assistants were catering to the other kids. I dont know if it was because my daughter was more advanced and was finished before the other children but my family and I were uncomfortable about this. This was something my fiancé and I noticed every time we looked at the cameras. One day they let her nap for 4 1/2 hours. I was irate. On her last day there, I called and asked if she could be moved to the 2 year old class because they were more her speed and she is also potty trained (which they dont start there until 2 years old), and they told me that it would throw off the ratio of the 2 year old class. I just had to take her out. I couldnt fathom paying $240 for 3 days of daycare and my child is not learning, being challenged or payed attention to.

My daughter attends this daycare and she loves it. Being a first time mom I was very nervous to leave my child any where for that long (8 hours), but this daycare has video cameras that all the parents have access to on your phone or computer and this made me more secure. Busy Bees also gives a daily report on your child to keep you informed of whats going on in the facility. The teachers here are very attentive to the kids and the kids love the teachers. They place the children in groups according to how many teachers they have in a room and assign each teacher a certain amount of children. Being as though each teacher may only have 4 kids to look after, they get to know the children on a personal level and can pay more attention to your child. You do have to provide breakfast and lunch everyday, but my daughter is very picky when it comes to food so I dont mind. Every holiday they learn about different cultures and places in the world. Curriculum is OUTSTANDING !!!!!!!!! and the staff are very helpful and loves the kids on a personal level. Other than that I would say that it is one of the best daycares in the city. -------> Believe me Ive SEARCHED the WHOLE city of Philadelphia.

I recently toured the premises in search for care for my 11 mth old baby and I was not impressed. Although the staff appeared very involved with the kids, courteous and somewhat professional I found the place too dingy and cramped. The place was definitely overcrowded. they didn’t have space for my child at the time, but hey asked me to call in to check periodically, rather than placing me on a wait list. Not good cust service. The space is in the LL/ basement level so its extremely dark (hardly any natural sunlight) and the carpet appeared to need to be cleaned or replaced. I didn’t get a sense of much hygiene as a policy and doubt they disinfect the toys and gear daily. The waiting area left a bad first impression on me as it was dirty and one of the attendants came out in house slippers (fuzzy). The tour guide actually told me that they generally don’t have any issues with safety with the kids other than the occasional "bitting"amongst the kids. That statement wasn’t too reassuring to me. I did like the fact that they offered a baby cam for parents to see they children and it would have been very convenient for me working in the same building. So unfortunate

My 10 month old daughter loves it here, as did my other children (now 10 and 8). I love that my daughter has the same teachers that my older children had. The longevity of the teachers here speak volume for the integrity of the daycare. I also love that they have the Guardiancam and I obsessively watch her on my computer while at work. It has the feel of home away from home. The infant room has a "living room" setting that I really like (other daycare centers Ive seen look too institutional and cold). Everyone here is friendly, courteous and helpful. But most importantly, they genuinely love and are devoted to the kids. The owners are wonderful and are always willing to work with you. I can go on and on.....
