This funeral home handled the passing of my grandmother in the most unprofessional manner possible. The service started late, and was entirely unorganized. The supervisor (lady with the long dreadlocks) was impersonal, rude, and treated the entire service as if it was only a business to her. She treated my grieving family as if we were a nuisance to her and her time. Employees of the establishment were in the office having loud, disruptive conversations DURING the service. The conductor who gave the eulogy referred to my grandmother by some obscure, wrong name during his eulogy. Overall, it was just ghetto; however, not a surprising finding of a Black funeral home. My advice to you: invest your money elsewhere, with an establishment who actually cares about you, your grieving, and your deceased relative.

My experience with Emmanuel Johnson funeral home in the both cases of my beloved was handled professionally, with genuine caring + concern. with great efficiency. In both cases, as a bereaved parent and maternal aunt/mother the services were beautiful , though the circumstances were very difficult.. They also provided funeral arrangements of my old college roommate with the same level of professionalism. This old Germantown family owned funeral service, is one of the best in my book. They added special touches, ive never have seen and give back to the community too. From the depths of my heart, im so very grateful to Emmanuel Johnson Family Funeral Home. Love yous. Thank.you

They seem unprofessional and unorganized to me. We were thinking about using their services, but their vibe seems a bit off as it pertains to business acumen. I am not sure who wrote some of these other reviews, and perhaps they may have had a good experiences with them, but I highly doubt it. Just the initial consultation stages with them have turned me off. To lose a loved one is stressful enough, and my first impression is that they would not lighten the stress-load. This is just my opinion. I would tread lightly when thinking of using them for your loved ones. Blessings to you that have lost a loved one.

I wouldnt bury a bone with these people. They lie, are rude, impersonal and the Summary of Service looks like you are ordering from a diner. A woman laid deceased in full view as we discussed my brother, whom she referred to by the wrong name. I felt like I was planning to pay them and not celebrate my brother. Cynthia had us wait for her for 45minutes while she did nothing. She was unorganized, could not keep up with our requests and was NOT very knowledgeable. Most questions we asked were un answered. Thank God we didnt use them

My family has been using this funeral home for years and I always make it my business to refer others. They are trustworthy people who actually care.
