I live in Northern Liberties and unfortunately, this is our designated post office. This location doesnt even warrant a 1 star ranking, but you cant post a review unless you pick a star. I mailed my Mom in Florida her Mothers Day card about 10 days before Mothers Day this year. About a week ago she called me and told me that she received a letter from the post master general saying they caught an employee of the post office stealing mail (including her Mothers Day card which contained a personal check). I did not even realize that she had not received the card, and she thought I didnt send one! How clueless do you need to be, to think you can get away with stealing mail?! It doesnt end there. I recently received an email saying a package I ordered had just been delivered. It was 1:40 PM and I was working from home on that day. I went right out to my mailbox and the mail was there, but NO PACKAGE and NO SLIP. I tried to call the post office, and you guessed it...constant busy signal. So I waited a couple of days to see if the package would come, but when it didnt I called the post office and filed a claim. They told me that someone would call within 48-72 hours. Well, I am working in the office today and just missed the call from the post office. I called right back, and you guessed it...CONSTANT BUSY SIGNAL! WTH?!

Due to not being home to receive online delivery, my package was sent to this post office. I waited in line 45 minutes. The woman at the window would disappear into the back room for 5-10 minutes every time someone new came to the window. What could she be doing back there?? On top of this, she acted like each person was inconveniencing her by coming in. Once I finally got up to the window (debated leaving the line at least 5 times due to the ridiculousness of the situation), I gave the woman my slip (which was dropped off at my door by the mail person stating the package was sent to that post office), then she, without fail, disappeared into the back room for 5-10 minutes. It was laughable. She finally showed herself again so she could tell me the package could not be located. From here, she directed me to her supervisor. This was an even more rude, and equally useless woman who took down my phone # and told me she would let me know when they found my package. I knew this would not happen. I never received a call. I tried calling them and the phone just rings until you are automatically disconnected. What do you do at this point? Wait in another 45 minute line? Probably better off letting the package be consumed by this atrocity of a business than be stuck in purgatory along side them.

Im self employed and order a lot of things online, which unfortunately means I have to deal with this post office and its employees on a pretty regular basis. I actually go out of my way to choose UPS or FedEx shipping to avoid this place as much as possible. If I have a package ordered to my home, I always pay close attention to the tracking number, because the carrier NEVER leaves a slip or rings my doorbell. A lot of times I "miss" packages on days that Ive been home. I think they often just mark unavailable in their computer system and dont actually attempt to deliver the package. If you have the misfortune of needing to actual go to the post office in person, god help you. The employees are surly and incompetent, and completely unmotivated to provide quick service. Theres usually a line out the door, and the person at the window moves at a snails pace to locate packages or otherwise fulfill customer requests. Dealing with this place really puts a damper on the ease of online shopping. Avoid this post office at all costs if possible!

Not sure why everyone else gets bad service, but these guys are on point with me and everytime I go in there they are nice and helpful. Just like any post office you gotta stay on top of them especially in a big city. I lived in various big cities across the United States and people always giving bad ratings in big cities. You want a post office that caters to all your needs then go live in the country were everyone knows everyone. It just kind of disturbs me cause these people work super hard and Ive seen it with my own eyes. So once again you want someone to cater to your needs go live in Alaska otherwise quit whining and stay on top of your stuff or just move its that simple. Take a look at all post offices in Philadelphia and they all have Los stars go to any big city and they all have low stars. Why does every post office in every big city across America have low stars. I know because your ego isnt being stroked. Surprise suprise your not the only person in a city of over one million people. Ridiculous how childish adults are.

The service at this post office is so dismal, I started paying extra just to have online orders delivered with any other service but USPS. As an office slotted for closure (not soon enough), all the staff has given up to the point that they accept, on your face, that they no longer do basic things like answering the phone or even leaving notices when a package cannot be delivered. Surprisingly, as a ghetto post office, the location is not an issue. Easy to find and never a problem finding parking. The nightmare starts when you walk in. And the misery is not contained to the office itself. Trucks, postmen and customer service are all on a concerted effort to reach the lowest possible point in client satisfaction. Out of the last 10 packages, 9 were late, 2 got lost, 3 were thrown at the door (thank you neighbors for not stealing them!). 1 came destroyed and 7 never came and had to spend 2+ days tracking them with the this office. A disgrace to every post worker out there to keep this office functioning like this.

Im giving 1 star because, i cant rate it lower. Do Not Have Packages Delivered by this location. When ordering something, please select another delivery option! I work at a business in the area and if the regular mail carrier is off or on vacation our packages could end up in Africa. I dont know how many times our packages were delivered to another business across the street. We have lost very important things because of this. It doesnt matter whose name is on a package if the correct address is on it. I just had a package returned to the company it came from because the address was said to be incorrect. How incompetent or shall I say, just lazy is that? If the package is sent back to this location, good luck if they can find it and the attitudes of the staff are at an all time low, like your bothering them by coming in!!! If UPS or FedEx cant deliver a package for you in this area, dont bother because they are just that bad! Regular mail is all they can handle!!!

I swear to God someone needs to get in touch with the post master general or some inspector general because the incompetency of this post office is near criminal. Constantly losing my package, false attempts to make a delivery I have called amazon several times pleading with them to stop using usps. Its gotten to the point where I am unable to use amazon because if I dont end up going to the post office to pick it up. They lose the package. I see the local mail carrier for Northern Liberties in the bar on his lunch at the Abby near spring garden but I dont think he is the guy that handles packages. But I have had it i lived at this address for over a year and I have yet to have a successfully delivered package and i order a lot from Amazon
