The gym is a very nice gym. The people who work for the gym is another story. When I went to join with my boyfriend we were told one story and later a different story. I decided to join for a year and the guy who helped stated the price for my guy would be less than normal considering we would "be a family". Not the case. Charged him more than what was originally stated claiming "I didnt say that" meanwhile, the same guy. The second is the free fitness survey. Take full advantage of it....but as soon as you tell them you arent interested in paying for personal training because its too expensive, they hound you until you give in. It took me half an hour of saying no for the guy to finally get I cannot afford to pay for personal training. When I go to the gym, Id rather not be bothered and just do my own thing. Which the amount of people who attend this gym is very much attainable, but the awkwardness of the people you told "no" to just makes it weird. If you take out the people trying to make money off of you, the gym is great. The amount of equipment they have is greater than any gym Ive been to, as well as multiple of the same machine. I have not once been intimidated by anyone, or any issues using any equipment. I have always been approached by politeness if I was finished using the weights/machine and if not, I wasnt bothered again. I feel most people are afraid to join such a mainstream gym because of intinimadation, but here is not the same. If you have the money to join here, do it. But dont be fooled when they try to get more money out of you.

Picture in your head... a nice gym filled with every spoiled little guy youve ever met in your life wearing leggings/short-shorts.. now picture them leaving their 10lb weights, waterbottles, and towels everywhere even when they have done left at peak hour. Now imagine them combined with old men who wear compression shorts, a stringer tank, and a head band to work out in... But YOU are focused, YOU continue to lift in spite of pampered rich people watching you. YOU move on to the ritual of benching... you try to get focused and before you go to lift at maximum potential a gross 90lb 62 stripper is doing cartwheels around you... BUT THE GAINS ARE DRIVING YOU... You decide to move on to another machine. As you are in the middle of warming up a black guy with little man syndrome is trying to challenge your gains by staring you down and attempting to do your warmup... AT THIS POINT YOUR ANGRY so you up the weight to 75% max and find your challenger watch in disbelief and leaves in embarrassment... Frustrated over these distractions you go to wash away the sweat. You use the shower only to catch gay boys checking your body out. You try to not say anything because the gains are too good over a spotty house fluffer... a day in the life at LA at this location

Gym is overall "OK". Decent selection of machines although youll often find broken ones. It usually takes a couple weeks for them to get fixed. Typically this isnt an issue since there are so many, but can be frustrating during peak hours or if there is only one of a kind. Good selection of free weights. Frequently runs out of towels. Its very frustrating when you pay for towels w/ your membership and there are never any to be had. They are almost always out of towels in the morning. When they do have towels, they are frequently threadbare and torn. The locker room is very dirty. There is almost always stuff on the carpet. The toilet areas are a biohazard. They removed the paper towel dispensers from the locker room about a month ago for "repair" I was told. Havent seen them back since. Its nice to save waste and energy, but its impossible to wipe up the water around the sink without paper towels. With all this, they do have a racquetball court and are cheaper than other options in the area. So for now, Im still a customer.

I signed up on Nov 3rd, and the sales manager, Jeff, told me that Id be able to cancel my membership and get full refund within 2 weeks. Since the gym was super busy at the time that I wanted to use, I decided to cancel my membership. So I did so on Nov 14th. After a week I had not seen refund on my account, so I called them and asked about. They told me that I shouldve canceled my membership with the member service, not the fitness sales. I went there and was told that if I wanted a full refund, I shouldve canceled within a week! So I called the operation service in California to ask what I should do. They told me that I signed the agreement which says I wont get full refund after a week! However, the fitness sales manager told me otherwise! The point being that the gym is kinda expensive. I dont know why it is a signature club! They got a super small pool! Also the sales manager sucks! He told me Ill get my money back, but now I cant because of him!! And he did not do anything about it, he did not even say sorry!

Man has this place taken a dive since it switched over from Urban Active. To start with good luck finding a 45, 10, or 5 lb plate. You literally have to walk around searching for them. Also, good luck finding a barbell. They dont have enough for all the benches and squat racks. Good luck wiping off a piece of equipment. They took out half the cleaning stations once it became LA Fitness. The downstairs is huge. There are 4 cleaning stations. Im quite surprised there hasnt been a MRSA outbreak there. If you want to use the TRX station..oops sorry that is only if you have a personal trainer. Trash sits on the floor for weeks. I saw the same bottle of water on the floor for 10 days. Honestly, the only thing "signature" about this club is its towel service. I will also say the front end staff is very nice/courteous as well. It looks like ultimately the problem(s) start at a corporate level and not with the staff working at the location.

A few things- 1. Its a joke this is a "signature" club. Signature here gets you towels to use (which theyre always out of) and I cant think of one other difference between this and the dozens of other la clubs Ive been to (I travel for work). No indoor track. Worlds smallest basketball court and the roof is always leaking. 2. Its been 80 degrees the past four days, this gym is on the second and third floor of a building and the entire place is a sauna. Turn on the AC. Some "signature" club. 3. The tvs on all cardio equipment do not work unless you have headphones plugged into the jack, which is a joke. They are busted and need fixed, they shouldnt need headphones plugged in to work. Corporate needs to take a look into this location. Dropping the "signature" club status would be a good start.

More expensive than other La Fitness locations but still a great facility. They bought out a gym at this location and it took them a while to bring new services. Eventually theyll have a smoothie bar, tanning, and towel service. Smoothie bar is not included with the membership and Im not sure about tanning. Towel service is free though. They have a pool and unfortunately only 1 racquetball court. Running machines can get filled during busy times. Theres also a movie room which you can run in. A membership here will cost you between $40-55 a month or $30 for one person with a large deposit. Trainers will be another $50 per session. I had a great experience with a sales representative who used to work for the previous gym (Urban Active).
