Technically, this place is fine for a gym. Nothing special; basic machines and polite staff. Worth $10/month, though not really worth the sign-up and yearly fees they charge you. For me the only bad part was that they dont make it the easiest to cancel your account. After being told when I signed up that my contract would automatically cancel out after my year was up (I got a blackcard membership), 14 months later I was still being charged. When I called to cancel and get my money back, I was told that my contract wasnt up; my "commitment" was up, but they would continue to charge me. Keep in mind I hadnt been going for two months; $40 down the drain in a time when thats all I have for groceries in a week. Then I couldnt even just cancel by phone or online, and I sure as hell wasnt getting my money back for the month I wasnt using, EVEN on the day the charge had gone through. You have to go in (or send a certified letter) and fill out paperwork to cancel. And again, they wont reimburse me for this upcoming month that Im not going to use.

Honestly, I dont get these crappy reviews. Ive been going to gyms for over 20 years (been to several over the years), and to this particular gym for over a year and its great. I know gyms - Ive been to good ones and to bad ones. The place is spacious, not overcrowded unless you go at a peak hour, and it has great Cybex and cardio machines. It has everything you need to get in shape, and Ive found the employees to always be friendly and professional. Its $15 a month with no contract, how much cheaper can you get? In response to the complaints on here: I have no idea why a gym would cancel a membership unless they had a really good reason. If youre looking for a "man gym" join one. I have no idea why you would feel uncomfortable at this gym - theres a bigger mix of people here than any other gym Ive been to - young, old, big, little, all colors. If youre not comfortable here, I dont think you will be anywhere. Dont know what else to say except - Thanks Planet Fitness! Im so happy to have a great gym for super cheap!!

When my fiance and I joined we decided to go with the more expensive Black Card membership because that included use of the Hydromassage bed. We both have back and neck issues that access to the Hydromassage bed helps. This location has only one Hydromassage bed and more often than not the Hydromassage bed is out of service or not functioning properly. Weve inquired as to why the bed is broken so often and they tell us its due to such heavy use. Weve asked why they have only one Hydromassage bed when other locations have two or more and weve been told they have no room for another bed, and yet they have about 6 tanning beds that appear to remain empty most of the time, LOL! Although the Market St Greensboro location is 5 minutes from my house we often drive all the way to the High Point location because we want to be able to use the Hydromassage after our workouts. The Market St Greensboro location is in much need of the addition of a second Hydromassage bed.

I do a lot of work related travel, which requires me to pay daily fees at gyms all over the country and thought I have seen it all...Let me start off by saying the club is very clean and they have tons of cardio and pulley system machines and dumbells. However, they do not have any free weights. No flat bench, no incline, no military press. No squat rack, nor do they have a single power rack. All of those movements must be done on a smith machine at this gym. Im sorry, but squats on a smith, just doesnt cut it. Rack pulls and deadlifts on a smith machine; a joke! I wanted to do dead lifts to work my back and hamstrings, and they didnt even have a single Olympic 45lb bar in this gym. Do you like hammer strength machines? forget it, none as this gym. I was just dumbfounded by this place.

Been a member here for a few months now and I went out of town to come back to my lock having been cut off of the locker in the locker room. I go to the front desk lady and she told me they had posted a sign for 2 days...i was out of town. I also didnt get an email so I come back and have no place to lock my wallet up. They also informed me they arent going to replace it. Great way to start my workout. There is a young man here that shows up the same time every day that I do and he followed me home once and to the grocery store once...and on top of that there have been a number of times the treadmill cuts off halfway through my workout. I wont be renewing my membership here at the end. I am so mad i want to cancel it now and just leave I already have a membership at another gym.

Came in to transfer and cancell my membership in September 2016. The guy at the front desk said he can help. Well June 2017 I am still getting charged. I called and the manager stated not his problem even AFTER the person I first spoke to stated that the guy from September was fired for reasons similar to those. He said he was going to call me back after he spoke to a manager over him as well as cancel my membership...NEVER DID. I called him back today and he said that his manager said no and I had to get him to cancel it while I was over the phone until I receive the email. And to think I was gonna start working out with the company again. Smh.

Love it - the best deal in town for sure! Professional staff, clean facilities, what more could you ask for? Staff is friendly and professional and I have found that they are helpful and exhibit a positive attitude but are constantly on the move making sure things run smooth. Theres not a lot of time for chit chat. They are a publicly traded company under scrutiny by investors . You go there to work out and if you need to upgrade or buy something the transaction is always smooth professional. PS: If youre leaving town remember to upgrade before you leave!!!

Ive been sitting here for 15 minutes while 3 staff memebers are at the front desk. Not 1 staff member said, how may I help you, do you need anything, are you waiting on someone, NOTHING! Im going to see how long it takes. A guy just spoke but he also just walked through the door so Im not sure if he works here...looks like a trainer maybe. Patiently waiting while theres no members at the front desk. Im in regular clothes (looking like Im here to check out their facility...its now been 21 minutes and no greeting. 25 minutes and still nothing. Im gone! HORRIBLE!

Having an out of town membership i am unfamiliar with the workings of this gym, though like most people, i would assume it works like other planet fitness gyms. It is quite frustrating to have to sign in my guest day after day, i do not have to do that at home and the staff is always jumping from person to person without finishing the task at hand which leaves me standing and waiting. Then my 14yr old comes out of the bathroom telling me there is a used condom on the bathroom floor.... really... what kind of place is this
