This review is for a call into the shop, and yes its long but Im infuriated at the "customer service courtesy" and the tone I was spoken to with regarding the service that I wanted. I called in asking for a quote on an oil change, and I buy my own oil and filter because the oil and filters that are used are extremely cheap products. Im in a bit of a jam because the shop I normally go to charges me $10 for the labor as it takes maybe 10 minutes to change the oil. I was told that the rate would be $33 and change plus tax, the same price of an oil change using their own oil and filter. The reason I was told was this price is because of the labor rate, but that makes absolutely no sense as the shops own oil and oil filter arent being used and the labor is minimal to do an oil change. This is absurd to charge the same rate when a customer has their own oil and filter. This shop need to cater to customers instead of trying to maximize profit when their own oil nor filter are being used. I would have been fine if they said it was even $15. I need other car parts and they would have had more sales for auto parts, like purchasing new wipers and some detailing products. The person who answered the phone gave me an attitude when I asked why its the same price but their own oil and filter arent being used (quick lube shops generally change the oil with cheap cam2 and a very cheap filter, and I purchase high end oil and the best bosch oil filter. So I stay away from what the shop puts in, and I know exactly whats going in and on the car). His response was the cost labor rate but it takes 10-15 min to change the oil, their labor rate should be about $40 per hour, Ill say it takes 15 min, by doing such extremely hard math, I came up with an answer of $10. Even if the labor rate was $60 per hour, (which is rediculous for Pep Boys) that would be $15. Why cant the phone be answered in a pleasant manner, and please a customer by not lying to the customer that the cost of an oil change, again without their oil or filter being used, is based on this "labor rate". So charge the labor rate by the time it takes to do the job without your oil and filter. Which would be $10-$15. Dont try and take advantage of a customer, at least I thought thats not what Pep Boys does. "Trust The Boys To Get You There". Sounds like a good slogan until the service center tries to take advantage of a customer who already has what is needed for the job I would do it myself but I am seriously injured and cant do the work. I would think that Pep Boys would do their best to cater to the customer as your commercials say you do, and that youre willing to go the extra mile. Once I arrived at the store I likely would have purchased a lot more products from this location if the person on the phone gave me a reasonable price for just the labor on the oil change and not the full price without the use of their products. It infuriates me to be spoken to with such disrespect and lied to about the oil change. By this persons logic, if I would not have my own oil and fiter to be used on the car, I would be paying for the labor and the shop would be replacing the oil and filter for free. Anyone who has half a brain would see this for what it is, a farce. Dont ever treat a customer that way. I do want to speak with customer service about this situation, so that I may have a resolution and an apology for the way I was treated with such disrespect and spoken down upon.

Honestly Id give them a zero if it were an option. All Im here for is one tire to change. I called ahead on the phone to make sure the one I wanted was in stock, guy on the phone says "sure is just bring it in" tells me the total price. I come in telling me the price of the tire the guy on the phone said the guy tells me "oh we dont have that in stock we have this one for more money". Are you kidding me! I tell the guy "well I called a few minutes ago and one of your workers said you had it in stock for less than what your asking now" finally I agree to get it done cause I cant drive on the spare forever. He tells me that it should be an hour. Im here an hour later they still havent taken my car in. My husband goes to ask whats the holdup "oh theres 2 cars in front of you youll have to wait another 45 minutes". Im livid. First you lie about a tire you claim to have in stock then I have to wait 2 hours for something my brother in law couldve done at home. All because you didnt wanna loose your precious labor money! Im never coming here again. Mind you all the while Im nice and patient about the wait, and the guys that took care of me were complete assholes! First and last time coming here.

Failed me for rear rotors / brakes and tires, got all of it changed and came back (they wanted 1600$). They than failed me for front rotors and brakes. A little note saying they were borderline and I would have changed them while I was doing the rears. Thanks for wasting my time, will not return. Update: I got a call from someone saying they valued my service and would do the next inspection free, I scheduled it for last night with 3-4 day notice. Showed up and dropped my car off 15 min early, grabbed a bite to eat at Arbys and walked around the local shops, at 6:45 my car was still where I pulled it in, they didnt even look at it until 7, not to mention I was the only one in the waiting room for an hour and a half (Id be more understanding if they were busy). 3 Tries, never once left happy, Seriously this time.... never ever ever again. -Ben

Brought my F250 in for an alignment because they said they could start in 20 minutes and I didnt want to wait 2 days for NTB. They had the alignment fixed in a reasonable (the Toe was out). When I left to drive home I noticed the steering wheel was about 5 degrees off to the right when I was going straight. I brought it back, but after 2 more hours and 5-6 more attempts to fix it the mechanic still couldnt get it right and no other mechanic there ever looked at it during that time. The next day I spoke to the manager and he had another mechanic look at it and it was fixed within 30 minutes. I was not offered any sort of compensation for all the time I lost or fuel lost for all the test drives my truck was taken on because the mechanic could not get it right after so many tries.

Do not change your oil, tune up, or any type of service for your car at this shop, because the people who work there are bunch of liars. The customer service is absolutely horrendous, and they do not fix your car, they tend to make your car even worse so you can go back to them. The people who work at this shop are bunch of thieves and rip off artists. Example, my friend who went there and wanted to put synthetic oil in his car. They managed to do the service but they did not put synthetic oil! Plus they absolutely refuse to let you watch any of their employees to fix your car, because they claim it is against policy. The truth is they do all kind of things to your car in order to make it worse. Avoid this shop at all costs!
