My trip to Best Auto Service & Tire Center in Tannersville, PA turned out to be the worst auto service experience I’ve had. We were on vacation and the car broke down. It would not start. I decide to call Best Auto Service and was told that they fix this type of Audi. I used my insurance tow to get the car there just after noon. After the car was already off the flatbed truck, I was told that they don’t have the time to look at the car the same day. I got a call in the afternoon of the next day saying that fuel pressure is out of range and that they need to do additional testing and was asked if they should continue as it will cost more money. I agreed to continue diagnosis but said that I need to know before the end of the day if they’ll be able to fix the car. I needed to call before they closed to find out the status and eventually was told that they still don’t know what the problem is and that they need more time to diagnose the issue. The next day when I was picking up the car, I asked what additional diagnosis was performed. I was told that everything was rechecked. Best Auto Service & Tire Center of Tannersville PA had my car for 2 days, they didn’t figure out the issue, charged me $150 and I needed to pay to have it towed to a dealer in NJ because I used my insurance tow to get it to their shop. The dealer was able to figure out the issue a few hours after the car was towed to them and had it fixed the next day.

When in for a routine inspection. A "mechanic by the name of Clark told us that we could "cheat" and spray the bottom front with some chemical and the truck would pass and that he would put a sticker on the vehicle. BEST does not do body work We did this, returned to have it reinspected, and turn out this is not correct and could not pass. It needed a whole new metal frame. This should have been dictated in the report and told the the customer. This shop should not have individuals who do that sort of thing as it is dangerous and leads to unwanted problems. I understand that the owner or head mechanic wants to go by the book because he does not want to get fined, but he should not have these individuals working there. That is corrupt and bad business. I will not go here ever again even for an oil change and this will be reported to the proper authorities.

Im a 57 year old retired GM Auto Worker, and have had several jobs with the company, where I worked for 30 years. Ive also had the good fortune to own many different vehicles. I know a good mechanic/service center when I find one. Well, upon moving to this area almost 2 years ago, one of my concerns was finding a good, honest, trustworthy and reliable place to have my current vehicles serviced. That is the kind of service I was used to. Well, I got to talking to a few folks in the area, and a couple of them suggested that I bring my cars to Best Auto Service--so I did. Their service to my new Subaru is top-notch as is the service to an older vehicle I own, as well. I would trust ANY make, model or year vehicle with these folks. They are simply "THE BEST" !

This is the absolute BEST service center Ive ever used and that includes New Jersey, New York and PA. The mechanics are the BEST. Clark was so very helpful and the communication with their customers cant be beat! He was respectful, courteous and explained everything so I could understand it. He was considerate and thoughtful with my concerns about my car. It felt like they were taking care of their own cars and were concerned about my safety first. And, no pressure, just honesty and integrity about what had to be done now and what could wait a little longer. I really appreciated that! I highly recommend Best Auto to everyone! Excellent quality of workmanship, excellent people! They truly are the BEST! Thank you all.

One of the worst auto service experiences I have had. Major work performed, almost $3,000. Failure of work performed resulted in significant hassle, Best Auto did not stand behind their work. It is my opinion that you will pay top dollar for parts and service at Best Auto in Stroudsburg, and you would be better off going to the dealer for service if you are going to pay a premium price. Even after an oil change, they recommend a 3,000 mile interval for non-severe duty service, which no manufacturer is recommending any more. Its more money in their pocket if they convince you to change your oil at greater than twice the recommended interval. I do not trust this auto repair facility.

I just moved to the area and needed a mechanic I could trust. Yesterday I found that at Best! I went twice to Monro muffler in Mt Pocono before finding Best and they told me numerous things that needed to be done to my vehicle before I could pass inspection. Yesterday I took it to Best and they told me the two things I needed and gave me a thorough safety inspection as well as first time customer inspection. They were very knowledgeable and spent time explaining to me what my vehicle needed. I have never received such superior customer service before at an auto mechanic as well as friendiness. Thank you Best!

Great staff. Knowledgeable and friendly. Tom and Lisa, the owners, will never let anyone be treated with anything but honesty and respect. Will recommend this place to anyone. Women, looking for a place that will treat you no different than as if you know about your car; look no further. This is the place for you. Even if you know nothing they DO NOT care. There is no difference between the male and female customer here. Both are treated the exact same way. With respect and honesty.

I am a woman and used to being blind sighted by unscrupulous auto repair centers. However, Best Auto went above and beyond my expectations. They performed with professionalism with integrity. Explained the repair process in detail. Took extra time to show me my car up on the lift. Service was timely and very reasonable. But the most important thing for me is "trust". Just as we were pulling in to Great Wolf Lodge our check engine light went on and our van started shaking. Far from home, we had to find somewhere we could trust to take our vehicle. Im so glad we found Best! Even though they were busy, they got our car done just in time for our scheduled return trip home. We were in a very vulnerable situation being far from home and were super greatful to Clark and everyone who helped us! Honest repair shop - highly recommend!!
