I travel from PA to central NJ for work and have belonged to the Florham Park Lifetime Fitness for several years. That club is one of the best I have ever belonged to and was excited to have one open open close to home so I could stop paying for a 2nd gym membership for the weekends. Unfortunately, the setup and management of the King of Prussia club is not up to the same standards as the one in NJ. Among the issues are: 1. Pools and gym are overrun by small children. There are guidelines about children on the weight floor but they dont seem to be enforced and there are so many children in the pools that its often not realistic for an adult to swim for fitness 2. Club trainers have brought in a cheap boom box which they turn on full blast to whatever music they want when running small group classes (2-3 people) on the weight floor. Ignoring the issue that trainers change the music from rap to country to disco depending on their individual preference, the music is turned up very loud in order to drown out the music playing over the PA system which also causes the sound to be distorted. This makes for an unpleasant experience on the weight and cardio floor. 3. When I asked about either turning down the trainers music or turning off the clubs PA system the manager on duty told me that they cant turn off the PA and didnt want to turn down the trainers music since the club is primarily focused on group training and classes as opposed to individuals. 4. Weight equipment is poorly laid out and very close together. This may be a result of the club being on 3 floors and not having enough room on a single floor for all of the equipment. For example, the free weights are arranged around a corner which limits the number of people who can use them at a time and a majority of squat racks are on a different floor from the rest of the weight machines. 4. For a club this new, there is a lot of malfunctioning equipment. Monitors on cardio equipment are regularly not working, machines are requiring service and the indoor pool has been closed. I realize that there may be a shakedown period after a big club opens, but for a club this expensive, I would expect better management. At this point, if I still see the problems after the small children are back in school, I would rather go back to paying for my old club rather than come to this one which is covered under my existing membership.

My husband and I went to signup for membership today after having a tour and discussion with a different sales agent earlier today. After we completed all the paperwork and signed they ran our credit card and had us review all the information. I happened to notice an additional $29 add on fee! I mentioned it to the sales agent that when I came in earlier there was no mention of the add on fee. I was given the monthly membership rate and a $274 joiner fee quote and was also provided a flyer of the same. When I questioned it she said it was was an ad on fee that they always charge and it can be variable. I asked her why I wasnt told earlier when I came to get the tour and given the flyer and she said she was unsure and brought someone else for assistance. The lady who came in to assist came in saying that there is a $49 standard add on fee. I mentioned to her that actually on the paperwork here in front of us it shows that $29 was being charged. I mentioned this was not quoted before when we decided to join. She said she would not be able to remove the charge and it was ONLY $29 and she was not even sure if it would process through as $29 or $49. We felt we were being nickeled and dimed behind our backs and NOT welcomed as new members, so we decided to cancel. For anyone interested in joining make sure that you ask about their HIDDEN FEES as well, especially since they keep your credit card on file.

I visited the grand opening, wonderful new building. All the facilities are brand new and in perfect condition. They have 4 squash courts, all of which are often usable to members. The fitness floor incorporates technology into much of their equipment. You are able to wear a heart rate monitor, allowing you to view your progression over time and see how you improve. By using the childcare center you can drop off your kids while you work out. A wide variety of fitness classes can be taken from yoga to a boot camp class. The aquatic area has both a indoor and outdoor pool. Overall I this this club is amazing and well do awesome in this area.

Excellent equipment and classes. The hours are great 5 am to midnight. The staff is very professional and courteous. They absolutely make it special. Very clean. Love the upper outdoor deck. Enjoy fresh water with state of the art fountain to refill water bottles. The pools are resort styled and friendly life guards. Racquet ball courts and classes to encourage beginners. Outdoor cafe perfect. Amenities plentiful. Parking a breeze. Hope to someday enjoy the spa and cafe.

Speaking from an employee standpoint as well as a member I have never felt such positive energy from every person I have met like I have at lifetime! Everyone is super positive and has high energy levels on a daily basis. I always look forward to going to work and I cannot wait to also spend more time there working out, eating lore of the cafes delicious food and getting my nails done in the spa. Definitely blessed to have lifetime in my life!

Beautiful massive state-of -the -art facility. Could be really special, however, the pools, both indoor and outdoor, are packed with screaming excited children. For those interested in a serious workout and swim, the amount of young children at the facility are a major detraction. At this time, it is hard to comprehend how management is catering so heavily to the young children and completely ignoring the adults.

Huge place. They have lots of equipment, all of which is rented so they can replace it to be the latest and greatest. They have two indoor pools (lap and recreational) as well as two outdoor pools (again lap and recreational). There are large slides on the outdoor pool and lots of chairs with umbrellas for laying out. They offer lots of classes, some of which are included in your membership and some arent.

New and clean are the two things that come to mind. The people who work here are wonderful and seem to care about what they do. My hope is that this place stays that way. Its not cheap but you overall get what you pay for. Only issue as of late is the bathroom outside where the pool is was not clean at all. I hope someone who works there reads this and takes care of it.

Its like a Country Club minus the golf, which is perfect for me and my family. And membership includes up to 3 hours of child care per day, per kid. Outdoor pool is tremendous. All healthy food options. Our new favorite family place!

Havent been yet but was looking forward to bringing my friend tomorrow and found out on the website that guest hours in the summer are 4pm to 9pm and there are no guest hours on the weekend which makes no sense and is very annoying.
