Very disappointed with my experience with Waterdog Computers. I brought in my 5-year old PC and explained that my kids had downloaded a lot of junk on it, those free programs that always download other things that you dont want, and it was running very slow and I wanted it to be cleaned up. I was told that I needed a speed up / clean up" which was billed at $95 for the first hour and by the hour for anything required after that. After 5 days I received a call from their technician telling me that my computer was infected with viruses and in order to clean it I would need to pay the $150 flat virus removal fee. Upon further discussion, the viruses that my computer had were adware, shareware, malware, and other things that were exactly what I was talking about when I brought the computer in. However, because I had agreed to the speed up/clean up rather than the virus removal at that time, I would have to pay for both. This was true even though he had spend 15 minutes of my hour on virus removal, and 15 minutes of my hour wasnt yet used. I wasnt allowed to apply those 30 minutes to the cost of the virus removal. Rather than put $250 into a computer that isnt worth that much, I decided to cut my loses and take it back. My complaints are this: 1) when I brought the computer in and described the problem, anyone with any technical knowledge should have known that what I was talking about virus removal according to their definition; 2) I should have been able to apply the unused 30 minutes that I prepaid to the virus removal; 3) I was also told ominously that my computer had less than 100% health. What I wasnt told until I picked it up was that the hard drive had "95% health" with 3 bad sectors. That doesnt seem to bad to me for a 5-year old computer. I am sorry that I used Waterdog and wouldnt recommend them to anyone.

Truly and wholly the worst experience I have ever had with a local business. I am an engineering student at Drexel and have a behemoth of a laptop for coding, CAD, gaming, and movies. The charging port on the laptop broke and I decided to have it fixed rather than buy an entirely new computer. I brought it in and it took about half an hour to fill out the work order with them. I left it there and about a week later they quoted me almost $300 for the work (including the necessary reimbursement for a soldering gun capable of getting hot enough to handle the type of solder they needed to use). I wasnt going to drop that kind of cash on a simple repair job but my father insisted I just go ahead so I didnt have to worry about it. It was around 2.5 weeks later that I got the computer back only to find that the problem was worse. I plugged my laptop charger in and the tip literally melted into the port. I thought it may have been a malfunctioning charger so I bought another and tried that one. Melted to the port. Pulled it out and completely destroyed the charging port. I took it back and they told me that the work wasnt under warranty anymore (this was maybe 3 months later). I sent the computer to a real repair shop and it was $85. No more problems. I always insist on supporting local businesses but these guys honestly just dont deserve it. I was shocked at how they turned their back on me after charging me so much money. I cant help but feel completely manipulated by the fact that they used MY money to buy a shiny new soldering iron and didnt even offer a discount on the repair which was caused solely by them. I am an easy customer to please, and rarely write negative reviews but I would recommend saving your money and going elsewhere. They are not looking out for you.

Honest, responsive. They have fixed/set up pcs, tablets and phones for me both remotely and at my home. Always upfront about rates, which are fair. They have saved me money on multiple occasions by suggesting work-arounds, or even telling me when its time to just let go of some dated technology. High integrity, great work - highly recommended.

Once again Waterdog saved the day. After and upgrade that left me unable to use my laptop I went to Waterdog for help. They corrected the issue promptly and reasonably. I no longer live as close to their office as I used to, it was worth the short drive to drop off my laptop at a place that I could trust.
