Do not use C & C Family Roofing. I normally am not huge on reviews because a single employee interaction is not enough to give a feel for a company but my experience with C & C Family Roofing was so bad that I felt I had to. Hopefully I can save someone else from the experience that I went through. We had them come out because we saw some leaking in our master bathroom under where the vent fan is. Their repair man looked in the bathroom said it was a leaking pipe collar and would be an easy fix. First off they do not accept credit cards unless you are willing to pay the 3% service charge which should have been a bad sign. When we paid the deposit for them to come out they said they could not actually give me an idea of when they would get here, but they would call the day of. I was not thrilled since my wife and I work, but they came out and “fixed it” when we were at work. A few weeks later after a big storm we saw that the drywall damage had gotten a lot worse so we called them back to come out and check their repair. This time I told them I wanted to be home for it so they had to give me a days notice. The repair man came out and said they replaced a different pipe collar. It turns out the original guy wrote down a 2 inch collar but the leaking one was a 3 inch, and that it was my fault for not knowing the difference. He repaired the original one and said for me to contact the office. I called them because I wanted to know who was going to pay to fix all the water damage that I received from them not fixing the right collar. After a back and forth with the GM John he said he would send out a check for $100 to pay for some of the cost. I did not receive the check for 3 weeks and when I called back I was informed John was no longer with the company and spoke with a woman I think was named Virgina. Right off the bat she was very aggressive and almost yelling at me. She did not even let me speak and told me that I should be paying them for fixing the wrong pipe collar which they cant even prove was broken. I told her what John and I discussed and she said since I didn’t have it in writing no one cares and that Im lucky they aren’t making me pay for fixing something that is not broken. After realizing she was clearly insane I hung up and decided to just end it. Please do not use C & C Family Roofing, they are a company of scam artists. They claimed they have tons of experience and would not replace something that was fine but they don’t even pay enough detail to repair the correct pipe collar. Do yourself a huge favor and use anyone else for your repairs but them.

Total HACK job, they did a roof for my 80+ year old parents and totally overpriced them for price they charged, and the quality of work they completed. Nobody spoke English when they came to do the work. The charged $5,000+over the average price for similar roofs in the neighborhood. The wood & soffit under the old shingles was deteriorated from water damage like a wet soft sponge, and C & C was supposed to replace the broken wood but instead they put the new shingles on top of it. The old roof was so bad, that the nails they used to secure the new shingles would of blown off in the first high winds. They had to come back out a 2nd time & remove the new shingles to replace the wood. There 1st new roof was like a trampoline, none of the wood was nailed/screwed to the rafters, and when you walked on it, it bounced up and down. After they came out the 2nd time to fix the wood, the new wood they put up was a different size then old wood, so the new roof has bumps/ridges around the plywood seams. I watched them pull out the new shingles, and underneath, the only repair they did to the water damaged plywood was put new paper on top of it. If you have seen the new version of the movie "Willy Wonka and Chocolate Factory" with slopes all over it, and different pieces & sizes of wood, that is what our new roof looks like. They should have replaced 4-5 pieces of plywood, but when they returned, they only fixed 1 piece of wood, and 1 section of the soffit. Nobody spoke English, so we couldnt explain to the workers what they were supposed to do. After the 2nd visit, the new roof had pieces of aluminum flashing poking out through the new shingles with holes around it the size of a quarter. I also found a hole near the shingles/siding the size of a baseball. They did not use caulk or tar anywhere, so all the seams near vent pipes (stacks) had ridges that aloud water to enter underneath the new shingles. Furthermore, the new roof they installed looks worse, and has more areas for water to enter underneath. I would never use this company or recommend them to anyone.

Roof was done in a timely manner, it looks great, and the office staff was very friendly and helpful with our many questions. Gutters were put up quickly after roof was done and they look good too. They also took extra time to shore up the fascia so the gutters would hang well, and capped everything without charge. Time will tell (we havent had a major rain yet) if the roof and gutters will be leak-free. The reason for taking 2 stars off was the overall sloppiness and carelessness of the crew. My landscaping was stomped on and crushed by their leaving their tools all over it. Two holes were made in my ceiling (it happens, no problem there) , but the drywall guy left a huge mess, did not tarp, got spackel on my carpets, and on the wall. I had to vacuum the floors and scrub my bedroom furniture, sheets etc. from the thick layer of dust. Lastly , the amount of debris that was left in my yard - yes, including easily 50 roofing nails, about 10 of which were in my driveway - was unacceptable. There is some sort of epoxy from the gutters permanently adhered to our driveway, and Im still finding little plastic sheets, pieces of plywood and old shingles every time I go outside. So, if they get a better handle on follow through with clean up , I think theyd be 5 star. Theyre very responsive, flexible with payments, and our house is transformed from the work they did on the roof itself. It just makes it difficult to enjoy when Ive had to do so much clean-up, re-plant landscaping and keep an eye out for nails and shards of plywood every time I go outside.

I am incredibly satisfied with every aspect of my experience with C&C. I will start by saying that I am very detail oriented and like to understand all of my options as well as the mechanics behind how things work. I also like to plan ahead and typically start my research well in advance of any large purchase or significant project. C&C was perfect for my style. I was instantly put at ease by Scott Miller. He patiently answered every single one of my questions, helping me to make the right decisions for replacing my roof, skylight, and gutters. Our discussions spanned multiple months because of my schedule and desire to coordinate C&Cs work with 2 other home improvement projects. I never felt an ounce of pressure to make my purchase. Questions about colors? No problem. Plenty of nearby homes to check out. Every single phone call, email, and text message was promptly returned and thoroughly addressed. Even when I wanted to double-check something we already discussed, I never felt like it was a burden. The crew that performed my installation was courteous and respectful of my property. They were prompt and extremely thorough in their cleanup of the job site. The materials C&C uses and workmanship are all top notch. My house looks wonderful and I feel great about my decision to choose C&C. I suspect it wont be too long until I see C&C showing up at my neighbors houses.
