I literally typed "free estimate roof charleston sc" and Big Bear was 3rd on the list. I clicked on them and on the home page was a place to request a free estimate. I filled one out and about 45 min later Palmer called me in regards to it. Once I explained to him that my project was time sensitive he immediately empathized. He explained everything to me in detail so that I could understand. We set forth on the financing application process. That was painful in itself but Palmer and Matt remained positive and supportive. Once I was able to attain the amount of money they estimated, we set an immediate date, their guys came out and were really efficient! They put my roof on in less than 2 days and cleaned my yard up of debris! I enjoyed working with these guys and appreciate their hard work and dedication! Especially for my time sensitive project! We had a great experience with Big Bear Roofing. They were the first company to respond to us when we called for help after the hurricane (after calling several restoration and roofing companies who would not call back). They came over on a holiday, immediately assessed our situation and got to work right away assisting us with insurance company negotiations and meeting with mold companies and multiple insurance adjusters. They were professional and responsive. When they came to replace the roof they arrived when they said they would, worked tirelessly, finished when they said they would and had a project manager working with us to ensure we were happy during the process. This team has been a pleasure to work with and we highly recommend them.

They showed up ready to work, but the work quality was very poor. There was rotten wood that needed to be replaced, and was in the contract to be replaced, thay was not replaced. The roof is saging in spots and they said "oh that is normal" The work performed was sub-contracted to a company that was not overseen by big bear or there project manager. Now 1 year later we had a roof leak, I climbed in the attic to figure out what was going on and there is a few spot where they filled the holes with calking instead of replacing the rotten wood (that was in the contract) we contacted big bear 3 weeks ago for then to repair there bad work, and still no reply or anyone out to look at the issue even tho they have a workmen "warrenty".

Big Bear Roofing, a dedicated team of very professional people that are passionate about what they do. Michael is knowledgeable in all phases of the build and explained everything in detail before they started. There was no litter or leftover materials in our yard. Every bit of trash, old roofing, new roofing materials containers ...all gone and with no damage to landscaping. The team was extremely quick and correctly installed (pleased even my retired builder husband)! I cannot say enough nice things about Big Bear Roofing. Absolutely the best in the business and local too! Thank you Big Bear Roofing for everything you did for us. I wish you all continued success with future customers!

I must say I dont typically write reviews but these guys are everything they promise and more! I dealt with Tony the project Manager and from the time we met until the job was complete he was everything you could ask for and then some. Professional, efficient, and most of all kept me informed about each step that was to take process. If I had any questions ( which I had alot) he was their to answer them. I highly recommend Big Bear roofing for any roofing needs! Thanks for making the process so simple. Looking forward to my next roof!

Matt Longo came to my house at 7 pm when I found a leak and was leaving on a trip the next morning. That impressed me from the get go. After that, Michael Powers helped me with the process of getting a new roof. He explained everything in depth, taking his time to answer my many questions. Michael was always available for me and stayed in touch throughout the process of getting my new roof and repairing some damaged ceilings. He made it a painless experience, and the new roof looks great. I would definitely recommend Big Bear.

They have come out to the house and assessed the damage to our roof. I have tried to get then to come back out and give me an estimate, called a handful of times but no one has ever called me back. This has been since the hurricane??? Would love to give them the business but I guess they do not want it???
