Planning a conference for 200 plus people is not an easy task when you are planning from the upstate for a conference to be held in Charleston. Past experiences have taught me you never know what youre going to get when you hire a caterer for the first time. I can honestly say that Hamby catering was phenomenal. Great care was provided to ensure we had a great menu within our budget and that we were able to accommodate food allergies and/or nutritional requirements. The Hamby experience was fabulous. They were professional at every turn. The food was delicious and the service top notch. I was very surprised and pleased at how they moved over 200 people through two serving lines in pretty tight quarters in a very timely manner. Thank you Hamby catering for a great experience. A great big thank you to the whole Hamby team! My party was perfect. Everyone had a wonderful time and was beyond impressed by the food that was as delicious as it was beautifully presented. Three of my guests were professional chefs (graduates of CIA), and they all agreed that this was the best catered event they had ever attended, except for the ones that they have catered - of course. Dont you love that? Liz and Lettie were almost invisible as they moved about, keeping the table replenished and used dishes collected. And when they left, everything was perfectly neat and tidy. Hamby Catering & Events handled everything for my daughters wedding at Folly Beach. We had to make last minute changes on the place for wedding and reception due to work on the beach, but Chearl was able to make it perfect without any problems. She listened and made suggestions. The staff that came to the house for the reception were very professional and willing to help out with anything. Everyone raved about the great food and service. I will be handing out there name to anyone looking for a Cater in the Charleston area. They do it all and are very reasonable.

Really Hamby Catering deserves 6 stars! The catered our daughters November wedding and my husband and I can not say enough about their professionalism, attention to details, friendliness of the staff, helpfulness and not to mention the AMAZING food! We wanted a true "Charleston" menu for our guests and we were not disappointed and neither were our guests! We used stations to serve our 200 guests. The Biscuit Bar, Shrimp and Grits, Hamby Farm Stand, Mini Tart Arrangement and the Crab Cakes/Steak Medallions were all amazing, leaving our guests wanting more!

Hamby catered a corporate event I hosted in Charleston at the South Carolina Aquarium. After getting back to Tennessee, all I heard was, "The food that night was amazing." From organizing to pre-planning to menu selection to night-of execution, Hamby was flawless. I seriously have no constructive feedback to give...well...besides MORE BANANA PUDDING, but thats not their fault. I can honestly say the food quality they turned out tasted like it was custom made a few minutes prior for one person. It was all so good. Id hire them again, in a heartbeat!

We used Hambys for a small wedding brunch for about 25 people. We did all the set up and they delivered the food. Brittany did a great job helping get everything ordered and arranged. They arrived a few minutes early and Scott was friendly and professional. We ordered Shrimp and Grits, crab cakes and tomato pies and all of it was outstanding. I didnt have high expectations for the Shrimp and Grits but Im telling you, it was delicious! Would definitely use them again!

Hamby Catering provided the food for a post wedding dinner for 30 people. They made it soooo easy! I called them, chose a menu, gave a credit card, and the food was delivered hot and ready to go at the chosen time. Everything they provided was delicious and plentiful - very upscale and visually appealing. I would highly recommend Hamby Catering for any event and would definitely use them again.

Having held a large number of catered events over the past few years, Hamby is a clear stand-out. One added "extra" -- when the event is over, the clean-up is so complete, it is almost as if the event never happened. This is a first-class operation.

There are so many caterers in the Charleston area, it can be a headache sometimes. Hamby is a Charleston household name, and as well they should be bc they deliver the best food available and a staff to back it up. And lets not forget the Market at Hamby now, you can just pop in and grab some of their famous foods to go!
