This is the my first unfortunate experience with the body shop, went to Dick Dyer Original Body Shop because it was recommended by the insurance company, long story short I just came back after my third visit and still have problems with my car , I am certain many more to come . Paint job really sucks as my van is in three different shades ( original, new plastic painted parts and New Body painted parts) and the answer I get is that’s the best they can do and I have to live with it. In third visit when I told that the 5th door is not aligned properly to the body shop manager, he fail to understand, finally I have to show him how its rubbing and taking of the paint from bumper, also when I showed him the handle is coming off he argued only top portion is coming of and handle is OK, seriously…no shame in trying to blow off the customer as they know that they got the check. I don’t know how other body shop works but hopefully they take pride and try to do decent job and not screw a customer so bad. I will not recommend getting your car to Dick Dyer unless you are satisfied with substandard work and want hassle dealing with arrogant body shop manager.

Over Charged and Under Serviced Hello there and I hope my review can be helpful to you. I went to Dick Dyer for an oil change, tire rotation, ac check, and rear windshield repair. When I pulled in I was helped immediately; however the service took 6 hours. I drove one hour from Augusta, Ga to Columbia, sc just to get my truck taken care of by a Mitsubishi dealership. I arrived at 10 am and wasn’t given my car back until 4pm that afternoon. Different staff members would see me hour after hour still in the waiting room and would try to make lite of the situation by making jokes likeall you need is a uniform and you can start working". Being that I was sick and extremely hungry...I didnt care to make any back. I was charged for things I didnt approve them to fix, even though I asked him if they would let me know before they fixed it; and he assured me. Even though I can’t say everyone experienced what I did that day, I can say that someone has and I am speaking up for them. Just be about your business if you do decide to try them. Be clear and precise as to what you want done and don’t be afraid to ask for prices upfront!

If i could add a negative star I would. They kept my car for 3 weeks after and accident before they even got the estimate and started working on it. They gave me the run around and gave me different quotes several times. The kept switching who I was working with. They told me my car would be ready on a certain day and when I drove 60 min. To get it they said it was not ready. They then took 3 more weeks before getting it to me. The day I finally picked it up I had to bring it to the dealership the same day because there was a loud grinding popping sound when I turned. The dealership said not only were there things wrong with the axle, but the panels that they put over my air bags were the wrong parts. The dealership said that it was a MAJOR safety issue because the panels would have prevented the airbags from deploying if I had another accident. WHATEVER YOU DO.. DONT BRING YOUR CAR HERE!

We selected Dick Dyer Body Shop based off these reviews and the fact that our car was a Toyota 4 Runner. The customer service is severely lacking as we were being sent automated texts that were completely inaccurate. We were sent 2 different texts stating our car was ready when it was not and multiple texts that it was on schedule when it was not. The 4 Runner has been in the shop for over 3 weeks and counting to repair minor damage to the bumper and wheel. Each given repair time keeps passing and new issues are found i.e. problems with fit, tire nor sent out for repair and a different mechanic each phone call with unknown reasons of why delays keep occurring. We are not happy and now question the quality of the repair. Our car was supposed to be ready Friday and now we are into another week. Maybe we will get our car back in less than a month!

Our time spent with you while you fixed our car was up to date informative as well as a pleasant experience. You have a customer for life. Our car is perfectly done. And to to make you laugh a couple blocks from my home a branch hung on the side of the road and sure enough a scratch was done on the same side of the door! a little one thank God and my wife did not get mad at me! I have been to Dick Dyer Body Shop on several occasions and have always had excellent service. Jeff Marshall, the manager, is one of the most service oriented managers I have ever come across. His staff is very well trained and always mindful of my time as a customer. I have recommended Dick Dyer Body Shop to a number of friends and coworks, which I would not have done had I been less than satisfied with the service I received. I would not hesitate to take my vehicle to them for any type of repair service.

Both my wife and I have had occasion to recently use the services of Dick Dyer Body shop. The customer service, timeliness, quality of work, and overall treatment we received was a 10+ on a 10 pt. scale. I was so impressed with the management and staff, that I also purchased my last vehicle from Dick Dyer (I previously bought my cars from another dealership). Based on our experience, we would not consider using anyone else, and would recommend them without hesitation.

My wife had some issues with her Lexus, so I called Jeff Marshall and asked him to look at it. It was late afternoon, but he and his still stayed to analyze the Lexus issue. They checked it and asked if I could leave it overnight and they would have it ready by 10 am. Jeff called me about 9:30 am said it was ready and I had it back to my wife in time for lunch. They did an excellent job and best of all my wife is happy.
