While vacationing in Myrtle Beach and visiting BrookGreen Gardens we discovered our vehicle wouldnt start. The wonderful people at BrookGreen Gardens gave us a jump start and we headed to Auto Zone to test the battery. Auto Zone tested the battery and the alternator and both were iffy. We replaced the battery and Auto Zone referred us to Car Doc. We called Car Doc first thing this morning and talked to Scott. Quoted 366.00 on the phone and 3 hours in and out. He even offered to take us to Garden City Pier while we waited, which we took full advantage of! 3.5 hours later Scott called us to let us know he wasnt completely finished but that he was sending his daughter to come get us and by the time we got there it should be done. He did one final test of the load on the battery before finalizing his work and everything passed with flying colors. The price was exactly as quoted and our vacation was barely affected by something that couldve ruined it completely. Ive never had a garage take such wonderful care of its customers! Highly recommended!

My car just died on me. I went where I bought my battery a few months ago. They replaced it but it would not start. They did not do any mechanical work but recommended Car Doc. I had called the dealer and Sears..both wouldnt even look at my car until after the weekend (this was Friday). I called Car Doc. Scott was wonderful! Very personable and friendly. He told me he would look at my car immediately. I had it towed to his shop and he, indeed, did as promised. He showed me the dead starter he took out and fixed my car within an hour or so. I am thrilled with the experience and the competent service. I will take my car here for all repairs (which I hope are limited). Highly recommended.

The Car Doc - Auto Repair

We had a car that had been sitting for a very long time that needed fixing up. We looked online and liked the fact that Car Doc came to our home, so we called. He was very nice, knowledgeable, and worked hard and fast. He either went to get anything parts he needed or called and had them delivered. It took 3 days and we now have our car back. I thought for sure with all the new problems that kept popping up the bill would have been higher, but it wasnt even a third of what I was expecting to pay out to an auto repair shop that I would have had to go to and drop off the car. I would definitely recommend him and hire him again!!!! Tammy E.

Honest, Reliable, Keep this number handy! Scott Brown with The Car Doc is a the type of mechanic you want regardless if you are a local or a tourist in a jam! We have used The Car Doc three times(various vehicles) and have been extremely pleased. Scott is pleasant, honest, helpful, and works in a timely manner. This morning I found myself of the side of the road while taking my child to school, my husband was out of town so I was at a loss of what to do....Never fear! Scott showed up in less than 20 minutes and had me on my way lightening fast!

Janice and Rudy are great people at car docs , I was stranded 600 miles from home with a bad alternator,. Found them on google called them on the phone and gave my story and they said no problem get it to them and they would take care of me . Had me up and running in an hour charged me a fair price and were nothing but nice while doing the job .makes me feel good to know there are people like them out there that are doing the right thing .

We were in the area on vacation and the van started overheating on our way to watch the solar eclipse. Scott diagnosed the problem, gave an honest estimate, and repaired the vehicle while we enjoyed the beach. He went above and beyond. We couldnt thank him enough for everything! Best part is he repaired it in time for us to travel to the total eclipse. I would highly recommend this business.

Honest and reasonably priced. As a vacationing traveler I suspected a universal joint problem but Scott discovered a drive shaft bearing needing grease. He knew I was vacationing yet did not take advantage of my situation by replacing parts and provided only what was needed to make the repair. I recommend him to anyone looking for an honest mechanic.

Had my A/C surgery a month ago. Post Op therapy going well. Will be there tomorrow morning to have my Vision repaired.(front wiper motor)..... Carrie should get the Car Nurse of the Year award. Great service and Great people.
