I have been a satisfied customer with Meineke until today. I had my car towed to Meineke location #2102 on Blackstock Road in Spartanburg, SC. Upon having my car towed there I called the store to let them know that I was having it towed there. I spoke with Josh and informed him that I thought my starter had gone bad and I wanted an diagnostic done to find the issue. So Josh says alright miss Lattimore we will look into the issue and let you know whats wrong. So about and hour and a half later I spoke with Josh and he tells me that my battery was the issue and that it needed replaced and that he had replaced it and that it would be $240.00. Never did Josh call and tell me what was wrong and ask if I would like them to go ahead with the repair. So I tell Josh that I would rather get my own battery, and he proceeds to tell me that in order to do the diagnostic they had to take a new battery off the self and since they took it off the self it couldnt be put back and that I would have to pay for it. I never told Josh to make the repairs so I didnt feel as if though I should be held accountable for the charge of the battery. As a women I felt like I was taken advantage of and I will never do business with Meineke again.

I called and asked if my lock cylinder could be fixed on my 03 cadillac. Was informed that they are a full service repair shop. After talking to Cadillac i returned my call to Meineke to insure that they could fix the issue. The manager there told me absolutely. Had my car towed up there that morning. That afternoon i called to check progress and was told they were researching it. The next day at lunch I called, the Manager told me that the job was small and should be complete that day. Two hours later i get a call informing me that they could not fix the problem. When i asked could them help me pay to have it towed to cadillac shop, I was informed that its not their problem and that they could charge me for their time researching how to fix my car. So i am out my towing fees to their shop and now to differnent shop, waited two days for this info, and they could charge me. My husband called back to ask why they said they could fix it then couldnt. The manager called me a liar. TOTALLY unacceptable!

I began to go to Meineke a couple of years ago after having some bad experiences with other car care places in the area. Every time that I have been there, the team is always friendly and helpful. What separates them from other places is that they really take the time to explain any problems with the vehicle and not in a way that makes me feel inferior, even though my knowledge with cars is not the best. They have always provided honest and quality work which means a great deal to me because I only have one vehicle and I use it to make long trips back to my home in the Midwest. Since going to Meineke, I have felt confident that my 1997 Bonneville will hold up during the trips. The crew that work at Meineke are people I know I can count on to do the job right!

I went here to get a routine oil change. The "sales" guy said that I needed brakes, rotors, stearing flush, and several other things. Of course I didnt do these due to being used to hearing a list when I come in this place. I took my car to another, unassociated, shop today and was informed that everything I was told was false. I think its terrible to have someone up front trying to get peoples money off of a fake swatch of fluid colors. The man here took me out to my car and showed me right then what my fluids looked like and told me all were perfect or fine. Ill definitely pay a few dollars more for honesty and less stress that I need a million and one things done to my car! Thanks and no thanks.

Ive been coming here every 5,000 to 10,000 miles for an oil change, and Ive never had a complaint. My partner and I have had other services, too, like alignments, brakes, and checkups. Their prices are fair, and their customer service is phenomenal, especially in comparison to other auto shops in the area. Specifically, the manager is really great. As someone doesnt know much about auto mechanics, I appreciate their patience and non-demeaning thoroughness. Also, I signed up for Meineke rewards, and Ive received free service several times.

VERY AWESOME PEOPLE. The two guiys that are very regular there that I spoke with were great and im sure the other guy or 2 is great as well. Josh is the main guy there and he is a very very honest, hand on type of person and they did extremely good work on my Silverado. They went above and beyond just changing my oil and fixing some brake work, they pulled out 85% of a huge dent on the side of my truck just to help me out. I trust them very much and if you are in the Spartanburg area i could not recommend a better place that I know of.

Well Done.I know quite a bit about how brakes work but I do not have the proper tools to fix them here in the city. I knew that something was going wrong with my brakes but I did not know who to trust. I choose Meineke because my friend recommended them. He wasright! The boys at Meineke showed me what was wrong and gave me a couple options as how to fix it. They knew that money was tight for our family and shot us a great deal. I would highly recommend them for great service and price. These guys are awesome!

I went here several times to have things fixed; new tires, brakes, etc. On my last visit which was last summer they told me I needed my motor mounts replaced right away, they said my engine was going to fall out of my car? Well, a month later I took my car to another auto shop, that guy looked my motor mounts over and said nothing was wrong with them. He said they didnt need to be replaced at all. I know he was being honest because if they needed replacement he would have gotten the job.

Bunch of crooks!!!!! Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. I went in because there was a bad vibration in the front of my truck. They looked at my truck for less than 2 minutes and told me it needed $800-$900 worth of repair. He said he could do it for around $600????? I took it to another shop, the only thing wrong was a warped tire.

Went for an oil change and they for got to tighten the cap. My oil drained so quickly that in a week my engine locked. I had to buy a new engine. When i took to to them they tried to cover it up by knocking it loose and chaging the oil agiain with a new filter as if it dodnt happen. The car only ran for a week after.

Payed over $160 for oil, windshield wipers, and a complete checkup to get rid of a check engine light... all they did was reset the light, windshield wipers were not attached properly, and the oil is probably maple syrup. Very bad value for service, find a local shop instead.
