careful when you sign up, they will take money out of your account whether you have it in your bank or not, it will overdraft if you dont have the money. beware that in fine print they have an annual fee that costs 40 dollars and it will also take out the 20 dollars that month so if you werent prepared to lose 60 dollars or expecting it they will take it, it will depend on your sign up date when the annual fee gets taken. I live in union so its a 45 minute drive and I want to cancel because of the distance, I dont want to pay the buy out though because im currently saving up to move states. I work 12 hour shifts 60 hours a week and if I was to drive to the gym I could only sleep 4-5 hours a day with just a couple of hour work out (I didnt realize that till I had signed up), the massage chair feels like someone jabbing you in the back as hard as they can with a broom handle and you have to ask for their coins to use them, it feels like youre begging for shillings or something. Just read all the fine print, its nice and relatively empty most of the times that I go so thats a plus but getting out of the contract will take a lawyer. I have to hand-write a letter and bring it up to them or get a notary to stamp it and send it to them first class saying why I want to quit, or have a medical reason or the location be too far away for a drive (I think 40 miles away or more).

I joined the Spartanburg Planet Fitness with the $20/mo. membership ($1 sign up fee) on a 1-year commitment, and have been overall very pleased with my decision. The atmosphere is very casual, almost like an exercise "bar" with a row of TVs in the middle to enjoy while using the treadmill or eliptical machines. There are stations for abs, legs/back, and full body as well as free weights (all self-contained with safety guards and self-spotting locks) and resistance machines for every muscle group. [PARENTS BEWARE:] The General Manager, Lisa, is very difficult to work with, and not very accommodating if you need to bring a child to the gym with you. They dont allow anyone under 13 w/o adult supervision and no one but the black card member can sit in the sofa area. Theyre open 24/7 with a trainer available 8am-6pm. The $20/mo. membership includes access to the massage and tanning area with both chair and water massage as well as multiple tanning booths and a Beauty Angel booth for skin tone and relaxation. With all of these services at only $20/mo. ($10/mo. membership available as well w/o guest or massage/tanning privileges), there really is no excuse not to join a gym. I absolutely love it and am planning to go at least 3 times/week.

Incredible price, excellent and abundant machines , excellent staff , clean and well-maintained Facilities including large restrooms and showers, huge building, $10 per month membership is crazy cheap and for only $10 more you are a Black Card Club member and receive tons of benefits such as HydroMassage -- tanning booths -- you can bring a friend to work out with you free of charge as many times as you want i.e. unlimited visits without paying any fees. Anyone expecting any further amenities such as a whirlpool or swimming pool at this crazy low price are crazy themselves and should become a patient of a good psych doc. I know this review Probably sounds like it was written by a marketer or staff member but I am the real deal and Ive been training in gyms - 7 or 8 around the country and British Columbia for 40 years now in addition to 44 years martial arts. This is an authentic and real review by a very satisfied customer who has trained in two Spartanburg SC locations for years and Snellville Georgia as well. ***Positives for all:clean,plenty of equipment,great staff,free classes,tons of parking,like 10 tvs,drinks to buy,and a front lobby with tables and chairs. ***Positives for BlackCard members:massages,tanning,discounts,plush lounge with couches,and ability to use multiple gyms ***Negatives:the ceiling leaks bad.so when it rains,the floor is covered in water and buckets. ALL IN ALL I LOVE THIS GYM AND ITS AMAZING VALUE!

Ten bucks a month and they leave you alone to do your workout. Crowd seems to want to get in and get out so no annoying gym small talk. I love it. Also I dropped my car keys in the stair climber machine and the guy behind the counter helped me get them out for a half hour. Great place great service great price.

Friendly ambiance, a lot of space for a great workout. A lot of machine to workout out in. There are locker rooms,dressing rooms, showers, tanning beds(black card is required for use), massage rooms(black card is required), etc.

Staff is helpful. They walk around and make sure your OK. Answer questions. They do a good job of keeping it clean considering the volume of people in and out of the facility. Need brighter lights in the parking lot.

The gym is very clean and is stocked with a good number of machines/equipment. Theres usually no wait to use equipment. Price is very low. No sauna or steam room though! Otherwise a very good gym and a great deal.

Its not a real gym. It will have to do until I can find a real one to go to. Apparently, they pride themselves on kicking people out for working out "too" hard.

Great place for beginners trying to get fit. Bodybuilders can also work out there, they just have to get a little creative. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

awesome level four tanning beds...but they only allow 8 mins instead of 9 though!!!! beauty enhancement machine.... massage...great gym altogether
