I am a 36 year old stay at home mommy, and I admit, I have an addiction to beauty treatments and days spent at the spa, therefore I have searched all over Clarkville and always ended up going all the way down for Nashville for quality service....this has now stopped...! I have been going to AQUA for about a year now and have had SEVERAL different services done by several of their employees. True, there is a little "stuck up" vibe by one of the stylist, but I have never been worked on by her therefore I cant give an honest review of her work (which in all honestly what you go to a salon for right? Quality of their work!) perhaps that is the person that some of these negative reviews are speaking of. Sad that one bad apple can spoil the bunch... :( What I can do though is tell you that AMANDA, while labeled as a "junior stylist" is the BEST that I have ever been to in Clarksville! (and I have been to quite a few...quite a few even just at AQUA as one of their stations seems to have a high turn over!) I have never been happier with my color and highlights (she takes her time to make sure they are just perfect), she has never done anything less than a wonderful job on cutting my hair, and she can do a blow out like no one else in the business! She is my go-to girl and everytime I am stopped and asked about who does my hair, I always suggest they go to AQUA, because they all do great work, but if they can get in with AMANDA, they are guaranteed to be thrilled with her work! I am VERY picky about my eyebrows...VERY, VERY, VERY PICKY...and VIKKI is now the ONLY person I will let near them. If we end up getting PCSd someplace else, she will STILL be my go-to aesthetician and will work my travel plans around having my waxing done by her! She does a perfect job, is quick and professional, and is super sweet and always a joy to talk with as you are having a waxing service done! How many people can say they actually look forward to having their waxing done? I CAN!! Because VIKKI rocks!! I have had a few facials done in my life, honestly not a ton, perhaps about a dozen or so, because I have super sensitive, dry, fragile skin and usually come out in pain and looking like a burn vicitim....but I had a facial done by COURTNEY that was absolutely wonderful! She really knows her skin care products and can pin point exactly what you need in a milli-second! My skin was soft, smooth with barely any irritation after she was finished and for about a week afterwards! She is also so friendly that the time I spent on her table seemed to just fly by as we talked! I have had nothing but stellar experiences here and while I understand that some people may have their bad days, and a bad experience once in awhile, this is completely out of the norm for the crew at AQUA and I just wanted to share reviews from someone who has been to the other "high end" salon/spa in the area and wasnt treated NEARLY as well as I am every time I walk through the doors at AQUA. Im looking forward to venturing over to the MED side of the medspa in the near future!!

OVERCHARGED ME LIKE CRAZY! $200 for an all over color when they told me $80 in the beginning. I was a new customer to Aqua so I called first to ask how much an All Over Color would be and they stated $80. That seemed reasonable so I decided to go for it. The salon was very nice and the staff pretty friendly. There was a new secretary training and my hair stylist was in her first week at Aqua as well. She was nice and I was very satisfied at the end with my hair. THEN I went to pay. The secretary in training was just about to finish ringing me up when another women (who was training her) stated to wait because they had to use "extra dye". So my hair stylist was asked how much "extra dye" she had to use on my hair. And she was unable to state how much. It seemed like they just came up with an amount and randomly charged me. They were all sitting at the desk looking at the computer and then a few minute later came up with a number. I ended up paying almost $200 for an ALL OVER COLOR. Not a balayage or full foil, or even partial foil! But an ALL OVER COLOR. More than DOUBLE what they had originally told me an all over color would cost. I have pretty long hair, just about level to my diaphragm. But not once did anyone mention any "extra dye" needing to be used because of my hair length or what the cost would be for this "extra dye". Cause believe me if I would have known, I wouldve walked straight out that door before paying $200 for an ALL OVER COLOR. I just moved from Seattle and went to one of the top salons there (Gene Juarez) and I can get a Balayage which requires way more technique with very experienced stylists for $200. I would be afraid to ask how much Aqua charges for a Balayage... Dont get me wrong, my hair stylist at Aqua did a great job. But she was only in her first week there and usually new stylists do not charge that much for their services until they build a clientele. She told me she had been cutting hair for over 30 years but had been cutting mens hair for some time at Bos near the military base. Regardless I did like my hair and I was going to RESCHEDULE my hair cut and I mean reschedule because my stylist did not have time to get to my haircut. BUT THANK GOD cause I probably would have ended up spending over $300 if I got a haircut with them. Its a shame because Melissa did a good job.

My first impression of Aqua was positive. The decorating and style of the place was very modern and trendy. I was greeted the moment I walked in, offered a drink and then after a brief wait, my stylist came to get me. They took me to the bar, discussed color options and went to mixing. After that everything went relatively smoothly. Thats not to say this was a 10+ rating. I have my complaints. 1) The amount of gossiping and crap-talking that went on at the front desk and in the styling area was UNBELIEVABLE. How completely unprofessional. 2.) This salon is not made for women of a larger size. Meaning, if youre a plus size woman, the furniture is not comfortable much less equipped to handle you. I felt like I was going to fall out of the shampoo chair - and Im not what you would call huge, Im average. The reception seating was so bad that I opted just to stand. And we wont even talk about the tiny stools at the bar. But it wasnt just the furniture.. it was the people in this establishment, several times in my visit did I get pointed at, and laughed at. And no, Im not paranoid by any standards, I could hardly care less what was said about me - from a professional point of view, it was uncalled for. Im happy, healthy and confident.. I dont need someone elses approval, much less a salon full of women with nothing better to do than talk garbage about people. However, I will say that despite the atmosphere, the bickering, the total unprofessional bullshit - I did like my color and style and my stylist was nice for the most part. I wont, however, be going back.
