First of all -- if I could give them less stars -- I WOULD! We came in at 315 this afternoon to have my hair trimmed off my neck (I have a short bob -- it literally took 4 min and she missed an entire line of hair) and to have my moms hair colored and cut. It took the girl over an hour and fifteen minutes to apply the color. Once she put my mom under the dryer, she waxed my eyebrows, didnt clean my face and didnt apply aloe -- like we had discussed. My mom sat under the dryer until the timer turned off. At this point she was cutting someone elses hair -- and said my mom could just sit a min. She checked my moms hair -- said it was a little warm from the dryer and she could wait there a few more minutes to have her hair cool down. I have NEVER, EVER heard of someone saying this after being under the dryer. Basically, she needed to finish this other customer first while my mother sat there. Honestly, I have heard better things about this place -- but my experience here, not so good. I have been to plenty of salons all over the world and the customer you have is the customer you work. If you cannot complete a new cut/wax/etc with someone in the down time, do not start it. This is unsatisfactory and honestly horrible customer service if you ask me. We have now been here over 2.5 hours and she still has to put the toner in, let it sit, wash it out, cut, and then dry/starighten my moms hair. So 3.5 hours later (my guesstimation) we will be done. Additinally, I am watching her jerking my moms head around as she brushes. Like seriously, wtf?????????!!!!!!!!!! I will never return to this salon again. ******update -- two hour after leaving and my moms hair air dried and has been fried from the color being left on too long... Not to mention, the colors that she asked for, well, they look nothing like what she had requested. This is not the first time that my mom has gotten this style -- in fact this is the same style and colors that she normally does. So for my hair line trim ($7), my eyebrows, and the Fed up UNFINISHED cut and color job on my mom -- the total out the door was $110!!!!!!****** Heather is a very SLOW worker and horrible stylist!!!!!

I am visiting TN and needed a perm. The young lady I usually see has taken time off to care for family members, so I needed to find a new place to go. The reviews for Envy seemed okay, so I called. I asked if they did perms, roller sets and had someone that could back comb my hair. The young lady that answered the phone didnt know, so she put me on hold to check. I really appreciated her going the extra mile. She said yes, they had someone that could do that. When i arrived, my stylist was behind. My appointment started 30-40 min late. No problem, things happens. But when she finished with my perm, she ran her fingers thru it and asked if I wanted her to put hairspray on it. I told her I want a roller set and a back comb. She proceeds to tell me they dont do that! I told her I needed a finished hair style. She did not offer to use a curling iron or blow dryer to finish my hair. I would have paid extra. I dont have an opinion about the perm yet. The staff was very nice, but it is basically a place for hair cuts and colors. If you have an event and need a finished look, go elsewhere. And dont trust what you are told on the phone. I travel alot and most everywhere I go, a set or curling iron style is included with your perm. I am very disappointed!

Cannot believe they can run a salon that looks like this!! Im disgusted by all the hair on the floor, dust and hair on the styling carts, employees that leave for smoking breaks and come back to do hair smelling like ash trays without washing their hands first!! I also not once but twice saw a stylist drop their comb while doing a clients hair on the floor and instead of putting the comb in sterlizing solution they continued to use the comb on the clients hair!! The lighting in this salon is very dark and they often will ask that clients come outside or go into the bathroom to see what their hair looks like in natural light!! I had the worst experience at this salon and although the price is excellent, I would just like to warn everyone YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!!!! The staff and owner are very unprofessional, often talking on cell phones while working with clients or talking with friends that come into the salon. I would not recommend this place to anyone!!!!

I refer everyone I know to this salon, not only because of the excellent service, but the price has always been right. I have been going for a year now changing up my looks and each one I have loved. I had long hair put into layers, dyed, and styled for $55. It seems that they keep the prices around $50 even for short hair, but it is worth the amazing service. I love redken hair dye, which is what they use, because it always leaves my hair shiny. The stylists at the salon also remember everyone that comes in, which makes each person feel welcomed. My last hair cut was just some reshaping and thinning, hair dye, and style, which came out amazing.

I scheduled an appointment, slightly nervous because it was going to be my first time going here. I felt some reassurance because my cousin said it was great. When I get there, they "forgot" to write my name down for my scheduled appointment. After showing them where I texted back and forth with someone from the store, and then showing me their phone also, all they said was "Sorry" in a way that proved they didnt care. I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone, and I generally give people the benefit of the doubt. Terrible customer service. Pick anywhere but here.

First highlight with Lauren (the owner) was great. The next 4 highlight and lowlight experiences were horrible (with Lauren). I say 4 because thats how many I got within 6 weeks. My hair went from pretty highlights to green, gray and orange with polka dots mixed in. She tried fixing it each time and each time it got worse. Waste of money and had to spend $150 getting it fixed by a real professional. Sweet person though.

I searched the world over when we moved to town. I was going to Nashville and paying $30+ for a Mens wash/cut and I was signing a butt load of autographs and stuff. I found Envy on a referral by a nail tech to my wife. Envy is my place now! Its newly remolded. Lauren is a hair guru in my opinion. Although Im pretty sure shes bagging my trimmed locks and selling them on Craigslist.

Great salon and very knowledgeable stylists. I wish I could rate this a 10. The new location is just what downtown needed. I love Kristen Taylors ability to work with me and all my needs. She takes her time and makes sure that I am happy before I walk out the door. Kristen also does fab work on extensions. I wouldnt trust anybody else to "beat my wig"!
