First of all, let me say, I LOVE THIS PLACE! This is my oasis, a place where my entire family can go to enjoy being together and also to find solo time. Let me review all the places/departments Ive had experiences with: Recruitment: Professional and fair. I didnt feel pressured to sign up but they offered a fair price for the services and programs offered. Jay Compton still remembers my name and is always smiling. Childcare: The director of the childcare program called me personally the day I was going to bring my two kids (ages 6 and 1 1/2 yrs) to ask if I had any questions. The program area is incredibly clean and the offerings are varied and age-appropriate. The people in the center are very professional, but also warm and caring to my girls. Great program. Swimming Lessons: I can not say enough good things about this program. The Director of the Swimming School/Pool is wonderful. I believe his name is Liam. He is so professional and very organized, yet also very great to work with. I appreciate the guidelines he sets for swimmer readiness and the way he manages his staff/team. He clearly has gathered the best in staff for teaching and life-guarding. Love this group of people. Climbing wall: Again, wow. The team that leads the climbing wall is great and very well-eduated on climbing. They help newbies with some basic climbing skills without being overwhelming. Its clear they want people to have fun on the wall. There are many different levels of climbing... and everyone is encouraged to try it! Also good to note: Lifetime truly cares about its facilities and clearly does good upkeep. Womens bathrooms/showers/towel/steam room: Again. Very clean and quite luxurious feeling. The bathrooms never feel overcrowded and they are kept very clean. Towels are always ready and constantly being replenished. Outside pool: Oh how I love the outside pool. Lots of places for people to rest in the shade or soak up the sun on comfortable lounging chairs. Staff take great pride in keeping the pool area clean. And the slide is a great bonus for the kids and adults alike. Feels like were at an exclusive resort! Deli/cafe: Great selection of food and the kids menu is perfect. Prices are fair and menu very appealing. Thanks Lifetime... you certainly have all the family needs covered! Spa/Salon: My daughter just had her hair cut here... and they did a great job. Also the selection of products is great: Bumble and Bumble and Aveda. Need I say more? Yoga: Instruction was top. So relaxing and again the studio made you feel like you at an exclusive club. Floors very clean and teachers incredibly warm and friendly. This is our familys favorite place to be. But dont listen to me, experience it for yourself!

My experience with Life Time Fitness of Collierville has been extremely negative, so much so that I have decided to share my story. As you will notice, they are very aggressive in their sales tactics to get you to sign up for a membership. Thats normal, I would assume that from a typical fitness center, the problem is trying to terminate your membership. I was located in Memphis for a brief stint with my job and I needed a place to work out for a few months. The salesperson convinced me to sign up to a membership, explaining that I could cancel at anytime, no questions asked. Being a naive customer, I thought this sounded perfect. I used the gym for a few weeks when I was unexpectedly moved to a different location in another part of the country for my job. I immediately called Life Time and asked that they cancel my membership, simple right? Wrong! They refused to cancel my membership saying that I had to do it in person (which I think is ridiculous). That wouldnt work though, because I had already moved and was nowhere near Memphis. So a month or so later, I called again and explained how I was no longer in the area and couldnt come in to cancel my membership but was still being charged. They informed me at that time that I would continue to get charged until I could send a certified personal letter with my signature stating that I wanted to terminate my membership. Even still, after receiving my letter, I would be continue to be charged for 30 days. I tried to call the center several times to explain my situation and ask for someone to just cancel the membership, but to no avail. The people in the management office at this location did not budge and showed no sense of urgency to do what was right. My advice, stay away. While its a huge gym, you can get a great workout and several other places who might actually treat you like the paying customer that you are, not just another membership and source of $50/month.

Appearances can be deceiving! This gym has the worst business ethics I have ever experienced. The manager is never available. The sales team is full of sht and the staff is incompetent. When this gym first opened it was fabulous...but it has since been the base for multiple robberies. Lockers and Cars. Half the showers are always broken. The pool rules are RIDICULOUS! There was a man in the day care arrested for fondling a minor girl. They make tons of shiny promises that they do not keep then stick it to you once you realize how crappy this place really is. This place is where the saying came from "things are not always what they seem..appearances can be deceiving. This gym looks upscale but is beyond ghetto inside (the staffs attitudes and lack of over all training, equipment not working properly, broken showers, towels not being available in the Summer, people making out or having sex in the spas and hot tubs and family showers, break ins of lockers and cars. Omni Fitness is opening at the old prairie life location right across poplar and I hope they offer a new venue worth going to. Family Membership is $60 including childcare! At lifetime ours was $130 a month...yea..no thanks.

They pretend to be in the fitness business. But all they are doing is selling a bunch of policies that make it look like a upscale gym and then hide behind all those policies, so you wont ever be able to use it for much more than the weight room. Pool hours are crazy restricted, their spa is nothing but a nice hangout for employees, they dont care about customers at all. And if you have an issue, they will repeat the words "Sorry, but those are our policies" over and over and over until you are ready to commit a terrorist like act. Dont get fooled by their nice and shiny look. As others mentioned before, staff is mostly incompetent (which is most likely not their fault, but a lack of training). Avoid if you can. I paid almost $200 to learn that the hard way because I wanted to cancel after 5 weeks and 4 miserable out of 5 visits during that time instead of their 14 day grace period. And to get away with that and not paying another $160 (which I was told I would have to) I had to spend another half day there trying not to get violent against some of their self proclaimed customer service reps. One actually mocked me because of my German accent.

My child is 6 months old and often attends the kids center in collierville, TN, on today 10/23/15 he was attacked by an one year old child, with bruises and scratches covering his face! My child can not walk or talk or do anything for that matter without an adult allowing it. When he was dropped off I was asked if he can be in the kids part and I felt comfortable seeing that she was standing up and said she would be holding him while they were in there and it was only a couple other kids in there. DESPITE it being FOUR or more adults working in the activity center each one of them failed my son. He was only in there for an hour and 15 minutes and for almost $100 a month it should be a safe and secure environment BUT IT IS NOT! On top of that this is the SECOND time that an incident has occurred involving my son the first one was when he was given another infants bottle, resulting in him developing thrush in his mouth which he has never had before then!!!! And no one ever took the time to follow up! We will never be back there!
