I can see from the other reviews that Im not the first one to discover how wonderful the property manager, Bernice Johnson, is! I had originally intended to stop by several storage places in the city to compare prices. Public Storage was our first stop, and because of Bernice I didnt even bother trying anywhere else. She immediately showed us an available unit that she felt would accommodate my things, and gave us advice for how to position everything to make the most out of the space (maybe thats obvious to some, but I truly appreciated her input!). She answered all of our questions and we were in and out fairly quickly. The facilities are very clean and well-maintained. I had planned to spend a large chunk of the afternoon comparing places, so it was great to check it off my list so quickly. Highly recommend this place!

My experience with Public Storage was great because of one individual who takes special pride in her job. The facility was clean and climate-controlled, and mostly very well managed. Like any storage place, it started cheap and went up every year, but I got payment reminder voice mails from Bernice like clockwork every month. And though I will not miss paying that bill, I will miss those voice mails. Bernice goes above and beyond and made the entire experience, especially move out easier and less stressful. I had pretty good experiences with Public Storage overall, as they are a good, stable company with good customer service. But I can recommend this particular location because of Bernice who is a constant example of taking pride and special care in what you do.

Has improved. Stored there twice over multiple years. First time in 2004 had a corner unit. Had to put plastic tarp over entire stall to prevent leaves and water from getting in unit. Yes, leaves blew in through roof top vent. Rainwater seeped into unit on floor ruining all boxes on the floor. Public storage response was nil. I believe they finally fixed the roof in 2009. Rented a large unit this year in "conditioned" section. Was good. Stuff was protected. I think they could use more de-humidifying in this section. My compliments and kudos to onsite Manager Bernice Johnson who was always most helpful, courteous and considerate. She always accommodated all my needs and made renting this storage unit a very good experience. Top scores for Bernice.

The location on Front St is very handy for our company off site document storage. We frequently access the storage unit during the normal business hours, and always can depend on Ms. Bernice Johnson there smiling and ready to answer any questions we may have. The facility is very nice and clean and very well lit. Ms. Bernice can be seen working diligently to maintain a super clean environment. Her knowledge of the business is vast. She is also extremely professional when helping customers, yet friendly. Using the storage unit at Public has been great for our limited office space.

When our credit card number was stolen and we wanted to change our auto-bill, the national billing office wanted to charge a $25 fee to change the billing over the phone! The location where our unit is said my husband would have to come in person to change it. It was raining and my husband is disabled, so he drove to the closest location instead. Bernice Johnson at the Front Street location was very understanding and helped get our account all straightened out very quickly. I wish all locations had such good customer service as the Front Street location!

Helpful & Considerate: My local business used this for years and was helpfully informed about usage and options to extend/change units. In preparing to downsize, Bernice helped in changing units and cleaning things up. It is good as always in professional storage to get things wrapped properly as dust does accumulate, but I was helped in finding cleaners and getting right products to clean up the hastily stored materials. Id recommend it for short or long term storage in quality space and service.

Moved in first weekend February 2014 and had great customer service from Mrs. Bernice. She helped with picking out a unit based on the description of the size home I recently moved from. She communicated regularly as needed and coordinated the move with my moving company to make sure that everything ran smooth for my weekend move-in. The lot, units and drive are always clean and the loading docks/ramps are extremely useful as well. Would highly recommend to others-ask for Mrs. Bernice!...

I called around the city to find storage for my furniture. Looked up Public Storage in downtown Memphis, and met a great property manager there, Ms. Bernice, who was excellent!!! She made the process of renting a unit smooth and easy, and I was even able to rent a unit on a monthly special for $1. This is a climate controlled facility, Dont waist your time looking anywhere else, go straight to Public Storage on S. Front St. in downtown Memphis and ask for Ms. Bernice!

There is nobody in the Mid-South that does customer service like the great Mrs. Bernice. From set-up to move-out every interaction was approached with a five-star white glove mentality. She simply cannot be beat and this property is lucky to have her running the show. To the owners, your property is in top shape because of her. Speaking on behalf of Havana Mix Cigars at 250 Peabody Place in Downtown Memphis, This Public Storage location has been nothing short of spectacular. The manager has been a pleasure to work with. She takes very good care of us at Havana Mix and the space we have there for storage. The space is well controlled when it comes to temperature and maintained safely. Great place to use for storage.
