I am currently renting 2 units at this location. I have only been there a week so I cant really comment on the whole experience yet but my interaction with the staff has definitely been above par. Everyone is EXTREMELY friendly, accommodating and efficient. Two issues arouse when I was moving in over a weekend when the office isnt open, 1) an alarm was going off. I told the staff about it on Monday and the staff seemed genuinely concerned and instantly the office manager was making calls to figure out what happened (really efficient !!!). 2) It was really hot the day I was moving. I went looking for a vending machine and caught Deborah (the on-site property manager) in the back yard of her on-site home. I scared her and explained my situation. SHE WAS AMAZING!!!! She invited me into her home to cool off for a minute and she proceeded to give me 3 ice cold bottles of water. She wouldnt even allow me to pay for them. Deborah went above and beyond and I must thank her again.

To be blunt I didnt have high expectations of a storage facility. It was easy to rent from the manager, Debra (I think it was) and she was extremely friendly. Rates were competitive and I was only renting on a short term basis. While out of town on vacation, they ran my card for my monthly rent and it came up stolen (which should have sent up a red flag, because they had used it in months prior.) When I arrived back in town, I received a call from an employee name Sonya---or something like that. I guess I answered the phone a little too early because all I heard was "If you dont want to pay your damn bill, Im not going to make ya." I hung up. My card had been deamed stolen because I had charges in several cities in a short period of time... I WAS ON VACATION! I paid the bill within a few days and removed my things shortly after. Talk about customer service. Debra should think about hiring employees on her level. That woman makes her look bad.

This is a central, convenient location with good security and decent cleanliness; however, the new manager isnt representing the company very well right now. In his overzealousness to go by the book, he has forgotten how important it is to maintain a professional, friendly, and above all, POSITIVE attitude when communicating with customers, especially new ones. The day after I rented my unit, which took an inordinate amount of time, I received a rude, aggressive voice message from him about placing a lock on my new unit. 24 hours goes by and youre calling a new customer as if they have foreclosed on or vandalized a storage unit? This guy needs to go back to entry level training. He doesnt seem to have the usual friendly, customer-oriented professionalism apparent at other Extra Space facilities.

Awesome Experience!!!!! Union Ave@ Danny Thomas are the Best!!! I had a move planned 8/29/15 and the place I was going to use as storage was destroyed hours before my movers arrived. I called extra space storage and was told she would make my day better. The customer service rep made my reservation and as soon as I hung up with her Matt called me and told me I could come in right away or wait until my move. I went right away. Matt showed me my unit and lease options were easy. Matt and Shandrika are professional and very nice...They made my stress go away. Thank you so very much!

Last week while preparing to move my items into storage for the first time Erin Eastin helped me and was fantastic! During a very stressful time for me she made me feel confident in moving my items to storage and made the entire process hassle free. She was so kind to take her time while I looked at pictures of my belongings to figure if I had chosen the correct storage size. From the moment I entered this place of business she had a smile on her face and exhibited great customer care! I rarely leave a review but I must explain to you my experience with this storage facility. You have an employee named Erin who is HEAD AND SHOULDERS better in customer service than anyone I have encountered in many years. I walked into your office very upset about an abrupt move and was in tears. Erin not only took the time to explain everything to me, she took the time to come around the counter and hug me. I will always do business with your storage facility and will refer everyone I know to your business because of ERIN. She is absolutely wonderful!!!!

At times I doubt that angels exist in this current age. Today I was fortunate to encounter two, Robyn and Erin. This dynamic duo added the "FREE" to my at times stressful transition making it completely "stressFREE." They looked out for me as though I was an employee. Personable and professional. I usually dont write reviews because im skeptical, this was worth doing because they are more than deserving. More than 5 stars facilities and service. This is the only place to store your valubales. Dont look any further.

Every time I have been a customer at Extra Space on union (38103), I get treated right and always end up with the best representative. A few years back I had Ms. Deborah and she was wonderful! I came back looking for her but she was at a different location. Thats when I met Cierra and OMG, she is so amazing! They need to promote her with a raise and have her to train others that how professional she is. If I ever need storage space again I will be back. Thank you Extra Space for hiring them, from Mr & Mrs Ealy!

This facility is exceptionally clean and I feel my belongings are secure. The service is exceptional with the staff available, knowledgeable and friendly. This facility is conveniently located and is easy to get in and out with your vehicle. The price for my storage unit was competitive. The only problem I had was the light in my storage unit was out and they were supposed to fix it before I moved in but they did not. Overall I would recommend Extra Space Storage to anyone needing storage space.

Extremely impressed with the Customer Service I received from Cierra. She very thoroughly explained all of the options, so I was fully aware of what to expect. When I went in to sign the contract, she was patient with me as I am "one of those people" who like to read everything before I sign it! Ive already started filling my storage unit and not only do I feel like my items are safe, but I also feel safe as I come and go. The grounds are clean and quiet.

I have used Extra Space Storage since August 2015, after moving to Memphis from Chicago. The support staff have always been pleasant, and the facility is well-maintained. Most recently I have had the opportunity to meet the assistant manager (I think her name is Cierra). She was very efficacious and knowledged in reviewing my account, and appeared to have established a most respectful rapport with the other customers who were also in the office.
