I scheduled an appointment for my daughter with Claire two months ago. I then called a month ago to reschedule it do to a graduation celebration. When I called to reschedule this appointment the person who did it had to be told three times I wanted it on Sunday the 22nd of May at which time she gave me the time of 12:15. I drove 45mins to Murfreesboro and arrive 15mins early. Just to be told her appointment got put on Monday May 23rd at 12:15. I told them I would not have drove this far for the wrong day and they told me , Claire was already booked for today and basically there was nothing they could do other then do her hair tomorrow. I told them I work for a living and I could not bring her to a hair salon on a Monday! The receptionist then stated they could split here time between two different hair stylists. Are you kidding me who does that...just in the off chance it comes out wrong they get to blame each other and nothing gets fixed. Plus one persons technic is not someone elses. I booked with Claire and that is who I wanted. So there final effort to fix the problem was to reschedule for a month out..um no because my daughters in summer camp by then. They basically offered no reasonable solution and didnt care to remedy the situation. Basically my daughter and I were punished for their lack of responsibility for their employees idiotic ability to do her job! I would NOT recommend this establishment to anyone wanting to have your hair done in a professional atmosphere!

Very upset with this salon. Just moved here from up north. Have had our hair done by numerous Aveda salons from New York to Ohio. After paying $300. For a brilliant red for my daughters hair, which faded completely out in one week...I was told that it was my daughters hair that was at fault. I was assured that they have never, ever had this problem before with their color and that my daughters hair was not healthy and that is why the color faded. I was told that I was to wait two weeks and maybe her hair would be healthy enough to take the coloring but they could not guarantee what it would look like. This is not the first time that she has had red color on her hair, but it is the first time that she has had it fade in less than one week. Not quite sure how you get away with blaming the customer for inadequate results. I have an appointment in another week to get my own hair done...not quite sure where this leaves me. Not even an "Im Sorry!" Extremely disappointed!

I cant speak for all of the stylists here, but the last girl I got had a bad attitude. She was incredibly pushy about services I had no interest in and refused to listen to me about what services I actually wanted, she just kept pushing the most expensive treatments they had. I used to get a cut and highlights here a few years back with another girl who charged me $120 for both which I thought was fair. However, the new stylist I was given insisted she would only perform services that would cost me $300 so I refused and left. I wasnt about to spend that much money on a look I didnt even want. Nothing has changed since last time Ive been there, my hair length, color, etc are exactly the same so I have no idea why she felt entitled to rip me off. All I can say is I will never be back, Ive never felt so uncomfortable in my life.

I was charged $255 for a TRIM and a highlight update, apparently because my hair is thick. I was specific about my long and curly hair when I made the appointment, and each time I asked for clarification on price I was told that it would "just depend." I have gotten my hair done many times at aveda salon in other cities, and at much nicer salons, and never paid more than $100 for a full cut and full color. I was so embarrassed to be so shocked when I heard the price after my appointment was already over, and to have to hand over $255 for what I anticipated to be an affordable haircut by an actual professional, not a level 2 student. Will not be back.

I guess you pay for the name and not much quality. I will say the first time I went the same girl (that did my hair 2nd time too) did a great job so Im leaving 2 stars. The free services offered (hand massage, water, coffee, magazine, tablet) were interesting, but I really just wanted my first time getting highlights to go well. Unfortunately they were awful. The highlights were very brassy and very symmetrical. So because Im an awkward duck, I thanked the girl while holding back tears, payed (a lot of money), tipped and set another appointment.

I drive to Onu from Nashville. I have for years and will continue to do so for years probably. In addition to using Aveda products which seem to treat my hair the best and keep it healthy, the staff remains up-to-date and are savvy in their use of color, cuts and products (shampoo, conditioner, styling products, makeup, etc.) to optimize my natural assets. Meaning, I dont end up looking artificial....just simply maximized. They do the same for my friends, I refer family/friends to them all the time and they can do the same for you!!!

My first, but not last, visit was amazing! I found the whole experience to be just amazing. Stevie was my stylist. From start to finish she explained what and why she was doing the steps, what products would help me get the best result and was super knowledgeable. I loved all the extra touches that made me feel special and pampered. I left the salon looking and feeling beautiful! I definitely recommend ONU Salon to everyone. Also beneficial with my hectic schedule was signing up for text appointment reminders!

I dont live in this area and I found ONU by searching for David, who had given me my most favorite short hair cut ever... I didnt make an appointment and, of course, David was busy upon my arrival, but when I explained what I wanted Justin said he could help me. I LOVE this cut and would recommend this salon to anybody! No complaints at all... and now I can vouch for two of the hair stylists there personally. Thanks Justin! -Eppie

I called ONU Salon about getting my hair done for prom. We talked about a specific time and a specific date and I assumed they had it set. They asked me to email them pictures of what I wanted to make sure they could do it so I did this the next day. When I got an email back, they informed me that they no longer had any openings available when I already discussed booking my time with them. I would not recommend this salon.

Meh. I am happy to pay for a quality cut, however that is not what I received. I was scheduled with Amanda I showed her several pictures and trusted her to cut my hair. After she dried my hair I noticed that the layers were not even and the more I try to work with my hair the more o virus it is that I was given a great clips quality cut at an Aveda price.

The new salon is just beautiful, and I love the location. Edwin has been doing my hair for over a year. I have always been thrilled with the color and style. Everyone who works at Onu is so friendly and professional. I really look forward to getting my hair done! :)
