My hair is ridiculous. Long. Wavy/curly/straight/kinky (I have found all types of hair on top of my head. It looks so very awful when left to its own devices. It is a mess for me to work with so I generally just brush it out and braid it or pull it up). Amber is a master at taming the beast. She is super attentive and makes sure that shes done something that I like before letting me leave. I am totally willing to have her expert hands working with my hair from now on since the one time I went to a salon in Bloomington (Amber was my stylist in Indy before I moved), the stylist missed at least half the split ends I wanted her to get rid of, cut the bangs I wanted to try out super jagged and way fuller than I wanted, and then proceeded to flat iron my hair into a mess, WITHOUT ASKING IF I EVEN WANTED MY HAIR STYLED STRAIGHT. That lady also wandered about spending more time chatting with employees and clients than on my hair. In contrast, Amber is very thorough and constantly checks to make sure ends are clean, all cutting is even, and asks how I would like my hair styled at the end of the appointment, sometimes making a recommendation or asking if she can play around with my hair, putting it into interesting French braids or other styles. I recommend Rumors to anyone who asks what the best salon in town is!

BAD!!!!!!! REALLY, REALLY BAD!!!!! I went to Rachel at this salon and I asked her to hightlight my darkish blonde hair. She bleached it blonde by over-highlighting it and then left roots that are 1/2" long. It looks like I need to go get my roots touched up blonde now. I spent $100 for this mess. They offered to fix my hair. I definitely want to spare myself from getting another botch job. I contacted my credit card company but they wont refund my money. They said the policy at Rumors "Aveda" salon was that no cash refunds are allowed. I normally wouldnt humiliate myself by posting such ugly pictures but I am pissed. In addition to the botch job she is extremely pokey. It took her 3 HOURS TO DO MY HAIR!!! I had to pay another $30 just for babysitting while she ruined my hair. Pisses me off. DO NOT GO TO THIS SALON. IT SUCKS!!!!!!! DEFINATELY NOT A "TRUE" AVEDA SALON!!!!!!

Get spoiled and pampered at this cozy establishment - competitive price, great atmosphere and polite staff. Services are rendered politely, unsure of a product - request a consultation and youll learn of the many ways in which you can enhance yourself. Clean facility, waiting area offers guest a chance to interact with staff as they transition throughout their tasks at times.
