I am writing this in the hopes of saving other brides, from the disaster that my daughter went through at the hands of this very unprofessional salon. My daughter arranged to have a hair trial at least three weeks before her wedding that was at the end of July and had chose Mardon because she was informed that they had, what they called"Wedding Gypsies" that would travel up to 75 miles for an event. She did a trial of her hair paid $90 for just the trial (total overpriced) a hairstyle that literally consisted of long curls in her long hair.We paid hoping to get excellent service, which she was assured. We returned the next week after work to put the down payment of $200.00 for her hair and her wedding party. We asked if everything was fine and was there anything else we needed to know or do they said no all was good and gladly took our deposit. The very next morning she received a call from the salon stating that not only could they not travel to her hotel room that was less than two blocks away from the salon so she did not have to go out in her wedding gown, but that they were sorry her hairstylist that she had her trial with would not be available. This mind you was now two weeks before her wedding day! They informed her they could give her a new stylist and basically it was her luck whether her hair turned out the way she wanted it! They also told us they were sorry but could not refund the money. We told them that the only way we would except a new stylist was if they gave her a new trial at no cost to us and if that was not possible we demanded a refund! Very much to our surprise they did not offer her a new trial but agreed for the refund. Brides, please beware of their false promises if you do not want to be left struggling to find someone new last minute before your wedding! They are the most unprofessional group of people and VERY OVERPRICED for the quality of work and services provided, save your money! On the bright side we took her to "Shanis salon in Indianapolis that did an amazing job and she looked absolutely stunning on her wedding day no thanks to MARDON! If I had a choice of no stars that would have been my choice.

This place is no where near as good as it used to be in my modest option. All of their best stylists have been driven away or have left, and recently it seems that theres been such a high turn over rate you never quite know what youre going to get when you go in, or call you get "that person is no longer with us". Ive only been happy with two of their people (which are now gone, one having been there for ages) everyone else I got just seemed incompetent and didnt quite understand what I wanted. Ive had my hair cut crooked and a couple times before and didnt notice until I got home and washed the product out of my hair and saw it lay flat, I called and said I wanted it fixed. Told me that was up to the stylish but I could be charged a touch up fee or charged full price if I used someone else since that stylist wasnt there at the time. That was really the last straw when I had to go elsewhere to get fixed up. Though Im not the only one thats had these experiences. It just seems to me that they dont care as much as they should for their clients, and the last visits Ive had with my non regular all felt rushed and and apathetically done. I now go to Bent. The feel of the place also seems to have changed from the classy to a high school girl/sorority house feel where everyone speaks with lisps and shadow vowels, and all that matters is the superficial. So if ditzy and dense with a hit and lick it, promise to better next time attitude is what you seek then this may be the place for you.

DO NOT GO HERE!! I was secretly assigned to a "master stylist" which apparently means they are more rude than your typical barber and get to charge $35 dollars for a hair cut that should cost $15. My appointment started late and when I complained both about the quality of my haircut and the outrageous price (which is posted nowhere and its impossible to distinguish who is arbitrarily a "master stylist") I was told there was nothing the could do. It is amazing this place is in business and I would not recommend it to anyone. I had my hair cut next to a friend of mine who was charged half the price as me for the exact same service, yet my "master stylist" sprayed my hair down with a cold water bottle then used an electric razor to give me a 4 cut claiming this is as mens hair consulting. I dont want to be personal, but I will say that her personality is not one that should be involved in the service business. She was rude, short, and clearly did not want to talk or have any kind of social interaction with me. If you want an extremely overpriced hair cut of inferior quality with horrible customer service, this is your new salon.

Just left from getting my hair done. I entered with "hay-like" strands dangling from my head, my hair was so damaged. Somehow, Misty managed to color and highlight it and still make it look healthy. The cut was amazing. It feels really soft to the touch now and the people I have seen since I got back cant believe the difference. I am sure Misty spent way more time on my hair than she would normally conditioning it, etc. but her hard work does not go unappreciated. I will definately be back. Ive never had anything but a great experience here. I actually started coming here after shooting a bridal party (I am a wedding photographer in Bloomington) getting ready at this salon. I loved the way everyone was treated and decided to give it a shot myslef; I am really glad I did!

NO STARS. Absolutely awful. Unprofessional service. I got a treatment to give my hair body, NO DIFFERENCE and it was way too expensive. I was there for five hours trying to get my hair cut decently and ended up having to return to see the master stylist to fix the abomination on my head. Rude and uncaring people. After leaving with a sloppy and uneven pixie cut, I returned and asked for my money back (I also had my brows waxed. Dont ever get your eyebrows waxed here, talk about uneven tadpoles...) because I could not believe what they were charging for their "service". Inexcusable. The good ratings are from the staff trying to boost themselves up.

I went here to get my hair cropped short and the result was this terrible uneven bob that didnt look at all how I wanted. The stylist went to town with the texturizer for no good reason and clearly had no idea how to deal with short hair. Yes, the service is good and you get a free face massage but I dont think the stylists have much experience. They probably only know how to do the three or four common "college chick" hair styles and nothing else. In fact, I finally was so frustrated that I cut my own hair later and it looked way better! This salon is way overpriced and seems aimed at rich college kids who dont know any better.
