Well, I had the hardest time communicating with the lady on the phone. It was one of those conversations where the person offering the service thinks you should know how they run their business? And gets kind of short with you when you dont understand? Kind of annoying to start off that way. Anyhow, the electrician, Jerry, was very pleasant to talk to. Unfortunately, he was a complete no-show for my appointment. I called ½ hour after my appointment time to see if he wanted to reschedule for later in the day. There had been a terrible storm the night before and I assumed they had picked up an emergency call. He said thats exactly what had happened. So I said that it was no problem for me to wait until later that day. Again, kind of annoying that I had to do the calling to find out what was going on. It would have been pretty easy to just give me a call to let me know. But whatever, its not the electricians job to act as his own receptionist if he actually has one, right? Again, Jerry was very nice on the phone, and sounded kind of busy. I told him to just call as soon as he was on his way and he said he would. But he never did call back, and neither did anyone else from the company. Now, that was the last straw. For some reason I suspect the scheduling staff dropped the ball, because every time I spoke to Jerry he was professional and courteous. I wasted an entire day waiting around for them. I have to cancel and reschedule the next phase of work on my kitchen until I can get another electrician. I will be calling someone else first thing Monday morning. And I will be telling all of my friends on NextDoor to stay away from this company unless they can get their scheduling act together.

The electricity in my home was fluctuating consistently and beginning to cause me eye strain and pain. The lights and power sources were flickering dim to bright with the bigger appliances pulling ALL the power. A small example of my power current issue would be that I could not operate my popcorn popper on that current. And if the microwave, washing machine and refrigerator were all running at the same time, the breaker would trip. Lol. I researched companies in my area, having a small house, I wanted someone familiar with small older homes. I found 3 companies, with West Side Electric being one of them. They were the first call I made. I reached Jerry, the owner, on the first call and he was welcoming and very informative. Jerry scheduled a day to do an estimate and a week later they were back to do the work. I thought I would need whole home electricity rewiring, but in the end all that was needed was a new circuit box. It was a full day job! The quote was very reasonable and team of electricians worked efficiently. I was VERY pleased with the end result. My power is now consistent with plenty to spare for new/and big appliances. I HIGHLY recommend West Side Electric for their exceptional quality, service and expertise and for your electrical, heating, and air conditioning needs. March 2015.

I called these guys to fix repairs needed to sell my home. Talked to the receptionist who wrote down the list of things I needed completed over the phone and then went, while I was on hold, talked to the owner and was quoted an estimate of ~$200. They knew that I could not be there an that my mother would let them in to do the work, but the electricians showed up with no idea of what they were to do. Fortunately, my mother had a printed copy of the to-do list which they were handed. They may have completed one thing on the list? Charged $155. After calling the receptionist several times, shed always not have a receipt to read out to me over the phone for work done. I had to call out another electrician (Mister Sparky) who fixed the remainder of the work and had to re-do the outlet that they had fixed because it was done poorly and incorrectly. Would not recommend! Poor record keeping, customer service, and electrical service all in one package

This electric company is who I called when I was recently in the dark. I guess we blew a fuse or overloaded a breaker and messed it up so much that the box needed to be upgraded to handle all the hair dryers running J/K - We were very treated fairly and they got it all taken care of quickly.

These guys are pretty amazing. Ive used them for several jobs and more than anything, Im impressed with their work ethic. If you want to know that the job is being done right, give them a call. You wont regret it.

These guys are my go to electricians and HVAC guys. It has been so hot this summer that we have had to repair several air conditioning units. They are great at diagnosing and correcting the problem the first time.
