Pros: 24 hour access! Lap pool AND adaptive motion trainers No shortage of cardio machines Ive actually met a few staff members that are very friendly. But....if I didnt require the AMTs and the 24 hours access, I would most certainly go elsewhere. From the rusty, rattling old weight machines to the piles of sand in the pool, it really doesnt get any crappier, grimier, or scarier than this place (not even including the wack clientele.) If you include fees, it amounts to $41.50 per month. (!!!) For this there is no WiFi, and every TV is set to either FauxNews, or some other advertising-centric news or sports program so we all can get our brainwash on while we work out. Why not have something on the screens that is inspiring or uplifting in some way? I realize Im probably the only person in the world that cares about this...and yeah, its petty, all things considered. Look, Ill shut up about the TVs if youll just clean the place up a bit, because it really is quite gross. TL:DR: if you dont NEED the 24 hour access, the adaptive motion trainers, or the lap pool, as I do, then you will be happier at another gym.

For some of you in the Arlington area, I have visited the Irving facility and the two in Bedford. This gym is a bit small but the staff is good and their equipment gets cleaned daily. They will fix their equipment in a timely manner and will post signs when you complain about equipment that needs servicing. This facility has a pretty large amount of members so choose your times of work out around the typical peak times. They have moved their work out equipment around a couple of time in the past couple of yrs. to fit practical use. Their Kids club is good but you may have to wait in line to check in or out during peak times. The parking is a bit tight (narrow spaces) but has designated spaces for those that ride motorcycles up front and a bicycle parking by the front doors. All in all, in this area, this gym seems to be the better choice. I formally worked out at the Dallas 24 Hour Fitness @ Royal and Hwy 75. That was a very well maintained gym! Oh and as for some of the other users reviews of the near by gyms, unfortunately one that I read about crystalized sweat on the equipment it true!

I like that there are a lot of machines, but sometimes too many treadmills are not working correctly. We used to use the saunas and the pool but many times those were broken also. The people at the front desk are very friendly, always smiling and greet us and also wish us a good day when we leave.I went at 4 a.m. today and other then it was too hot in there it was easy to find a machine as only 4 other people were in there. Over all I like the place, its always clean when I go (in any area including the pool area, except by the hot tub the shower always has flying little bugs in it, we all know to use the other shower). But the womens rest room and showers are nice, ive never seen it dirty in there. the machines are always clean when I go to, and ive been in there in the early a.m. and later a.m. and in the afternoon. I have not gone in the evening. the trainers are nice, the manager always seems mad tho, not sure if its just the way he looks or if he really is always in a bad mood.

I work out all over the United states due to traveling for business. I attended this location last night and it was by far the worst 24 Ive ever been to. None of your gyms are clean or organized and im used to that. This one was simply terrible. There were weights scattered absolutely everywhere. There were groups of people with speakers blaring their music out loud over your gyms speakers the whole time. People were literally throwing dumbells around the floor. Mind you all this is happening while your employees are just hanging out or training people nearby. Most the showers had no doors or curtains and there was standing water all over the showers and locker room. Actual stalls looked like they havent been cleaned in weeks. Im too the point in about to cancel my whole families membership. This has been a growing problem in general. Ive talked to groups of people with the same outlook.

Ive been going to this gym on and off for around 5 years, and overall Id say its okay. The staff is friendly and they keep it fairly clean, but my biggest complaint is the equipment. The machines are very old and havent been replaced since I started coming here. The labels on the cable weights have all been worn off and there are no signs of them being replaced any time soon. It can be quite frustrating not knowing how much weight youre using. Theres only one squat rack and zero power racks. They should invest in at least one power rack to complement the squat rack Theres no lying or standing leg curl machine but two inferior seated leg curl machines. Thats more me being picky but it is an issue. I like this gym and would like to continue coming here but if they dont start replacing or at least improving some of the equipment I might have to go elsewhere

Very disappointed not only is the equipment and facility not maintained, the staff is poorly trained. When you want to speak to the manager he is not available. The wet sauna and hot tub are always broke. The womens locker room is (most of the times) a mess. The list goes on and on. Also there is a lack of security at night. ANYONE can walk in the door that is not a member. There was a issue back in November 2010 when there was a possible pick pocket that walked in the ladies locker room and startled several female members. The polices were called out and a report taken. When attempted to address security issues with the manager I was always told "hes in a meeting" and would never return my calls. Its a shame I gave up my YMCA membership for this place. I go to another 24 Hour location that is much cleaner, friendlier and customer service oriented.

I recently signed up at this gym and the staff is really nice. After reading all of the old comments how the showers are dirty etc staff rude things like that it seems the place has gotten better The showers are nice and I go there at night time and theyre always checking the chemical levels in the pool and hot tub. Theres three machines I noticed upstairs that a few machines seem to be broken but they all have signs stating this. Cleaning stations are all over the place so you can clean the machines after yourself like big boys and girls. I would still recommend shower shoes for safety but overall this is a nice gym and the staff is nice too. Also I talked to a few of them and if youre unsure what to do say you want to burn fat or bulk they have no problems giving you pointers. 5 stars from me! Very happy with this gym.

This place was horrible.. missing both the Abduction and Adduction machines as well as the seated calf and lying leg extension machines. And that was only what I saw so far trying to lift legs. They have 2 televisions per section of the cardio so if you dont like whats on too bad.. Ants all over the bathroom floor.. more people just sitting taking up the machines they had, sitting there on their cell phones for 20 minutes. I will never been back.. Not sure why 24 hour fitness cant take care of their machines. Even the machines they have dont even have the pictures on them letting you know what they machine is called or what it works, what is it $5 to replace those. Come on.. Dont be fooled with the nice pictures this place is awful.
