I never get my hair done; just because its a lot of time, effort, and money. Im a pretty naturally content girl, and have naturally long blonde hair. This summer, the roots of my blonde hair have just been so much darker than they normally are and I was really starting to feel self conscious about them. Im new to the Corpus area, so I dont know much about places reputations, but as I searched on google to find someplace to go to trust with my hair, I found a lot of salons that were run down, with bad reviews. Until I read about Luxe Aveda Salon. I chose Luxe Aveda because I found review after review saying you wouldnt find better customer service in Corpus than with them. This sounded good to me, and quickly, they proved themselves deserving of that reputation. I called to make an appointment about 30 minutes before they opened without realizing they werent open for the morning yet. I was kind of embarrassed I had called before anyone was even in the salon! So I didnt leave a message. Within minutes of them opening, my call was returned by Ray who said they had received a recent missed call, and we booked an appointment. I was blown away by how fast and responsive they were; and I didnt even leave a message! I went in and met my hairdresser Irene, who was darling. She was so friendly, and it wasnt hard opening up to her as someone Im trusting with my hair that I had never met before. I told her I was a baby about my hair, which she was so sweet about; she told me I came to the right person because she is a perfectionist. Irene cares about the opinions and input from her clients, and will work around what you want, but gives helpful tips and suggestions to keep your hair as healthy as possible, while giving you the results youre looking for. She blended my hair beautifully, in the least damaging way possible. She kept offering to get me drinks or anything else that I needed, and I was so grateful to be in such good hands. If you want to have wonderful hair results, but also make a lovely new friend, check out Irene at Luxe Aveda; youll be happy you did! I told Irene that I rarely pamper myself; and it was definitely an expense that I didnt plan on being as much as it was, just because of what I wanted done and because my hair is so long; so its definitely not something I can afford to do often; but because of that, it was such a treat, and I felt so good about my hair; its been a long time since Ive liked how my hair looks! THANK YOU Ray & Irene; 100% recommendation from me.

I know the girl who did my hair means well, only because I noticed her boss peering over his shoulder to endure he gets his money; way to be subtle. However, my hair is blotchy everywhere after just one wash (the color wasnt even close to what I asked for to begin with) and these $200 extensions I bought are ruined, blotchy and the hair is literally falling out. I was told the extensions were already shedding like crazy which no, they werent. I have been wearing extensions for six or seven years so I know to test the hair, to the strand check for quality air. I dont know how someone can look you in the eye, see what they did and still take your money. Maybe because of my age it made me an east target to cheat, well congratulations you have your $240 and a very sad client. I have never felt more betrayed by a hair salon and now more than ever my self esteem has gone from a 6 to a 1. I really hope they stop cheating their clients and are honest about their "capabilities", especially when clients of out of their way for a consultation TO AVOID THIS VERY THING. Tim Bo was probably the best stylist there, Im on a mission to find him to fix this terrible mistake. I recommend anyone looking for a salon, to please not support a business that doesnt care weather the client is satisfied or not. Thank you for this terrible experience, I truly hope you all find it in your hearts to never let down another client ever again. There is no harm in stating you cannot do something, there is harm in doing what you want rather than the client and also handing them extensions that are falling to pieces, brown yellow and grey in different areas and expecting them to pay. I shouldve been remembered for the extensions, THAT is what really blew me over to write this review.

I have been going to Luxe for 4 years and have only positive things to say about all of my experiences there. I get my hair cut by Ray and he has never let me down. He always takes his time and makes sure I am satisfied before I walk out. As far as the atmosphere of the salon, it is in a nice shopping center, is always clean, and has modern decor. Every stylist is always friendly and there is just an overall good vibe. Water is always offered and wine is even available if that is your sort of thing. I have sent many of my friends and family there and no one has left unhappy. I would highly recommend visiting this salon. As for the few negative reviews on here..I guess you cant please everyone.

I dont always take the time to write reviews but I am very pleased with the services The Luxe provided. My Stylist was Kyla, she was recommended by my friend for her phenomenal work! She has worked on at least two other girlfriends hair and has done a fantastic job. I needed Kyla to fix another stylists terrible job on my hair and she did great. I originally had a terrible blended ombre. I have medium long fine hair, and the ombre was high on the back, not blended, brassy and yellowish allover with different blonde shades. Kyla was able to blend the ombre making the blondes and browns blend in with my dark hair. She is great at her job. I will come back for sure.

My daughter went to get her hair cut yesterday and Ray cut it. He barely shampooed and or conditioned her hair. He cut her hair and walked away three times! It took him not even 10 minutes to cut it! She didnt get it dried and styled but came home and did it. Her hair is un even beyond belief! It looks chopped like a 3 year old did it! I politely called and was hoping to get money back to go somewhere else to repair it but only got attitude from him. She is 16 and very shy and didnt want to go back as he already messed up her beautiful long hair. Needless to say, very impersonal while she was there, and very bad hair cut! Sad....

Absolutely LOVED this salon. Im new to the area and when I went to google salons I read all the reviews and decided on the Luxe. Ray did my partial foil low-light and cut perfectly! The color looks amazing and the cut is just as awesome. Prior to the visit, we discussed which color option would be best and how I wanted the cut. He was VERY knowledgeable about color and very precise on the cut. My visit couldnt have went better. When I checked out, the price was completely reasonable. Ive actually spent a lot more and my hair is super short. Overall, my experience was GREAT and I finally found my new salon. 3/30/12 Christina
