Update to initial post of 2 stars: After my first 2 star review, a new instructor was assigned to me and he did his best to elevate my experience, therefore I am adding another star for a total of 3 stars. Initial review: I purchased a Groupon for $39 which entitled me to two private lessons and one group lesson. While learning about the Arthur Murray program, I signed up for two more classes for an additional $284. If you have time to go to all of the practice events, this comes out to about $30 a time, otherwise the cost is high. If you do not attend the group classes, you are paying about $142 per dance lesson. During my first private lesson, the music did not match our dance because instructors have to SHARE the music in the studio. That was confusing to me. I did enjoy learning basic dance steps in a safe environment, however, the high cost is currently prohibitive for my present budget. I learned while buying my dance shoes that there are some other places around town that are about $15 for drop in. I would definitely take more classes at A.M. if the cost was lower!

We got a Groupon to try out a couple classes and practice for dancing at our wedding. Everyone was very nice and very helpful. Marcel sent great instructions via email with appointment reminders and what to prepare for. Denise was our instructor and she was easy to talk to and learn the moves from. We were going to get a package anyways, but they are very pushy about getting you to buy a package before you leave. And the packages are rather pricey, but I believe itll be worth it in the end.

Everyone at this location is very friendly and ready to get you tapping your toes! The instructor I worked with was Laura who is absolutely amazing, and has the attitude and grace of Lioness. Whether youre just getting into dance or just want to learn more about it, I highly recommend this location. I signed up for this class with my uncle so we could share a beautiful dance at my wedding, and although hes the quiet type, Laura is making a great dance leader out of him already!

I am so happy to have learned at Arthur Murray Dance Studio. I always wanted to learn to dance ballroom because of fancy movies in the 1930s and 1940s. The instructors in Arthur Murray provide fun, excellent, and healthy instruction. They really want you to succeed in your dancing. I met the man of my dreams soon to be my husband at a competion! There is no other school of ballroom dance that teaches the men to lead so well! Thank you Arthur Murray!

From the first phone call to Arthur Murray Dance Studio in Dallas, we had a positive experience. They are very professional in how they care for their customers as well as in the way they look and dance. The system for learning is one that makes it easy for everyone, even those who have never felt comfortable on the dance floor. The staff was very professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. We purchased a Groupon and scheduled the 2 private lessons back-to-back. Our instructor did a great job teaching us the foundation for Foxtrot, Rumba, and Salsa. I would highly recommend Arthur Murray for your dance lesson needs.
