The vision of Park Cities Dance and The Dallas Conservatory for the Arts is in the process of becoming the STEPS of DFW. I believe this is significant and helpful to dancers in this region. The owner is genuine in her vision and goals for the future of dance in the DFW area. The facilities are pristine and exceptional in comparison to many other studio facilities. It is phenomenal how this studio has vastly grown in nearly three years. Every teacher on staff has professional qualifications and credentials, and each class is worth the expense. The class times are beneficial to adults who desire classes during the latter part of the evening (after 6:30 p.m.). Hopefully there will be more of those classes in the future! In the midst of the positive aspects of this studio, there are negative aspects...Any place has pros and cons. I write to help this business improve and exceed customer expectations in every aspect of their business. My only complaint is that the executive management, including the owner, should exude a more friendly and welcoming atmosphere to every student and drop-in. Not only do I want feel welcomed by other customers, I desire to have the opportunity to simply feel appreciated in a sincere manner by the executive management, including the owner, themselves. Whether an individual is a drop-in from another studio or a serious student studying at PCD fourteen hours a week, each person should feel happy after walking out of the doors of PCD in order to increase trust and satisfaction in PCD. Every customer/student deserves respect. This is the only reason I gave this business a 4 Star rating. To conclude, I would recommend this studio to dancers.

Incredibly talented staff, no question there. Studio is brand new, modern, spacious, high quality flooring, etc. After asking around in other social circles, there were several complaints from mothers about the OWNER of PCD not being very patient or good with the younger dancers. She will also tell a girl in front of her mother why her physical attributes wont allow her to be a successful dancer (i.e. big feet, slope of her shoulder, etc), she will scold and grab toddlers if they are fussy crying or loud in the waiting rooms or lobbies, and a very high and mighty attitude from her part about how parents cant handle their children. They should focus on DANCE and not parenting skills, that is definitely not their job or forte. Many out there say, and I quote: "I would never allow this lady (the owner) to teach my children". However, young dancers do need structure and discipline but there is a very fine line between that and outright stepping over parents toes. Owner may very well write a reply to review denying her behavior but I agree with the other Google review about her treatment of young dancers/siblings. However, shes a very talented woman, she should not deal with people, that is what her manager is there for and does a MUCH better job. Mothers are too busy to write reviews online, the ones that made some of these complaints were urged to do so, its like voting for elections, the FEW that vote end up choosing our leaders and then people complain, so they should write their reviews so that people are aware and make wise decisions. But if you just have older kids, you may very well be just fine at PCD, incredibly talented professors, hands down!

I am 11 and I started training at Park Cities Dance in the summer. With in a few weeks I could tell I was becoming a better dancer. The other studio I was at did not provide proper training. Park Cities Dance is the best dance school in Dallas. I currently take 10 hours a week and working my way up to the higher levels with the strict yet encouraging support of all the teachers and especially the owner, Jacqueline Porter (Ms.Jacqueline). All of the teachers are so talented and encouraging and push you to your limit to make you the best you can be! No matter what age or level you are you are trained as if you are destined to become a dancer. Park Cities Dance also has AMAZING musical theatre, singing + acting, and TV and film acting classes. I take a musical theatre and singing+acting class and they are some of my favorite classes, the teacher, Doug Miler, is so fun and supportive but also an amazing teacher who is very professional, (he acts and directs in the Dallas area.) Park Cities Dance is one of the best decisions I have ever mad win my life and I know everyone elses that goes their. Please come and see what you think, I wish that everyone could be a good dancer. I know you wont regret it!!

World Class. My daughter is 14 and loves ballet. Two years ago, we moved from Paris to Dallas and had some anxiety about her continuing to enjoy her hobby. We found in PCD the best possible place to do so. As a matter of fact, my daughter love for ballet has now extended to Jazz...and Hip Hop. We opted for the unlimited classes and if it were not for school duties, my daughter will spend 5-6 hours a day here. Ms. Jacqueline is a phenomenal teacher who cares about every single one of her students and takes pride in seeing them develop. She is very serious about having them perfect their moves. She can be very strict and if anything that is a reflection of how passionate she is about what she is doing and how much she cares about her students. The other professors (all activities( are selected with a lot of scrutiny by Ms. J. My daughter interacts with 4-5 of them and is extremely happy with every single one. Ms. J love for dance is contagious. Her energy is viral. The new studios offer a great setting. I was afraid that with the expansion of PCD, we will loose some of Ms. J special touch. None of that happened. This place is world class.

Truly the best ballet and jazz classes and teachers in Dallas. Park Cities Dance ballerinas have won many ballet competitions on regional and international levels. No other studio in Dallas is producing such strong dancers. When chosing a studio be sure to look at teacher credentials. I have found some of the more popular studios will have SMU students( nondance majors) with SOME dance as a child teach their classes. of course the students love the teachers but there are NO results.Park Cities DAnce only hires PROFESSIONAL teachers with degrees in dance and who continue to stay active in local dance community and dance on their in troups etc. They also offer to administer you Off Campus PE program for free. Many Belles and Belle hopefuls have trained here but that seems to be a secret.

When i turned 30, i decided i wanted to take a ballet class to relieve stress and get a workout at the same time. I was referred to Park Cities Dance by a good friend whos daughter had been a student there. The ONLY regret i have is that i did not sign up sooner. i couldnt be MORE thrilled with the instruction ive received in the adult ballet class. This studio has a VERY friendly and warm staff, and along with the other students, i am constantly updated on upcoming events and new classes. It is clean, cozy, and safe and i have NEVER seen anyone upset or act rudely. If you are reading this thinking to yourself "maybe i should do that" or "i always thought about taking ballet" - just do yourself a favor and call to sign up, or at least stop by and visit this studio. You wont regret it.
